Chapter 14

NATALIE'S POV:

I woke up with a heavy head and found myself in the same hospital room with drips on my hand. Allthe events started to flash in front of my eyes. I saw the battle between the wolves, I saw Kylie, Anna,and Cassandra transforming into a wolf in front of my eyes. I know this is something unbelievable,but I saw this with my own eyes. I always thought werewolf, vampires, they exist in a fictional world.Ahhh, this all seems like a dream. I need to replace out the truth.

I sat up on the bed and the moment I was about to remove the drips from my hand, a lady camerushing.

"Luna, Luna-- please lay down. Alpha shall get angry on me"

Oh god, if I don't listen to her she'll surely call Alpha, I mean Theodore. I need to give her someexcuse. I thought.

"I am thirsty, I need a glass of water”, I replied.

"Luna, the jug and glass are kept on the table beside you", She replied pointing at the table.

"Ya, I know that but I don't want that water, could you please get me a glass of freshwater?”

"Sure" she replied and left from the room.

No sooner did she leave, I removed all the drips from my hand and ran from the room. Whilerunning, I heard Theodore's voice from a room. I tiptoed to the room and tried to hear theirdiscussion.

A man asked Theodore, "Theodore, could you please tell us, how Natalie is Haya Ma'am and NeilSir's daughter?”

One second, how do they know mommy and daddy and why is he referring to them as Sir andMa'am. I was confused.

Cassandra inquired, "Manik even though she is Haya Ma'am and Neil sir's daughter, how can she bea human?"

What do they mean, how's she a human? Momma and Dadda, weren't they humans?

"Because she had been adopted by Uncle Neil and Aunt Haya", Theodore replied and I was shockedto listen to Theodore's words.

"Theodore we are unable to understand, what are you saying?", Theodore's friend Steven asked."I'll narrate to you everything", an old man told in a low voice and narrated the complete story

My real parents were killed when I was born, my adoptive parents too got killed just to save me! Ohgod, this all it's not true. These werewolves, these wars, I, a healer, I am unable to understandanything. If it's true, then I am so unfortunate, so many people died because of me. I couldn't stopmyself from crying. It all felt like a nightmare. Uncle Tony, Aunt Maria, they are not my real uncleand aunt. I am having no one in this world.

"Theodore does Natalie knows about all these things?', Cassandra inquired.

"No Cassandra, I don't think so and it's better she doesn't get to know", Theodore replied.

"Manik, the Red Blood Pack knows that Natalie is in our pack, they might attack us again”, a mantold.

"I'll protect my mate and will increase the patrolling on the borders. There is a traitor in our pack weneed to replace out!", Theodore told.

He was still ready to protect me, despite his entire family getting killed while saving me Such a foolhe is!.

Suddenly, Theodore's friend Steven's eyes went upon me and I looked at him with tears in my eyes.He muttered something to Theodore and Theodore turned back immediately and his eyes metmine.

"Natalie", He called my name softly but I didn't listen to him and ran from there while he followedme.

"Natalie, please listen to me", he called out.

I went to the bedroom and sat on the bed crying badly. Theodore knelt in front of me and held myhands.

"Please tell me, whatever I heard was a lie", I told crying.

"Natalie, when you have heard everything, I won't lie to you now. It's all true”, He replied.

"No, it's not true. Werewolf and all they don't exist. It's all myth, they exist in a fictional world", I kepton denying.

"Baby you cannot run from the truth. You have to accept it", he told softly wiping off my tearsgently.

"No, it's not true. It's all a dream. Everything is a nightmare, you are a nightmare, everything is anightmare”, I replied crying and hitting him on his chest.

He held my hands gently and told, "No this all is a reality"

I pushed his hand away and went near the window crying. He transformed into his wolf form andcame towards me. I was scared for a few minutes but then I sat on the floor and hugged him crying."My real mom and dad got killed, my adoptive parents got killed, your entire family, the pack gotkilled because of me. Such an unfortunate person I am" I cried

Theodore transformed into his human form again and sat beside me taking me in a hug.

"No, you are not an unlucky person. Dare if you say that again”, he told angrily.

"I am. You cannot deny the fact. Just to save me, so many people gave up their lives. Whatfoolishness! Theodore, you better hand me over to those people” I told.

Listening to my words, he held my arms angrily and pulled me to his chest.

"Shut up. Just shut up. I am not going to hand you over to anyone. You're my mate, my other half. Iam going to protect you from all the harms and troubles. Dare if you say this again, Natalie.”

Tears welled up in my eyes again, yes I was scared of him, but at the same time, there was happinessafter listening to his words. He cares for me, at least, someone in this cruel world cares for me!"Natalie, please don't cry. I am sorry”, He told hugging me and I clutched his shirt and cried hugginghim back

"I love you", he whispered in my ears.

"I love you too", I replied spontaneously.

I bit my lips when I realized what I told. I mentally scolded myself, "What's wrong with you Natalie?Hold your horses!"

"What did you just say?", Theodore asked

I felt embarrassed and replied about nothing. I covered my face with my palm.

"No Natalie, you told something. Repeat once again” Theodore teased me.

"No I didn't say anything", I replied turning back.

"Someone is blushing. Ahem Ahem”, he laughed.

I turned towards him and hugged him tightly. Suddenly the same women, whom I fooled in thehospital came running.

"Alpha, Luna has escaped from the hospital room" She informed Theodore.

Theodore held my hands tenderly and told gritting his teeth

Listening to his remark, I couldn't stop giggling and Theodore was looking at me and was smilinglike a fool

"Theodore, can I ask you a question?”, I asked

"Of course. You can!”, he replied holding my hands and leading me downstairs to the dining room."Why do people call you Alpha and they refer me as Luna? And you also call your friends Beta,Gamma, and Omega?" I asked him.

I wanted the answers to every question of mine.

He pulled a chair for me and I sat. He began to serve me a juice and pancakes. Was he ignoring myquestion?

"Theodore, I asked you a question”, I told irritably.

'Yes baby, umm---yes-- people call me Alpha because I am the head of the pack, they call you Lunabecause you're my mate and beta and Gamma is my left hand and right hand, who carries myorders and Omegas are maids”, he replied.

"One more question”, I tried to speak but he interrupted me in between and told sternly

"First have food and then ask as many as questions as you want

I nodded and started having food. After having breakfast I am surely going to ask him questions. Iam not going to let him go until he answers my questions.
