Upon hearing Chloe's words, Xavia trembled in fear. She shook her head and said, "I can't do it. It'llscar my face…"

"It's just a scar. You won't die," Chloe said coldly, her face devoid of emotion.

Xavia pressed her lips tightly together as if having made a decision. " Fine. If I do what you say, willyou spare me?"

Chloe responded truthfully, "It depends. I’ll consider it."

A flash of hatred flitted past Xavia's eyes. That was more than enough for her. When she saw Cyruslater this evening, she would ensure that Chloe never sees the light of day ever again.

Feeling uneasy, Emily whispered to Chloe, "Are you sure about this?"

She did not care if Xavia died or not. She just did not want to get into trouble. After all, there werecameras everywhere, and escaping unnoticed was nearly impossible. Even the lightestinvestigation would surely expose them.

Chloe tapped her temple and said, "Do you think she'll actually harm herself? It's Xavia we're talkingabout here."

Xavia was sharp. She would always assess the situation before making any decision. Otherwise,how could she have found her second chance so quickly? She would never allow herself to be in adisadvantageous situation.

"Huh?” Emily was dumbfounded.

Meanwhile, Xavia had assessed the surroundings and realized escaping was impossible. She tooka deep breath, found the right angle, and lunged toward the basin with a loud crash. When she

raised her head, blood streamed down from a wound on her forehead. Her face turned pallid, andshe looked pitiful.

"Is that enough?"

Chloe's gaze shifted to Xavia's wound. She stared at it silently for a few minutes, her expressiondevoid of any emotion.

Xavia clutched at her forehead, feeling disdain over Chloe's calm demeanor. She regretted notkilling Chloe back at the hospital. If she had managed to kill her back then, it would have saved hera lot of trouble. But even though she was kneeling before Chloe now, she still triumphed over her.After all, Chloe’s son called her mom.

Chloe let out a yawn and said in a slow and leisurely manner as if she had grown tired of watchingTV, “Okay, you can go now."

Xavia composed herself and nodded meekly. Supporting herself with the wall, she left the restroom.

"Coco, you're letting her go?" Emily asked in disbelief.

"For now."

"Do you have other plans?"

"Yes."

Suddenly, Emily pointed at Chloe's neck. "Did you have sex with Noah?! I can see a hickey on yourneck!"

Chloe froze, then realized what Emily was talking about. She blushed slightly and said, "No. Eventhough we're engaged, we haven't done anything like that."

"Then what’s this? Are you having an affair?" Emily pressed.

Placing her hand on her forehead, Chloe said, "No! I just fell into some scumbag's trap."

"Ah… Well, just be careful next time. If you didn’t take any protective measures, it's best if you go tothe hospital and get a check-up. There are too many people with STDs nowadays. At my office,there was this guy who had an affair and ended up contracting a disease from his mistress. He thenpassed it to his wife. It was such a mess."

After this brief conversation, Chloe pondered as she watched Xavia walk away. She was not sure ifJoseph had slept with many other women, but Xavia definitely had slept around. It was a good ideato get herself checked.

Xavia left through the back door directly from the restroom. When Chloe returned to the dining hall,Kenneth was seated before a table full of dishes, talking on the phone. Shortly after hanging up, hegot up and left.

After having her fill, Chloe noticed a message on her phone.

"I've arranged bodyguards for you. They're waiting for you at the entrance of the restaurant."
