Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1358: All for the promise to her

Upon receiving Paulina's call, Almeida and Sener went directly to the former home of La familia Leoz.

"My lord, my lady, the prince, Paulina," they called respectfully, one by one.

Mrs. Gloria laughed, "Don't be so formal in the future, make yourselves comfortable."

"Thank you, ma'am."

Almeida smiled at her before looking at Marcos, "Prince, Sener and I have again developed a new drug much more effective than the previous one." Marcos nodded, saying nothing.

Paulina thought about the side effects of the last medicine and asked with concern, "Will there be side effects this time?"

"Paulina, you can be sure that this time the medicine has been tested many times before we decided to give it to the Prince." Sener explained. "That's good." Paulina breathed a sigh of relief.

If it was still like last time with the side effects, then she would rather Mark continue to lose his memory than try the medicine again. "However, there are still some side effects."

Sener's next comment raised Paulina's heart which had dropped again, "Sener, can you finish your sentence at once?"

"Paulina, don't be nervous, the side effects I mentioned are only dry mouth and drowsiness, the rest of the side effects are non-existent."

"So that's it." Paulina's heart went back as she took Mark's hand between hers and whispered, "It's okay if you don't want to take it, it's okay to leave it as it is."

"No, I want to eat." A small smile tugged at the corners of Marcos' mouth and he looked at her a few moments deeper, "I don't want to keep the status quo, I want to remember everything, especially all the memories of you." "Marcos."

Emotion flooded her heart and Paulina's eyes reddened as she curved her lips into a smile, "Good, then take it, even if you don't get your memories back, just saying so will be enough."

Almeida placed a pill in Marcos' hand and Marcos took it dryly.

Mrs. Gloria breathed a sigh of relief: "Now we just have to wait for the medicine to take effect".

Her son was with her again, but she still wished he would regain his memory.

"How are you feeling?" Paulina looked nervously at Marcos.

Marcos laughed helplessly, "The medicine just took, how can it take effect so fast?"

"How long will it take for the medicine to take effect?" Paulina turned her head to look at Almeida and Sener.

Almeida frowned slightly, "Fast is an hour or two will have a slight reaction, slow could take half a day."

"That long?" Paulina frowned.

"Besides, the medicine has to be taken every day, it can't work all at once." Almeida continued.

"Every day?" Paulina's frown tightened, "How long does it have to be taken for?"

"Take it for a week to see how it works and then take the next step." Sener answered truthfully.

"A week? Wouldn't that be too long?"

After all, there were side effects and Paulina feared that taking too much would take its toll on Marcos' body.

Marcos saw what she was thinking and squeezed her palm, gently reassuring her, "Don't worry, didn't Almeida say there were only side effects of dry mouth and drowsiness, okay?" "But..." Paulina was still unsure.

At that point, Ms. Gloria spoke up, "Paulina, since you want Marcos to regain his memory, calm down and trust Almeida and Sener."

As time passed, about half an hour or so, Marcos began to yawn and his eyelids became thicker and heavier.

Seeing this, Almeida and Sener looked at each other.

It must be a side effect of the medicine.

"Prince, if you are sleepy, go upstairs and rest." Almeida said.

"Marcos, go upstairs to rest." Paulina expressed.

"Okay."

Paulina helped Marcos up the stairs.

Back in his room, Marcos lay down on the bed and fell asleep.

Paulina pulled the covers over him and watched him as he slept, the corners of his mouth curved up and the tenderness in his eyes almost overflowing. But this time Marcos did not sleep soundly.

He had a long, restless sleep.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes.

What he saw was a familiar ceiling, a familiar chandelier.

Paulina opened the door and went inside to see how Marcos had slept.

As soon as she approached, she found him awake and said with concern, "Marcos, are you uncomfortable anywhere?"

Marcos turned his head and a small, clear face peered into his eyes, the corners of his lips slowly curved, "I'm fine."

He sat up, his brow furrowed slightly, "Paulina, I seem to remember something."

"Huh?" Paulina was stunned, then reacted and asked cheerfully, "Remember what?".

Marcos thought carefully about the dream he had had and spoke slowly, "In this room, I was hugging you and telling you 'I love you'."

"Is that true?" Marcos turned his head to look at Paulina.

Paulina smiled, laughing as tears streamed down her face, and nodded emphatically, "Yes."

Receiving a definite yes, Marcos looked relieved, "It looks like this medicine really works."

"And what else do you remember?"

"I remember ..." Marcos frowned and looked thoughtful. "I remember saying that I would never be separated from you again for the rest of my life, and I remember saying that I would love you and want you for the rest of my life, and I remember..."

Paulina covered her mouth, not daring to scream.

She really remembered.

And she remembered all the promises he had made to her.

He told her a lot of things, all about promises to her...

But other than that, she remembered nothing.

Paulina, fearing that he was stressed, whispered reassuringly, "It's wonderful that this medicine has had such an effect after only one day."

Mark laughs, "I'm so glad I remember you. But I want to remember more."

"I know. I'm sure you will remember everything."

Marcos smiled and said nothing more.

Paulina hurried downstairs to tell Mr. Juan and the others the good news.

After hearing it, Mrs. Gloria also became excited, "Really!".

"Mom, of course it's true!" Paulina pursed her lips, "It's just that she only remembers some things about me and not the rest."

Ms. Gloria didn't mind, "It's okay, it's only fair that he remembers you first. Take your time with the rest."

Seeing now the effects of the medicine, they were sure that Mark would fully recover his memory.
