Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1450: Steadfastness on the Road

Linda's face was cold and she made no sound.

Seeing this, Chris raised his eyebrows and speculated, "There must be nothing else that could make you so angry, other than something to do with Mark." Linda took a deep breath, "Yes, I saw Paulina today."

"¿Y?" Chris didn't understand why there was anything to be angry about seeing Paulina.

"I ..." Linda opened her mouth, but didn't know where to start, except to say angrily, "Anyway, when I see how happy she is now, it makes me feel bad and angry inside. That was supposed to be my happiness." Hearing this, Chris immediately cooled down, "Are you saying you're not happy now?"

"I, of course I didn't mean that." Linda tried to explain herself, but finally gave up, "Forget it, no matter how much I say, you won't understand how I feel."

Chris looked at her for a moment and sighed, helplessly, "Linda, if I didn't understand how you feel, I wouldn't have helped you with your revenge."

"Is that so?" Linda hooked her lips coolly, "Then why did you just interrogate me about those kinds of questions?"

"I was just jealous."

Chris tightened his arm around her shoulders and continued, "I thought you thought the only way to be happy was with Mark."

Linda pursed her lips, her face still not relaxing.

"Well, it's my fault, I shouldn't have asked a question like that." Chris patiently cajoled her.

Linda turned her head towards him, "I'll forgive you if you help me with Paulina."

Chris lost his laughter, "Haven't I been helping you?".

"Not good enough." Linda gritted her teeth: "As happy as Paulina is now, I want her to be as miserable as possible."

Chris nodded, "Okay, whatever you say."

"So, when are you going to make your move?" asked Linda.

Chris released her and pondered for a moment, "I've been so busy with the Leoz Group lately that I've been neglecting Paulina." "Neglecting?" Linda scoffed, "It's okay, let her have a few more days of pain."

"Because of what happened earlier, Marcos has Paulina and the two children well protected, it may be hard for us to do anything about it." Linda was furious to hear that, "I don't care, I'm going to make Paulina suffer for the rest of her life!".

Just the thought of Paulina and the children cuddling made her body hard.

He couldn't wait to see Paulina suffer.

"Actually, there's something I haven't told you." said Chris.

Linda frowned, "What is it?".

"I recently found out that there are other people who are secretly targeting Paulina."

"Who?"

"The identity of the other person is unclear at the moment."

"Hahahahaha..." Linda suddenly burst out laughing, "Finally someone who shares my point of view and can't let that bitch Paulina get away with it." "We don't know who the other person is, but we could use some of that." A grim smile curved the corners of Chris's mouth.

"Could be." Linda smiled coldly, "Marcos will have a headache in his next life over a woman, I think."

"Is he still angry?" asked Chris.

Linda shook her head, "I'm not angry anymore. I feel slightly better just thinking that there are people in the world who intend to do the same thing I do." More importantly, Paulina wasn't going to have a good time in the future.

...

From the end of the dinner that day, the JR Group never offered the Leoz Group a partnership, so quietly that it seems it was never mentioned. "Brother, what exactly does that Blythe mean?"

The calm of the last few days had left Alvaro with a vague uneasiness in his heart.

If it was true, as Eliazar was saying, that JR really did have malicious competitive intentions, then, perhaps, the current calm was hiding something big. "What do you mean, does it matter?" Marcos' eyelids lifted and his cold gaze shifted to him.

As far as Marcos was concerned, JR and Blythe were completely unimportant.

The most important thing right now was finishing the project at hand.

"Of course it's important." Alvaro looked at his brother, still so calm, and couldn't help but feel anxious. "People, Eliazar, have said that JR, like some of those foreign companies, is trying to use the high concessions of the project to eat other companies. And we, the Leoz Group, are their first target."

Marcos scoffed, "You can't eat the Leoz Group."

In the country, the order of the domestic market had to be abided by, and once JR tried to disrupt it, he would only get what he deserved.

"I know he can't eat it. But the other side is coming on strong and we have to have a way to deal with it."

Planning ahead is the only way to win.

Marcos was silent for a few seconds before speaking slowly and asking, "Do you want to know how to deal with him?"

Alvaro nodded furiously, "Yes."

The corners of Marcos' mouth curved up seemingly, "That would be doing well with the two projects we have now. Especially the AI project, it's the one the country is most interested in right now."

"I thought it was a good idea." Alvaro muttered disappointed.

"Alvaro, don't rush everything. We can't rush even more when we haven't figured out what the other side intends, we have to play it safe, you know?"

At these words, Alvaro had to admit that he had indeed been a bit impatient.

"Brother, I know."

Marcos smiled, "Then go back to the office and work in peace."

"Okay, Mr. Marcos."

With a smile, Alvaro obediently turned and walked out.

Once outside, Marcos' expression sank and a cold layer of ice covered his eyes.

It seemed he needed to replace out JR's intentions as soon as possible so he could devise a plan to deal with them.

...

When Rawlins learned that JR had not contacted the Leoz Group about working together again, he felt his chance had come.

That day, he approached the JR Group himself.

This time, he had to convince Blythe to work with the Bartram Group.

Blythe was surprised to learn that Rawlins was coming to JR and stood up, "What are you doing here?"

Winston asked instead of answering, "Don't you want to see him?".

"Of course I don't want to meet." Blythe replied dryly, "I told you a long time ago that I didn't want to meet with him alone!".

"Have you forgotten what I said?" Winston seemed calm in comparison to her agitation.

Blythe took a deep breath and blurted out again, "I remember. You said to give Marcos a demonstration."

"Now's your chance, it's up to you if you want to do it." Winston still wanted her to think of the greater good.

Blythe pondered for a moment, "Okay, I'll see."

Rawlins was ushered into the parlor by his secretary.

"Mr. Rawlins, wait a moment, Mr. Blythe will be with you in a moment."

Not long after the secretary left, Blythe arrived.

As soon as he saw Blythe, Rawlins immediately stood up, his eyes fixed on her.

Blythe felt faint at that look, but she approached him with a calm demeanor and curved her lips into a smile, "Hello, Mr. Rawlins." "Earlene ..." blurted Rawlins.

The smile on Blythe's face froze, did he recognize her?
