paid for your time, at least let me take my time,” He mumbled and rolled his eyes,

w minutes later, Kander drove into the compound of the restaurant where he had asked Lisa to meet up, and pulled over at the parking lot.

“Finally! I thought you were not going to show up… Lisa breathed out as soon as Xander walked up to him.

“You know I wasn’t supposed to be waiting for you here since you are the one that need my help, right?” She tucked her hair behind her ear and raised her shoulders briefly.

“Don’t make it look like we are doing this for free. I paid you already, so don’t complain,” He pulled out a chair and sat in front of her.

“Whatever!” She huffed.

“So, I need your help with–

“I don’t understand. Are we going to discuss without ordering anything? I mean, why are we in a restaurant if we are not going to order anything?” She cuts him off, and he scoffed.

“If you want to eat something, you can go ahead and order it from the money I paid to your account. How about that?” He leaned forward and smirked at

her

don’t think you are ready for this meeting. If I walk out through that door, you are going to have to pay me to come inside again, and I won’t give you a discount this time. So, are you going to order something for me to eat or not?” The corner of her lips twitched into a smirk as she looked at him.

“You are so…” He paused and glared hard at her.

“Waiter!” He finally called the waiter’s attention, and a young man in his late twenties came walking up to them with a smile on his face and of course, a menu book in his hand.

“You’re welcome, Sir. Are you ready to take your order now?” The waiter greeted Xander then turned to Lisa and asked.

“Yes, please. May I have the menu?” She stretched her hand and took the menu from him

“Are you going to eat something?” Her attention was all on the menu as she read through it carefully.

“Just a bottle of water,” He replied to her, and she closed the menu book.

“I can’t seem to pick anything that interests me in the menu. Just get me a glass of milkshake, and a bottle of water for him,” She handed the waiter the

menu book,

“Alright, Ms. I’ll get to it,”

“So, can we talk now?” Xander knocked on the glass table to get her attention after the waiter left, and she looked at him.

“Why are you in such a hurry? It’s not that you have a plan later. Relax!” She rolled her eyes as she reclined on the chair, and he scoffed.

The waiter finally walked back to them minutes later with their order, and served them.

“Thank you” She smiled as she picked up the milkshake

So, now I’m listening

What

do you need help with?” She sipped it and turned to him.

“It’s about Summer……. He paused and took a deep breath.

“What about her? Are you still insisting that she cheated on you?” She smirked, and he scoffed

“Ugh! Can you listen to me?”

“I’m listening. So, what about her?”

“Well You asked if I still loved her.”

“know you still do. So, what do you need help with?” She cuts him off as she dropped the glass on the table. Furthermore, she picked up a napkin and

wiped her mouth with it.

“What do you think I can do to get her back? I really want her back, but I don’t know where or how to start,”

“Did you change your mind? You said she cheated on you,” She uttered sarcastically, and he ran his fingers through his hair frustratingly

“Lisa. It’s really complicated. I wish I can tell you everything, but trust me, it’s really complicated,” How was he going to tell her that it was all their Mom’s fault”

“Fine! I will help you, not because I’m being sympathetic towards

ds you, but because of my friend…” She paused and flipped her hair behind her neck.

“Have you tried to ask for her

er forgiveness? Like

trying to talk things out with her,” She raised her eyebrows while looking at him.

“You think that’s going to work? I would’ve done that already if I was sure it’ll work. What do you think I should do?” He ruffled his hair for seconds and exhaled deeply.

“You know it’s been years since I last dated any girl, and I’ve been busy with work, so I almost have no idea about what make women happy

“Scratch that, Xander. Are you saying you never dated any girl after you two separated? You’ve not been with any she looked at him desperately like the answer to her question was written on his face.

“No,” He shrugged, and she scoffed

“And you want me to believe that lie?” She blinked her eyes rapidly

“I didn’t say that to impress you. It’s the truth. So,

“First, you need to show her your sincerity. You need to woo her again like you two have never been together before. Get her gifts, ask her out on dates… She would refuse to go on a date with you, but you have to be persistent. You need to keep asking her no matter how many times she rejects you,” “So, what type of gifts do you think I should get for her? A car, house, hotel, private je…”

“What should I buy then?” He looked at her desperately.

“Don’t worry. I will take care of that. You just need to give me money for it,” She smirked at him.

“How much are we talking about here?”

“Let’s say fitty thousand for a start.” She pursed her lips and strained her neck afterwards.

She thought he was going to exclaim why it was that much, but the realization dawned on her that he really meant business when he took out his wallet from his pocket and handed her his black card.

“Buy whatever will be needed. I don’t care even if it costs me fifty million to get her back. Just do something.” He handed her the card, and her face brightened with a smile.

“Awwwn! So sweet! I should get myself a man like you soon. I really need me a Xander in my life,” She cupped her cheeks in her palms and teased him.

“Let me know when you replace a man that’s willing to take you in with your problems. I’m going to pay him monthly for tolerating my problematic sister,” He stood up and grabbed the bottle water.

“Make it snappy,” And with that, he started walking away.

“You didn’t have to be so mean, do you? Are you really my brother?” She yelled after him, but he left and never spared her a glance.

“What an annoying jerk! Wait till I get a man,” She mumbled as she picked up her handbag, ready to leave when the waiter walked up to her.

“Excuse me, Ms. You have not paid for the things you bought. Here is your bill,” She huffed after the waiter handed her a short paper.

“That son of a…” She paused and huffed angrily,

Her phone beeped, and she hesitantly brought it out of her bag.

“Thanks for the water, sis. I didn’t
