Love Comes To Me
Chapter 142: Or else sleep in your room

Once back in the room, it took Eloise Thompson a while to settle down.

As she searched for the covers, she wondered what was wrong with Hector Rogers today. Why was he in a bad mood?

Company going bankrupt? Had a fight with the family? But after thinking about it for a long time Eloise Thompson couldn't figure it out. She was a bit upset that Hector Rogers was sleeping on the couch, but there was only one room, so if he didn't sleep on the couch, the two of them would sleep together?

Eloise Thompson's mind involuntarily went back to the scene in the film she had just seen, and she hurriedly put aside the thoughts in her head and went out to Hector Rogers with the quilt in her arms.

The film had finished on the TV screen and Hector Rogers answered "Thank you" as he took the quilt.

"Are you really going to sleep here tonight?" Eloise Thompson asked, somewhat questioningly.

"Or sleep in your room?"

Hector Rogers smiled and looked at Eloise Thompson.

At that, Eloise Thompson's eyes flashed with panic and she fled to her room in a hurry.

After a shower, Eloise Thompson thought about Hector Rogers outside the door but didn't dare go out to look, and fell asleep in bed.

It was a beautiful and peaceful night.

...

Early the next morning, Hector Rogers had to rush to the office, so he left early after buying breakfast and leaving it at home.

Eloise Thompson woke up and looked at the breakfast and the note on the table, her look unconsciously tender, after which Eloise Thompson's gaze dwindled.

Hector Rogers is so good to her, but they can't even be together, they'll split up sooner or later ...

After breakfast, Eloise Thompson didn't think much more of it and headed off to the office.

...

As the night had gone so badly that she hadn't been able to meet Paige Coldwell at the party, Eloise Thompson went to the office to ask when she could arrange to see her again. "Manager Layla! It's my fault that a good opportunity has gone down the drain."

Eloise Thompson couldn't help but be a little worried about what would happen if Paige Coldwell didn't agree to meet.

Layla Davidson shook Eloise Thompson's hand and spoke, "Well, don't apologise, don't take it personally, you're not to blame for what happened the other night."

Although she doesn't know exactly what happened in it, Layla Davidson didn't expect that Eloise Thompson's family was having such a hard time, and the little girl was quite heartbreaking. "But Paige Coldwell that ..."

"I spoke to Paige Coldwell that night and the other party seems to have some interest in working with us, so we've arranged to meet again this afternoon at 3pm at the Shanghainese Tea House.

At the news, Eloise Thompson beamed with joy, not expecting Paige Coldwell to agree to meet with them.

"Thank you Manager Layla, I'll make sure I do a good job."

Layla Davidson smiled and said, "Well go for it, go for it, I believe in you."

Eloise Thompson nodded and then left to get ready for her afternoon meeting with Paige Coldwell.

...

By three o'clock in the afternoon Eloise Thompson arrived at the tea house and managed to meet Paige Coldwell.

The man was dressed in a black suit and looked to be in his mid-thirties. He was handsome and his whole body revealed an air of gentleness and elegance.

"Mr Paige, hello, I'm Eloise Thompson, a planner at JS Creative Company," Eloise Thompson greeted as she extended her hand and spoke graciously. "Hello."

Paige Coldwell politely shook hands with Eloise Thompson and then both took their seats.

Eloise Thompson spent the afternoon getting to know Paige Coldwell, who is only in his thirties but is said to love tea and is interested in and knowledgeable about the tea ceremony. After introducing herself, Eloise Thompson handed Paige Coldwell what she had prepared for the afternoon.

"I've heard that Mr Paige loves tea, so I've prepared one,"

Paige Coldwell took the tea with interest and looked at it before asking, "Miss Eloise has studied the tea ceremony too?"

"No, I just heard that Mr Paige likes it, so I did some research before coming here. This tea ceremony is so vast and profound that I didn't fully understand it for a while."

Eloise Thompson was a half-wit who knew that Paige Coldwell liked tea so she looked it up and tried to pretend to know a lot about it so that she could have more to talk about with Paige Coldwell, who would probably think better of her. But not knowing is not knowing, and it would be even more humiliating to be caught out if you pretended to know, so Eloise Thompson finally pitched in and sent over a cup of tea.

Paige Coldwell smiled, "Miss Eloise is quite real, though."

Eloise Thompson smiled along as she glanced at Paige Coldwell and wondered how impressed he was with her. Would he agree to work with JS Creative Company?

But then Paige Coldwell seemed to be deliberately dragging her feet, not talking about business, and kept talking about the tea ceremony.

"Miss Eloise, this tea drinking is not only nurturing, it also helps to cultivate the mind and remove distractions." Paige Coldwell continued to speak as she brewed her tea, "There are also many ways to taste tea, and tea leaves, and there is a lot to be said for when you drink it."

Eloise Thompson was not bored but interested and asked a lot of questions about the tea ceremony.

Eloise Thompson couldn't resist trying to learn how Paige Coldwell made her tea, especially when she saw how complicated and varied the techniques were.

Eloise Thompson couldn't help but have a flash of embarrassment in her eyes, "Sorry to make Mr Paige laugh."

Paige Coldwell smiled and spoke from the heart, "Miss Eloise's first time making tea and that's good enough."

At these words, Eloise Thompson's mouth curled slightly as she resumed her seat.

"I didn't realise there was so much more to the tea ceremony, so I got to see it with Mr Paige today."

Paige Coldwell also took her seat before speaking up and asking, "Doesn't Miss Eloise get bored?"

"No! What makes Mr Paige think that?"

Paige Coldwell smiled, being in his thirties at any rate, and he could see that Eloise Thompson was genuinely quite interested.

"I met with two other companies before meeting with you, both of whom, like you, had investigated my preferences before coming, and one, who knew nothing about this aspect of tea but pretended to, couldn't even tell me the few simple things I asked her about this aspect of tea, and told me before coming that she loved it too."

At that, Eloise Thompson couldn't help but be a little glad that she didn't pretend to understand, or she would have been embarrassed.

Paige Coldwell continued, "I was offered a nice tea from another company, but they were impatient to hear me talk about it, and at the end of the day they said that I was fooling them and that I was wasting my time when I didn't even want to work with them, but that's the first time I've seen someone as real and patient as Miss Eloise. It's the first time I've seen someone as real and patient as Miss Eloise."

Paige Coldwell is telling the truth, outside of this aspect of collaboration, the most important thing to focus on is of course the character of the person, apart from whether the planning is good.

If there is no sincerity or patience with partners, then what is the point of talking.
