Chapter 20

THEODORE'S POV:

My warriors, friends, and I kept on running through the forest to search for Natalie. Suddenly, I gotthe scent of Natalie's perfume. I sped up my paws and started following that scent. Suddenly, I got awhiff of Carl's scent too. Oh Moon goddess, please protect my mate, Natalie. She is stupid, I cannotbelieve it. Despite warning her not to step out of the mansion, she disobeyed me.

Natalie came running and hugged me. "Theodore, please save Abram, Carl will kill him"

I was shocked by listening to her. How does she know Abram and Carl? And why will Carl kill hisbrother? I swiftly transformed into my human form and asked her.

"Natalie what are you saying? How do you know Abram? And with whom did you escape and why?----Wait----did you escape with Abram?", I asked and she nodded affirmatively.

My eyes started turning black and my wolf started empowering me. "Why?" I asked furiously."Theodore, you can lecture me later. You can even punish me but please save Abram. Carl will killhim, Theodore, please save him. I don't want him to die", Natalie begged.

I was hurt and annoyed at the same time. I saw my mate crying for some other guy, who was myenemy's brother. But still, I cannot understand, what was she saying. Why will Carl kill his brother?Steven, Daniel, Zen, and my warriors came. I ordered Daniel and Zen to take Natalie back to thepack.

"No, Theodore I won't go back until Abram is fine and I see him with my own eyes", Natalie replied."Natalie, you are my mate. Do you fucking get that? I being your mate and an Alpha of Blue MoonPack orders you to go back to the pack with Zen and Daniel”, I yelled furiously and she flinchedback. Tears welled up in her eyes, but it didn't affect me, this time. Even I was hurt.

Zen, Daniel along with some warriors took Natalie back to the pack safely. I started to search forCarl and his brother Abram.

"Theodore, where are you going?", Steven asked. "To search for that bastard Carl and his brotherAbram. I want to see Steven, whether Carl kills, Abram, if he doesn't kill him, I am going to kill thatson of a bitch"

"Theodore, please act maturely.”, Steven told gripping my hands.

"Steven, you want me to act maturely? How will you behave when you replace your mate Anne cryingfor some other guy? I could read Natalie's eyes, she has the fear of losing Abram, just like I have thefear of losing her”, I yelled angrily.

"Theodore let's return to the pack, please, I am begging you", Steven told and I nodded. Wereturned to the pack.

I directly went to our room where I saw Natalie sitting on the bed and crying, while Kylie, Anna, andCassandra were trying to console her.

When she saw me, she came rushing. "Where is Abram, is he safe?"

I clenched my fist angrily listening to Abram's name from her mouth. "Theodore, I am asking yousomething. Where is Abram?"

"How do you know him? And why are you so concerned about him? Do you like him?", I askedcalmly.

"Theodore first you answer my question is he safe?", Natalie asked which made me more annoyedand I pinned her to the wall.

"You need not worry about him, he's not your mate. I am your mate, so you better answer myquestions” I yelled angrily.

"How can you be so possessive Theodore?" Natalie asked angrily.

"Because you're my mate and I love you. I can't hear any other man's name from your mouth. Doyou get that?", I roared, holding her jaws angrily.

"You know what Theodore, this is your bloody insecurity. I thought only we humans have thesetendencies, like possessiveness, jealousy, never knew that you werewolves too had these stupidtendencies”, Natalie yelled back at me.

"These tendencies like possessiveness, jealousy which you're talking about, is there in humans aswell as animals who love someone deeply. Just like you have these feelings for Abram. Isn't it?", Iasked clutching her waist.

"You're sick, bloody sick. I went with Abram to my house to get this locket which dad gave me onmy eighth birthday", Natalie yelled showing that locket.” And stop getting jealous of Abram, andbetter be thankful to him, he has gone against his brother to save me, to save you, to save ourentire pack”

I felt happy when she said "our pack’, But wait, what is she telling? Abram went against his brother,that's next to impossible.

"Natalie, can you please tell to us everything in detail?", Steven asked.

Natalie narrated to us everything, how she met Abram in high school, and how did they becomefriends. They went on a dinner date and on the way back to their home, they were attacked by awolf. Abram asked Natalie to run away from there and Natalie did what she was said. The next dayshe got to know that Abram was killed in an animal attack. Today morning, she saw Abram, peepingfrom the window and when she called him out, he ran from there. Natalie was about to follow himbut the Omegas stopped her way. Later, at noon when she was fast asleep, she heard some noisefrom the room and her sleep got disturbed. She saw Abram in the room. Abram told him how hisbrother Carl is behind her life as she's a healer and a destroyer of evils. Abram later asked her aboutthe locket which Uncle Neil gave her on Natalie's eighth birthday to which she replied that it is ather home. They both went together to get that locket and on their way back to the pack, Carlstopped their way. Abram asked Natalie to run away saying that he would stop Carl from chasingher. Natalie ran from there, hoping to get help for Abram.

Listening to her we all were shocked.

"What will you say now, Theodore? You should be obliged to him that he saved me, he saved youand your pack by notifying us about Carl's plan beforehand", Natalie told bitterly.

I still could not believe what she said. I very well know Abram, he loves his brother, how and why willhe go against him?

"Does Abram love you?", Steven asked and I looked towards Natalie waiting for her reply.

"Yes", Natalie replied. "Do you love him back?", I asked clenching my fist angrily.

"No", She replied not looking towards me.

"Look into my eyes and say that you don't love him back", I said.

"Are you crazy? It's not a movie-going on", She told frustratedly.

"Yes, I am crazy. Look into my eyes and say that you don't love him*, I told clutching her arms.

She looked into my eyes and replied, "I liked him, but since you've come into my life since I havegot to know the entire truth from you, you hold a special place in my heart and no one is going totake that place"

I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back too and whispered,"Theodore, I don't want to live in a pang of guilt my entire life. Abram tried to save me if god forbidsomething happens to him I'll not be able to forgive myself"

"I'll go back to the forest and will search for him.", I replied kissing her forehead.

"Thank you", She replied with tears in her eyes. I wiped off her tears and whispered in her ears, "ILove you"

She blushed red and I smiled looking at her.

"Girls, take care of her. We'll be back by evening", I told and left from there for the forest withSteven, Daniel, Zen, and other warriors to search for Abram.
