"Babe, everything I did, I did out of love for you. I just wanted to be with you, that's all. Can you forgive me this one time? I promise, there won't be a next time!"

Murray's face remained impassive as he slightly curled his lip, observing her desperate attempts to salvage their relationship. His eyes filled with a frosty disdain, "Do you even realize that what you've done is criminal?!" "Don't use loving me as an excuse. You hurt the person who means the most to me. Is that how you show your love? When it comes down to it, you did all this for yourself!"

"We're done. From now on, stay out of my life. I don't want to have anything to do with you."

Millie tried to reach for the hem of his shirt, but Murray narrowed his eyes and coldly warned, "I won't repeat myself. Considering you once saved my life, I'll let you off this time. But don't think you'll always be this lucky." With that, he got into his car without looking back and sped away.

Millie wanted to follow him, but after taking a few steps, she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen.

She was generally in good health and rarely experienced menstrual cramps. Moreover, perhaps due to recent stress, her period had been delayed by over two weeks.

Feeling a damp sensation, and with Murray's car disappearing into the distance, Millie had no choice but to head to the hospital.

After an emergency consultation, the doctor asked her a few questions and then ordered several routine tests.

Half an hour later, holding her test results, Millie was still in shock. "You're saying...I'm pregnant?"

The doctor confirmed, "The HCG test is positive. You're in the early stages of pregnancy. The bleeding isn't severe, so just take good care of yourself."

Millie barely registered the doctor's words, fixated solely on the fact that she was pregnant...

By her calculations, she must have conceived around New Year's.

Clutching the test results, her previously aimless expression turned resolute, as if she had found her direction. Her eyes sparkled with determination. She was pregnant!

Surely, for the sake of their child, Murray wouldn't break up with her?

With this thought, she hurriedly took a cab to the villa.

The fingerprint lock hadn't been changed yet, allowing Millie easy access. With a "beep," the door opened.

Murray was fuming.

To think he was played by a woman!

When those documents had arrived, he suspected Corley was involved, mocking him behind his back. This thought fueled his anger even further.

Hearing the door, he said impatiently, "Sadie, I told you I'm not in the mood for-"

He stopped mid-sentence when he turned to see Millie, a storm quickly brewing in his eyes: "You dare to show up? You really think I wouldn't lay a hand on you?!" Murray stood atop the staircase, looking down on her with undisguised contempt and rejection.

This blatant disdain made Millie instinctively want to shrink back, but...

Feeling the test results in her bag gave her a surge of confidence.

"Babe, I'm pregnant. I just came from the hospital. It's almost two months now. You're going to be a dad-"

"Abort it."

Millie froze in place. "What...did you say?"

Murray, hand in pocket, repeated impatiently, "I said abort it. Did you not hear me?"

He took out a check, tossing it on the floor carelessly. "Here's three million. Take it."

"Our relationship is completely over. From now on, we go our separate ways."
