Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1360: I Will Marry You
It wasn't until nightfall when Edwards drove Edwina and Bonnie home.
The car was parked outside the villa and Bonnie was the first to open the door and jump out of the car.
Edwina unbuckled her seat belt as she thanked him, "Bonnie had a great time today, thank you."
"You're welcome." Edwards smiled back.
"Take care of yourself on the way back."
Edwina reached for the door to get out of the car.
"Edwina," Edwards said, grabbing her hand hurriedly.
Edwina's eyes lowered, her gaze settled on his grip on her hand, and her brow furrowed slightly.
Edwards followed her gaze and realized he had been abrupt, releasing her hand and tugging his lips awkwardly. "I was going to say you wouldn't invite me in for a moment." Edwina laughed softly, "If you have time, of course."
She pretended not to see what he was thinking.
"I was just kidding."
That said, Edwards sighed inwardly; she did excite him a little, but he was also aware that the person he loved was Edgar, so he didn't dare cross the line easily.
"Then I'll go home first." Edwina smiled, pushed the car door open and got out, guiding Bonnie toward the front door of the house.
Edwards watched her and Bonnie go into the house before starting the car and getting out.
And then, a car that had been parked a short distance away pulled up to the front of the cottage.
Edgar got out of the car and looked at the illuminated cottage, his hands clenched and unclenched at his sides as he approached it. The doorbell rang suddenly.
Edwina, who had already gone upstairs, turned and ran down the stairs, walking quickly toward the entrance.
She thought it was Edwards, who had forgotten to say something.
But as soon as she opened the door, her whole body froze.
How could he be here?
Edgar reached out a long hand and took her in his arms, squeezing them as if he wanted to embed her inside himself.
The familiar scent enveloped her, and her nose twitched, her eyes misted over.
Edwina raised her hands to cling to the broad spine of his back and slowly closed her eyes.
"Do you know how much I've missed you?"
A deep voice with a husky edge rang in her ears.
Edwina's heart ached so much and she bit her lip to keep from crying.
She missed him too.
Edgar let go of her and grabbed her shoulders with his hands, looking down at her.
Her eyes were downcast and tears were falling, but she dared not look at him.
"Edwina, you're so hard-hearted."
Edgar laughed, with a smile full of bitterness. "By walking away without saying a word and hiding, are you really determined to leave me?"
Edwina's heart felt like a cotton ball, so uncomfortable that she couldn't speak at all.
Seeing her crying, Edgar didn't want to accuse her, so he reached up and gently wiped her tears with his fingers.
Infinite helplessness, mixed with a large dose of affection.
Edwina's heart hardened even more and she raised her eyes to look at him, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry...".
She didn't know what to say, except that she was sorry.
Edgar looked at her silently for a moment before speaking slowly, "I'm hungry."
At this, Edwina burst into tears, raised her hand to wipe her tears and said, "I'll go cook noodles for you."
With that, she turned around and headed for the kitchen.
Suddenly, her wrist tensed and she turned her head in surprise, and before she could see Edgar's face, her mouth closed.
As soon as Edgar touched her lips, thoughts of the past few days came flooding back, and she couldn't help but deepen the kiss as he wrapped one arm around her waist and grabbed the back of her neck with the other. Edwina wrapped her arms around his neck and closed her eyes, taking in his stormy attack.
Just as she was about to choke, he pulled away, lowering his eyes to her red lips, darkening slightly.
Grunting...
Just then, an unexpected sound ruined the enchantment.
"Pfft!"
Edwina couldn't help but giggle as she stood on her tiptoes and rubbed his hair, whispering, "I'm going to make you some noodles."
Watching her head for the kitchen, Edgar's lips couldn't help but curl up at the corners, a softness in his eyes.
It felt good to have her by his side again.
...
When Bonnie came downstairs after showering and changing, she froze for a moment when she saw Edgar sitting in the living room, then reacted and ran to him with joy. "Uncle Edgar!" she shouted excitedly as she ran to Edgar.
Edgar smiled, put his hand to his head and asked her, "Did you miss your uncle?".
Bonnie nodded vigorously, "Yes! All the time."
She turned her head in the direction of the kitchen, leaned toward Edgar's ear and whispered, "I tried to get in touch with you quietly, but my mother hid all the phones from me, so With both hands, he had a helpless expression on his face.
Edgar lost his smile, "It's okay, uncle still found you guys."
"Uncle, did you miss us?" Bonnie sat down next to him.
Edgar slipped his arm around her shoulders and nodded, "Yeah, of course I did."
"My mother misses you guys too." Bonnie said, "Even though she won't let me contact you, she sits alone and stares at you a lot and I know she must be thinking about you." "Man-child." Edgar flexed his fingers and lightly tapped the side of her head.
Bonnie hesitated and asked again, somewhat seriously, "Dude, are you and Mom going to be separated again?"
"Of course not." blurted out Edgar.
He would never allow Edwina to leave again.
"Then you'll marry Mom?" asked Bonnie again.
Edgar nodded, "Yes, definitely to your mother."
Bonnie's face instantly lit up with a big smile at the positive answer, "Then I'll have a daddy!".
Seeing how happy she was, Edgar couldn't help but deepen the smile on his face, "Then I'll have a son too."
After saying that, they both looked at each other and smiled, the atmosphere was very warm.
Edwina walked over and seeing how happy they were laughing, she couldn't help but ask curiously, "What are you talking about that he's so happy?" "Mom, Uncle says he's definitely going to marry you." Bonnie said with a look of impatience.
Marrying?
Edwina looked slightly stiff, but quickly reacted and changed the subject, saying, "Noodles are ready, come eat."
"Good." Bonnie was so engrossed in eating that she didn't notice anything was wrong and got up to run gleefully into the dining room.
As soon as she ran out, there was immediate silence throughout the place.
Edgar stood up and approached Edwina, his eyes looking deep into hers, "I mean it, I'll marry you."
