Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1376: Back to power.

Paulina knew that no matter what time it was, she was the most important in Mark's heart.

Even if he was too busy with work in the future to spend much time with her, she didn't feel bad about it.

That night, Paulina was lucky enough to see a meteor shower.

She clasped her hands together and made a wish on the meteor shower.

Mark looked out of the corner of his eye and saw her eyes closed with devotion, her eyes so soft they looked like they would drip water.

Perhaps sensing his gaze, Paulina opened her eyes and turned her head.

All four eyes met.

She slowly lifted the corners of her lips.

Her eyes sparkled especially in the night, like a meteor shower.

Mark felt his whole heart melt into a puddle at that moment.

"Do you know what I just wished for?" asked Paulina.

Marcos shook his head softly.

"My wish was ..." Paulina looked up at the sky, "to hold my son's hand and grow old with him."

Her heart instantly rose to its highest pitch.

Mark's gaze fixed on her light-sided face, thin lips parted slightly, "Paulina."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Paulina's eyes suddenly darkened, and a pair of warm lips rested on his.

Mark left her lips and reached up to caress her cheek, looking into her eyes, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, "Your wish will come true." And with that, he kissed her lips again.

Raising her arms around his neck, Paulina closed her eyes, clearly feeling every trace of his scent, slowly indulging in it.

...

The next day, Marcos woke up early.

Paulina was still sleeping.

He gazed tenderly at her peaceful sleeping face and his heart fluttered as he leaned over and kissed her softly on the lips before turning to leave the room.

Mrs. Gloria woke up even earlier, happy and worried because Marcos was back in charge after so long, and she had not slept well all night.

Mrs. Gloria came out of the dining room just as Mark was coming down the stairs and, seeing him, frowned, "Why don't you get some sleep?"

"I couldn't sleep."

"Worried about company?" asked Mrs. Gloria with concern.

"No, used to getting up early."

Not that Marcos was worried about the company, but he had lost his memory and had no recollection of the Leoz Group at all.

He worried that it was so unfamiliar to him that he didn't know where to start.

Not knowing if she had read his mind, Ms. Gloria reassured him, "You've always been good at everything you've done since you were little, so it will be the same with this." Meeting his mother's encouraging eyes, Mark inexplicably had the illusion of still being a child, and his whole heart softened.

"Thank you, Mom."

"You don't need to be so polite to me." Mrs. Gloria gave him a sour look, "Breakfast is ready, come eat."

...

Paulina stirred in a daze and subconsciously touched her hand to the person next to her.

She was surprised to see that it was empty.

She instantly woke up and sat up from the bed with a shake.

Looking at the empty bed next to him, it took him a while to remember that Mark had to go to the office today.

She looked at the alarm clock on the bedside table and realized it was almost nine o'clock, so she pulled the covers off the bed, put on her slippers and hurried outside. Once downstairs, he saw only Ms. Gloria, not Marcos.

"Paulina, you're awake." Mrs. Gloria looked at her with a smile.

"Mom, where's Marcos?" Paulina asked as she looked around and opened her mouth.

"He went to the office."

Paulina patted her head in disgust, she was so deep in sleep that she didn't even know Marcos had gotten up.

Seeing this, Ms. Gloria smiled and joked, "You didn't think Marcos was lost, did you?"

"No, I was just sleeping so soundly that I didn't even know Marcos was awake." Paulina smiled shyly.

"That's good. Now that Earlene has been caught, you don't have to worry anymore."

Ms. Gloria was right, now that Earlene was no longer around to mess things up, she and Marcos could finally have a quiet life.

Although Marcos hadn't quite recovered his memory, she was sure that with Almeida and Sener around, it was only a matter of time before he did.

...

The shareholders knew in advance that Marcos was taking over the Leoz Group again and held a special meeting in the morning.

All the shareholders were strangers to Marcos.

However, as soon as he entered the meeting room, a sense of familiarity hit him, as if he was reminded that he had been here countless times before.

The shareholders were delighted to have him back at the helm and expected him to take the Leoz Group to new heights.

"Marcos, you're finally back."

"Yes, Marcos, where have you been all this time, why did it take you so long to hear anything?"

"These days..."

The shareholder talked about what had happened during his absence.

Marcos listened quietly and did not interrupt them.

He also wanted to learn something about the company from them so he could handle his job better later on.

It was Alvaro who didn't want to listen any longer and couldn't help but say, "Are these guys upset with me?" "No, no, no, no, we don't mean that, we're just ..."

Alvaro let out a laugh, "Some guys, of course I know you didn't mean it, I was just joking with you."

Several of the shareholders couldn't help but laugh as well.

"Now that my brother is back, I can rest for a while, I haven't had a vacation in a while".

Just thinking about it made Alvaro want to cry.

It had been agreed that as soon as Bonita gave birth, he would take a few long months of vacation.

Plans never come true.

His son was several months old and he hadn't even had a day off, let alone a long vacation.

"Brother, this time you have to agree to let me take a vacation." Alvaro turned his head to look at Marcos with a hint of pleading in his eyes.

Marcos looked askance at him and spoke in a light voice, "We'll see."

"Brother!" lamented Alvaro.

The vacation he had been thinking about!

"You should know my situation."

Not wanting the other shareholders to know about his memory loss, Marcos subtly mentioned it.

Alvaro caught on in an instant and sketched sarcastically, "Right."

He was going to take a sabbatical anyway, once his brother was up and running.

After the meeting, Alvaro took Marcos to the president's office.

"Brother, I've had everything clean every day, where things are, how you put them and how you still put them."

Marcos looked around the clean and sharp office with his eyes, the corners of his lips curved apparently, the decoration was very much in keeping with his own personality.
