Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1383: Because You Look Good

Mark walked out of the office and caught a glimpse of Paulina sitting at her desk, reading papers intently. She was looking so intently that she didn't even realize he had walked in.

Until-

Knock, knock!

Mark flexed his fingers and tapped the desk.

Paulina looked up and saw that it was him, a bright smile slowly bloomed on her face.

"What brings you here, are you finished?"

Mark reached up and tapped his fingertips on his wristwatch, "It's noon."

"Is it?" Paulina immediately looked at the time on the bottom right of her computer.

Twenty minutes past twelve.

It really was noon.

She laughed helplessly, "It's been so long since I've been so serious that I forgot to look at the time." "Let's go eat." Marcos said.

"Sure."

Paulina stood up, grabbed a bag from the side and put it on her back.

Seeing this, Marcos laughed, "Eat in the company canteen, you don't need to carry the bag."

"Ah."

Paulina obediently set her bag on the floor and walked over to him.

Marcos took her by the hand and walked out.

On the way, he encountered several employees who stopped and respectfully shouted, "Hello, President, Madam President."

Marcos' handsome face remained unperturbed as he continued walking without looking.

Paulina, for her part, smiled and nodded her head.

Once they reached the cafeteria, what had been a bit noisy was instantly silent.

Everyone looked that way.

Being the center of attention all of a sudden, Paulina felt a little uncomfortable and unconsciously squeezed Mark's hand tighter.

She was very afraid that everyone would stand up and shout "President" and "Madam President" in unison.

Fortunately, they didn't.

They all quickly withdrew their gaze and lowered their heads to eat silently from their plates.

Paulina breathed a long sigh of relief.

Marcos led her to the ordering area, "Choose what you want to eat."

Paulina looked at the menu and saw that there was rice and noodles, and even Japanese food.

She ordered the eel and rice.

"What do you want to eat?" asked Paulina, turning her head.

"The same as you."

So they looked for a seat with the same eel rice.

As soon as they sat down, Paulina clearly heard the clerk in the seat behind her say, "The president and his wife are too much love, not to mention intertwining their fingers and ordering the same rice." "Yes, it's really too much love. I'm very envious."

Although they had tried to keep their voices low, Paulina had heard every word and looked across the table at Mark.

He must have heard it too.

Hearing the employees talking about themselves, she wondered how he would feel.

Paulina couldn't help but be curious, lowered her head and took a small bite of her food, her eyes rolled up and she asked, "Do you dislike it when the staff talks about you?" Mark's eyelids lifted and his cold gaze settled on her curious little face, the corners of his lips slowly quirked into a smile, "What they say is true, so I don't hate it."

"What kind of person thinks he's funny?". Paulina glared at him.

Marcos smiled and said nothing.

After lunch and back to the office, Paulina took a break and went back to work.

It was amazing to see her take her work so seriously, and Marcos was a little puzzled.

She wanted her mind to be on herself.

Mark was startled by this thought and couldn't help but laugh at the realization that he was being jealous like a schoolboy.

He turned around and went back to his office.

As the door to the president's office closed, Paulina looked up, her eyes resting on the door through the glass, the corners of her lips slowly lifting.

It felt so good to have two people working together.

...

At the end of the night, Marcos asked the driver to go back first and took Paulina to the mountains.

Paulina looked out the window at the flashing scenery, turned her head, looked at Marcos who was concentrating on driving and asked in wonder, "Where are we going?" Marcos looked at the road ahead of the car and replied, "We'll see when we get there."

Paulina raised her eyebrows and asked no more questions.

After about ten minutes, the car stopped in front of a private restaurant.

"So you're taking me here for dinner." Paulina was finally aware of his intentions.

He hadn't explicitly said so, so I guess he wanted to surprise her.

Paulina got out of the car and looked toward the restaurant.

Even though it was dark and it was halfway there, there weren't many tables, but they were almost full.

"Come in."

Marcos took her hand and walked in.

"Welcome, may I ask if you have a reservation?" The waiter greeted them cordially.

"Yes." Marcos gave the number of their appointment.

"This way, please."

The waiter led them to a private room.

Once inside, Paulina let out a small sigh of surprise and walked over to the window, taking in the night view of most of J-Town.

"It's beautiful!" She couldn't help but exclaim.

Mark walked over to her and looked sideways at her delighted face, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Do you like it?" he asked softly.

Paulina turned her head and looked into his deep, dark eyes.

A sharp shiver ran through her heart.

She hastily averted her eyes and nodded, "Yes, very much."

The two remained standing side by side in front of the window, looking out into the night, and only after a long while did Paulina ask, "How do you know about this restaurant?" "It was recommended to me by Alvaro."

When Alvaro recommended it, she kept saying that the restaurant was great and that her sister-in-law would love it.

Now it seemed he was right.

"With such a nice view of the night, I'm sure I could eat more tonight." Paulina arched her eyebrows with a smile. Marcos smiled warmly, "Then eat more."

After dinner, Paulina thought she was going home.

As soon as she left the restaurant, she headed for the car.

"Wait." Marcos stopped her.

"What's wrong?" She turned around and looked at him blankly.

"We're going to the top of the hill to see the stars."

With that, and without waiting for Paulina to react, Marcos pulled her toward the top of the hill.

The restaurant was in the middle of the hill, some distance from the top.

They walked slowly, hand in hand, like the other couples on the road.

It took them half an hour to reach the top of the hill.

A light, cool evening breeze brushed against them, Paulina closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, "The air is so nice here."

Then she opened her eyes, looked up at the star-studded sky and smiled, "So many stars, it's beautiful."

Mark looked down at her, only to see the light falling into her eyes, breaking into bits of starlight, as bright and beautiful as the stars.

Noticing his gaze, Paulina withdrew it and looked up at him, "Why aren't you looking at the stars, why are you looking at me?" "Because you're pretty."

Paulina froze at the sudden words of love, then reacted and her face warmed, "Who taught you to say that?"

"Is it necessary for someone to teach you that?" asked Marcos instead of answering.

Paulina laughed dryly, "No."

Marcos took her in his arms and whispered in her ear, "You look better than any star in my eyes."

She felt like her heart was drenched in honey and her whole heart was sweet.

Paulina leaned quietly in his arms, the corners of her mouth always turned up.

Suddenly, she leaned back and her fine eyebrows furrowed.

It was that feeling of being watched closely again.

It was the same as the last time at the mall.
