Love Comes To Me
Chapter 104: Hector Rogers gets drunk

When he arrived at the clubhouse to meet some clients, they had a good conversation over dinner and the client, who was a big drinker, had a lot to drink with Hector Rogers.

Rupert Rogers was also on hand, intentionally or not, to pour wine into Hector Rogers.

The wine at this meal was high proof and after a few drinks, Hector Rogers felt only slightly tipsy and dizzy.

By the time the meal was over, Hector Rogers was basically drunk.

He went to the bathroom and Rupert Rogers went to answer the phone and didn't pay much attention to the booth.

Reeva Lawson paused and followed in the direction of the bathroom.

She waited in the hallway and as soon as Hector Rogers came out of the bathroom, Reeva Lawson walked up and spoke, "Hector, are you okay?" Hector Rogers did not speak.

Reeva Lawson stepped forward to help him, but was avoided.

Her hand faltered, she didn't think Hector Rogers would allow herself to touch him even though he was drunk, did he really hate her that much?

She was disappointed, but Reeva Lawson smiled and said, "Hector, let Rupert take care of the inside. I'll take you home first, or maybe we can just get a private room in the clubhouse for you to rest?"

Reeva Lawson naturally had other ideas, and with Hector Rogers now drunk and the two of them alone, there was a chance that something could happen.

Just then, however, Rupert Rogers came out of the booth.

"Brother, my brother Li has already said hello, let's go, we'll go back first."

At that, Rupert Rogers had stepped forward to help Hector Rogers, who couldn't help but look at Reeva Lawson. It was lucky that he had come quickly, otherwise his brother would have been abducted by this woman. Reeva Lawson walked behind, a glint of resentment in her eyes, but nothing was said.

Leaving the clubhouse, Rupert Rogers helped Hector Rogers into the car before speaking up, "Reeva, I'll take you home first!"

"No, send your brother back first! I'll go there with you, otherwise there'll be no one to look after him later."

At that, Rupert Rogers' face flashed a smile and he spoke, "How come there's no one to take care of it, there must be."

Reeva Lawson looked at Rupert Rogers suspiciously, for a moment thinking that something seemed odd about that statement, but she couldn't put her finger on it.

Rupert Rogers spoke again: "Isn't there a maid in the house? I'm still here! Besides, Reeva, if you don't go home this late, your family will be worried, so come on, let's go, I'll take you home first."

At these words, Reeva Lawson did not say anything more, although she was reluctant to do so.

The wine had a strong aftertaste and by the time we reached the Lawson family, Hector Rogers was asleep in the car.

Reeva Lawson was more than a little upset that Rupert Rogers had ruined her chance to spend time with her tonight, but she said, "Be careful on the road and take care of your brother!" Rupert Rogers nodded, "Don't worry, Reeva."

As he said that, he couldn't help but slander in his heart: it's not your man, so why are you worrying about it?

After the car left the Lawson family, Rupert Rogers drove off in the direction of Eloise Thompson's house with a drunken Hector Rogers in tow.

As his own brother, how could he stand by and watch his brother and sister-in-law develop like this? Otherwise, his brother would become a tyrant again if their relationship went sour in a few days, and it would be his and the Rogers Group's staff who would suffer.

With that in mind, Rupert Rogers sped up his car and helped Hector Rogers up once he arrived at the bottom of Eloise Thompson's building.

At that moment Eloise Thompson had just finished her shower and was looking at the papers she had put together during the day, when suddenly the doorbell was heard ringing sharply.

Eloise Thompson was stunned; who was this in the middle of the night? She got up and went behind the door, looked out through the cat's eye and found no one at all.

Hesitating for a moment to open the door, then the whole person in front of him fell back on himself.

"... Hector Rogers."

Eloise Thompson was startled when the smell of alcohol hit her face and she realised that the man in front of her was drunk.

Looking down the corridor, there was no one else but him, and Eloise Thompson, thinking he had come by himself, spoke up again and called out, "Hector Rogers."

The man continued to ignore her. This was how much he had drunk, so drunk that Eloise Thompson frowned slightly, unable to help but feel a little distressed. She helped the man inside and placed him on the sofa.

Hector Rogers leaned back on the sofa, his eyes closed, quiet as a child at the moment, and Eloise Thompson looked at that handsome face for a couple of seconds in awe.

After some hesitation, she took out her mobile phone and called Rupert Rogers. After all, she had promised Matriarch Godbold and Hector Rogers not to see each other anymore, and Eloise Thompson always felt that it was not a good idea to leave people here.

Once the call was answered, Eloise Thompson spoke up, "Rupert, your brother is drunk and coming to my place, can you come and get him?"

"Yeah? My brother ran off to your place drunk, Miss Eloise, I'm so sorry! I'm busy here and I can't leave! You take care of him!"

"But... can't you just make time to come over? Or replace someone to come over?" Eloise Thompson frowned slightly.

"Miss Eloise, I just can't get through, and I don't have anyone here who can get through, so just look after him! Please, I'm going to go ahead and get busy, bye."

Having said that, Rupert Rogers hung up the phone.

He was the one who sent the person there, so how could he pick them up again.

Rupert Rogers drove, a smile in his eyes, alone, in the same room, with his brother drunk, and no telling what might happen.

Rupert, humming a little tune, was in a happy mood as he drove off to the waves.

...

On Eloise Thompson's side, she was speechless after hanging up the phone, what on earth could be so busy that this Rupert would not even care about his own brother. Eloise Thompson sighed and called Thomas Ward again.

Thomas Ward sniffed and spoke, "Sorry, Miss Eloise, my mother is ill and I have to look after her. Can't get through."

Naturally, Thomas Ward could not have told Eloise Thompson that he had long ago received orders from Rupert not to pick up Hector Rogers, no matter what.

So give her a hundred guts, she wouldn't dare to go over there!

Eloise Thompson was in tears, something was wrong with everything, she sighed, she couldn't just leave someone out there by themselves!

Forget it, it's just a matter of letting him sleep here for the night anyway.

Matriarch Godbold couldn't have blamed himself even if he had known.

Eloise Thompson eventually resigned herself to the fact that she was going to let Hector Rogers sleep on the sofa, but it was so narrow and his long legs were resting on it, making it so cramped that Eloise Thompson couldn't stand the sight of him and had to drag him into the bed in the room.

It took a great deal of effort to help her into the house.

When Hector Rogers went down, she fell back because of inertia and her whole body went down on his chest.

Eloise Thompson caught her breath and she was about to get up when Hector Rogers woke up and the man opened his eyes and looked at Eloise Thompson with sleepy eyes.

Hector Rogers was in a bit of a trance for a while, he vaguely felt like he was dreaming.

The woman in front of her, her face slightly flushed, she seemed to have just taken a bath, her whole body was faintly fragrant, and her peach blossom eyes were currently staring blankly at herself.
