Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1386: Finding an opportunity to make a move.

"Rubbish!"

Winston was furious that his men had failed once again, and with a grand gesture of his hand, all the items on the table were swept to the floor.

The two men in front of the table, their bodies trembling, lowered their heads in fright.

"You've been through several times already, and you guys can't even handle a woman! What is this but a waste?" Winston's chest was rising and falling violently in rage, a haze enveloped his face, which was still very attractive. "Prince, the other side is close to discovering who we are, and if we don't stop, I fear we will involve you." One of the men took the floor to explain.

"And making excuses!" scolded Winston in a stern voice.

The men immediately shut their mouths, not daring to say anything more.

Winston took a deep breath, suppressing the anger rising in his heart, and said, "I do not deny that Mark is a very cautious and careful man, but there are always times when he gets careless."

"Prince, the other side has sent people to investigate us secretly, it is really difficult for us to make a move." The other man said.

"It is difficult but we have to replace a way." Winston narrowed his eyes, a sneer curving the corners of his mouth, "Is Marcos going to be able to watch Paulina twenty-four hours a day?"

He turned his head and his grim gaze settled on the two men, "Find a way to leave Paulina alone while you replace an opportunity to strike."

The two men looked at each other, lowered their heads and replied at the same time, "Yes."

Winston's eyes were grim, he didn't think they couldn't handle a woman with no hands.

...

"Earlene, someone wants to see you."

Earlene's long shadowed face instantly brightened as the prison guard approached to inform her.

There must be good news!

Her feet unconsciously lightened a little.

As soon as she saw Winston, the corners of Earlene's mouth lifted involuntarily.

Otherwise, she would not have come to see her so soon.

So she walked up to him and asked, "Is it all done?"

Winston looked at the jailer and gently shook his head, "No."

Hearing the "no", Earlene's face instantly sank, "What do you mean, it didn't work out?"

"It's a little complicated, I'm still trying to figure it out."

"Nonsense!" Earlene's anger went to her head and her face grimaced, "Winston, I'm very disappointed in you!"

Winston frowned, a little uncomfortable at her words.

But he coaxed her gently, "Earlene, since I gave you my word, it will be done."

Earlene grimaced, "How long is that - a day, a month, or a year?"

"I will do it as soon as I can."

Not wanting to waste any more time on this matter, Winston turned the conversation around and said, "I came to see you this time because your brother asked me to bring you something to eat."

With that, he lifted an insulated food box from the side and placed it on the table, opening it to pull out a bowl of chicken soup.

Earlene stared at the steaming chicken soup and let out a laugh, "Are you out of your mind Rawlins, does he think I'm here on vacation?"

"He said eat, drink and sleep well and don't worry about anything."

As if she had heard a joke, Earlene burst out laughing, with a smile full of mockery, "Really Rawlins is crazy! He'd be better off figuring out how to get me out of here. I'm not even going to be able to eat, drink and sleep well in this press." At that, Earlene averted her gaze, "I don't want to eat and I won't."

"Earlene, don't be willful. If you don't eat, drink and sleep right, what if your body breaks down? Wouldn't that prey on some people's minds?" advised Winston.

He thought she would understand the meaning of his words.

Earlene certainly did, and her face hardened instantly.

He was right, if her own body collapsed, then Pauline would be pleased with herself.

Winston knew his words were having an effect and continued, "And it's not often you get to eat and drink there, so don't let your brother down."

Earlene stared at him, frowning, wondering if it was just her, why did she feel he was saying something?

All she could see was Winston staring at her with a calm expression.

Earlene narrowed her eyes slightly.

No.

It wasn't an illusion.

It was that he was actually hinting at something..

Had he and Rawlins figured out a way to get her out?

He bit his lip, "Yes, I know."

Winston curved his mouth slowly, she seemed to be getting his point.

...

Paulina found herself these days going back and forth to work, mostly with Mark.

Even moving her desk into his office at work.

Even though she knew he loved her, this was too clingy for her.

It wasn't like him at all.

That day, Paulina finished the last of her work and raised her arms to stretch, her eyes involuntarily glanced at Marcos, who was flipping through documents.

She bit her lower lip and hesitated before timidly asking, "Marcos, is anything the matter lately?"

At the sound of her voice, Marcos looked up, "No."

"If not, why haven't you wanted me to leave your side for the past few days?".

He simply liked to cling to her.

Mark reflected for a moment, "I just feel like I didn't get to spend quality time with you during the time I lost my memory. Now that we're together every day, we don't want to be apart anymore."

A small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth and he looked at her with an increasingly kindly gaze. "That would be love to the bone, otherwise I wouldn't still love you after losing my memory." Paulina froze.

He was talking about love again.

She reacted, her face reddened and she lowered her eyes in embarrassment, "Why are you talking about this... for no reason?"

Suddenly, something occurred to her and she looked at him, "Have you regained your memory?".

Marcos shook his head, "No, I keep forgetting a lot of things."

Catching the flicker of disappointment in her eyes, he said softly, "I'll try to remember everything about us."

"Okay." Paulina shook her head, the corners of her mouth curling up as she said, "As long as you're well and healthy enough to be with me."

Mark's gaze riveted on her clear little face and something surged in his heart.

He stood up and walked over to her, resting one hand on the edge of the table and the other on her back, looking down at her.

Paulina tilted her head and met his gaze.

The color in her eyes grew and Mark couldn't help but kiss her slightly parted red lips.

Paulina slowly closed her eyes, clearly feeling his tenderness.

A sudden squeeze around her waist wrapped her in his arms.

The attack became fierce, and he swept his lips inside her with reckless abandon, leaving no corner untouched.

Mark felt a searing heat rise from the small of his back.

Seeing that he was about to lose control, he hurriedly left her lips and lightly rested his forehead on hers, looking into her undulating eyes. "Paulina ...," he said, his voice with a hint of suppressed huskiness.

"Mmm."

"Are you okay?" he asked.

Paulina reacted to what he was asking and her cheeks flushed almost to the point of dripping blood, "Marcos, we're married ..." Mid-sentence, Marcos laughed, he had asked that question because he was afraid she would be bothered by his memory loss. Before the words were out of his mouth, the sky suddenly turned.

Paulina was grabbed by the waist and marched into the living room.

Paulina thought about what she had just said and buried her face in her arms, embarrassed.
