Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1353: Don't Worry, I'm Here

Hearing this, Paulina's heart was surprised, "Mercenaries?"

She had only heard about them, she had not seen them with her own eyes. Had it come to the point where she had to let Earlene use those channels? She, who had been sure it was Earlene, was a little unsure at that moment. "And do you know who ordered them?" asked Paulina.

Eliazar shook his head, "Not that I can replace out. The 'Wolves' only recognize money and will do anything bad as long as they get paid. And the organization they belong to is so secretive that the method by which they received their commission is something that needs to be investigated further."

"How long will it take?" Marcos, who had remained silent, took the floor and asked.

"It's not clear, it may take a while." Eliazar answered truthfully.

Marcos nodded, "Good, inform me as soon as you have any progress."

"Yes." Eliazar bowed his head respectfully.

Paulina frowned thoughtfully, "Marcos, do you think it might be Earlene?"

"You don't think so?" Marcos asked instead of answering.

"Just to get to me, would Earlene have to use mercenaries?"

"She could drug me, let alone something like that."

Marcos didn't waver in his initial suspicion.

"It's true." Paulina nodded approvingly and explained to Eliazar, "By the way, look into Earlene's latest situation."

"Right."

Eliazar turned to leave and, as if thinking of something important, looked back at Marcos and asked, "Grand Prince, what are you going to do, stay in France?"

"No, we are going back to our country."

Eliazar was a little taken aback, "Go back to our country?".

"Well, the country is the safest place for Paulina and me right now." Marcos took Paulina's hand between his own, he would not allow a single more harm to come to her. Eliazar nodded, "Good, then I will have a secret guard escort you back home."

"Secret guards?" Marcos frowned.

Seeing this, Eliazar explained, "They are all people you have trained. They've also been professionally trained, so you and Big Paulina can be sure they'll escort you safely home." Eliazar thought about it and decided, "I will escort you myself."

Knowing he was uneasy and didn't want anything else to go wrong, Paulina said, "It's hard work for you."

"That's all we have to do."

Both Ivor and Eliazar were loyal to Marcos.

"Then I'll book the tickets and you can pack your bags and go home whenever you want." Eliazar said.

"Book for tomorrow." Marcos spoke up, "The other side are mercenaries for hire, the first mission failed, there will surely be a second one soon, France is dangerous now." "Good, I'll book a flight now."

As Eliazar left, Paulina's brow furrowed with worry and she asked, "If we go back, will it affect Alvaro and mom and dad?"

"No." Marcos slipped his arm around her shoulders, "Those people won't dare interfere when we're in the country."

"Good." Paulina rested her head on his shoulder and sighed, "The trip we promised Sweety and Esteban will have to be postponed for now."

"When this is settled, I'll take you and the kids again."

At that, Paulina raised her eyes, her gaze settling on his clear jaw, "Okay, it's a deal."

Mark looked down and looked directly into her crystal clear eyes, his tone full of affection, "Deal."

Paulina opened her arms around his waist and buried her head in his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat as she whispered, "Actually, it's good to have you, wherever you are." "Mmm." Mark reached up and gently stroked her soft hair, a faint smile always tugging at the corners of his lips.

...

Esteban and Sweety froze when they found out they were going back to the camp.

Sweety's face was filled with confusion, "Why are they going back to their country, didn't they say they were going to Y?".

"Because Dad Mom has some business and needs to go back." explained Paulina.

"But people want to go to Y." Sweety pouted, extraordinarily aggrieved.

Paulina gently stroked her little head and said softly, "Let's go back to Spain first, and when things are settled, we'll go straight to Y. Is that okay with you?" Sweety thought seriously before reluctantly nodding, "Okay, but Mom can't lie to me."

Paulina lost her smile, "Don't worry, how could mom lie to you?".

Then she looked at Esteban, "And Esteban?".

Esteban had seen his mom taken away from him that day and knew the schedule change had something to do with it, so he said, "I'll do what mom says." Nothing is more important to him than his mom and dad.

To be as safe as possible, Eliazar booked a flight for the next night.

That night, after Paulina dressed the two children, he took them downstairs.

There was something in the back of his mind that made him fear that something might happen.

Marcos and Eliazar were already waiting downstairs, and as they approached, Marcos asked quietly, "All packed?"

Paulina nodded, "Yes, it's ready."

"Dad, a hug." Sweety let go and spread her legs to look at Marcos.

Marcos leaned down and lifted her up with one hand, taking Paulina with the other.

She turned her head to look at Eliazar, "Come on."

Eliazar nodded and turned to leave.

"Let's go."

Marcos smiled at Paulina and led her out the door.

Eliazar had already arranged the route from the estate to the airport in advance, and once in the car, he spoke to Marcos about his plans.

"Grand Prince, if there is an accident on the way, another car will come quickly to take you and Grand Paulina, and the dark guards and I will take care of everything else."

Paulina was already worried, and now that Eliazar had heard this, her heart soared and her hands unconsciously clasped together.

Marcos extended his hand over hers, in a soft voice, "Don't worry, everything will be fine."

Paulina tilted her head and met his dark inky eyes, and for a moment there was peace in her heart, "Yes."

The two children in the back seat looked out the car window, their eyes shining, both looking a little excited.

Paulina looked back at them and said softly, "Sit down and put your seat belts on, both of you."

Hearing this, Esteban and Sweety immediately sat down.

"Mommy, I think we forgot to buy a present for my brother." muttered Sweety.

The brother she was referring to was Alvaro and Bonita's son.

Paulina thought for a moment, "That's okay, we can buy him when we get to the airport." Sweety laughed, "Yes!".

Paulina let out a soft "hmm" and looked at Marcos with some concern.

Marcos held her hand tightly and said softly, "Don't worry, I'm here."

Paulina curved her mouth, yes, she didn't have to worry or be afraid when he was around.
