Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1100: Was it an attempt to kill her?
How was her relationship with Bergerian?
Lisa froze for a moment, not knowing how to answer herself.
Bergerian had always been lukewarm towards her, saying that the affection was not good and sometimes being quite nice to her. But to say it was good seemed a bit self-defeating.
Thomas saw her hesitate and smiled confidently, "Madam, if you can't answer, then let me do so, will you?"
"You know?" Lisa looked at her sceptically.
"Of course I know. If I don't even know, who am I to read tarot cards for people."
"That's fine, tell me about it. If it's not right..." Lisa laughed, "I won't let you off the hook."
She said this with a smile, but she could still sense the warning in it.
Thomas smiled unconcernedly and spoke slowly, "You must come from a large family with a history of a hundred years, well ... your husband is kind of high up to be married to you. However, your husband is capable and arrogant, which has led to him always feeling constrained by you and not treating you very well."
At this point, there was a noticeable change in Lisa's delicately made-up face.
Perhaps it was the thought of her own unsavoury relationship with Bergerian that unconsciously showed a hint of resignation.
"But it's not as if that status quo can't get changed." Thomas continued while the iron was hot, "It's mostly up to you to decide if you want to change."
Lisa stared at him intently, her red lips moving slightly, "How?"
"I can help you."
Inside the car, there was silence.
It was a long time before Lisa spoke, "How can you help?"
Thomas looked seriously at the tarot card in his hand before asking seriously, "Madam, has there been a woman in your family recently?"
Lisa stared, "How do you know?"
"Calculated." Thomas said, "She's going to influence you and your husband. Nine times out of ten she will affect your relationship with your husband." Lisa grimaced at that, "Just as I thought."
Thomas raised an eyebrow, "You thought of that already, madam?"
"That woman is a Scandinavian, not too bad looking."
When he heard Lisa say that Eloise was just okay, Thomas muttered in his mind, "If Miss Eloise was just okay, there would be no more beautiful women in this world. But he didn't show it on his face as he asked, "What else?"
"But I always thought she was like a vixen who would seduce my husband." Speaking of this, Lisa gritted her teeth a little.
"Is that so?"
Thomas laughed dryly, if someone had said Miss Eloise was like a vixen, he would have made that person look good on the spot.
But this was a special situation, and he had to put up with it even if he was upset.
"Of course I am. Sir, can you tell me what to do? Is it to get rid of that woman, or what?"
Lisa asked anxiously, she really couldn't stand to have that woman in the Bergerian villa for another minute.
"Sort it out?" Thomas frowned, "What does that mean?"
"Just sort it out."
Thomas got it, "You want to kill her?"
Lisa acquiesced.
"This won't do." Thomas's heart fluttered, he suppressed his impatience, steadied his tone and said, "You can't hurt her life or your relationship as a couple will be worse." Lisa was half convinced, "Really?"
"You should know very well the character of your husband. Of course, if you don't believe me, then forget it, do as you please." Thomas made a move to open the door and get out of the car, but his heart was sweating. "Wait." Lisa pulled him to a halt.
Thomas looked back at her calmly, "Anything else?"
"What do you want to do?" Lisa asked.
Thomas' tense nerves loosened a little.
"Lisa took my word for it, wait for my good news."
Rowson looked at the message Thomas had sent him on the screen and let out a long sigh of relief, unable to stop the corners of his mouth from rising.
It was halfway there now, as long as Thomas found a way to get Eloise away from the villa, they would really have succeeded.
Let's hope Thomas is smart enough not to have any accidents.
...
On this day, Edwina was distracted at work and made a series of mistakes and was scolded by her manager.
"Manager, I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
When the manager saw her apologise incessantly, he felt sorry for her, but his tone was still not good, "If you are not feeling well, take time off, otherwise you will affect other people's work more." "I'm sorry."
Edwina didn't know what to say except "I'm sorry".
The manager waved his hand impatiently, "Okay, okay, no need to apologise anymore. Go and change your clothes and go home."
Go home?
Edwina thought she was going to fire her, and her face turned white with a swish.
Bonnie had to pay for her hobby classes this month and she was waiting for her paycheck to pay for them, now she was fired, how could she get that much pay.
"Manager, I promise I will be careful next time and won't make mistakes again, you don't have to fire me, okay?" Edwina begged as she grabbed the manager's hand. "Fired?" The manager looked bewildered, "Who wants to fire you?"
Edwina was also bewildered, "Manager, no, weren't you the one who told me to go home?"
The manager couldn't help but laugh at this, "Edwina, who said I was firing you if I told you to go home?"
"Isn't it?" Edwina's face lit up with joy.
"Of course not. I'm telling you to go home and rest and come back to work tomorrow."
The manager suddenly felt that his good intentions had been wasted.
Edwina sighed in relief and smiled, but couldn't help the redness in her eyes, "Thank you, manager."
The manager sighed, "There, there, go home."
Edwina gave her a grateful bow before turning towards the changing rooms.
Back at home, Edwina took out her phone and tapped on her communication history, her eyes falling on Edgar's name on the screen.
She was curious to know what was going on with Miss. Eloise now, and whether they had gotten the man out yet.
However, she was afraid that she might disturb someone if she called in haste.
"Mum, what are you doing?"
Bonnie came out of her room and saw Edwina staring at her phone, puzzled, and approached.
Edwina looked back and twisted her head, lifting the corners of her lips, "Finished your homework?"
"Yeah, done." Bonnie sat down next to her, "Mum, what were you thinking about?"
Edwina's hand stroked his head and the smile on her lips slowly faded, "Nothing."
Bonnie was young, but smart enough to see right away that she was lying.
"Mum, are you thinking about Aunt Eloise?" Bonnie asked.
Edwina froze and then responded, smiling and rubbing his head, "I really can't hide anything from you."
"If you're worried, you should just call and ask that Uncle Edgar."
Edwina took him into her arms and sighed, "I wanted to call too, but I was afraid I'd disturb them."
"But you wouldn't know about Aunt Eloise if you didn't call, would you?" Bonnie tilted her little face up to look at her.
Edwina looked down, into his clear eyes, and agreed, "You're right, I'll just be here worrying if I don't call."
"Thank you, Bonnie," Edwina said, rubbing his head and gathering the courage to dial Edgar's number.
Soon the call was answered.
Edgar's low voice came through the receiver, "Hello, who is it?"
