Love Comes To Me
Chapter 148: Meeting Grandpa for the first time

After looking at the proposal, Layla Davidson gave some suggestions and Eloise Thompson took them back to revise it and had it ready by the end of the day.

It was also getting late and Eloise Thompson messaged Paige Coldwell to ask if he was available tomorrow.

Paige Coldwell got back quickly and said she was available and could meet tomorrow.

A faint smile flashed in Eloise Thompson's eyes. After thinking about it, she didn't go home either, and after packing her things, she went to an antique street, a street that sells antiques, some of which are not expensive, and with a bit of luck she can replace a real treasure of great value.

Eloise Thompson intended to buy a tea set for Paige Coldwell, after all, the other party was so sincere that the company would reimburse the money anyway.

The neighbourhood was bustling with people and Eloise Thompson walked around a bit before going into a shop and looking at a tea set.

This antique looking tea set, beautifully printed in ink and bamboo, is said to have been handed down from the Second World War.

Eloise Thompson didn't know much about tea ceremony and tea sets, but in her mind she thought this was a good set, so she asked the shop assistant, "Boss, how do you sell this tea set?"

The shop assistant came forward and looked at the tea set Eloise Thompson was looking at and spoke slightly apologetically, "Excuse me, young lady, we don't sell this tea set, we just have it here to admire."

"Huh? It's not for sale?" At that, Eloise Thompson felt a sense of regret that she had a set she wanted, but it wasn't for sale ...

"Yes, little girl, why don't you look at something else?"

Eloise Thompson had to look at the others, but after looking around she didn't like anything, she continued to look at the tea set she had just seen and asked, "Boss, can't you sell it to me? I really like this set and I'm willing to pay a high price for it, or do you have any other requests ..."

"Excuse me this young lady."

The shop assistant was adamant and would not sell anything Eloise Thompson said.

Seeing this, Eloise Thompson had to regretfully leave, who knew that just two steps away, an old man came down from the first floor of the shop, looking hale and hearty, wearing a black cheongsam and revealing a majestic aura all over his body.

Eloise Thompson looked at him and for a moment paused in her steps.

The old man slowly walked up to himself and his mellow voice spoke up and asked, "Young lady, why do you want to buy this tea set? Do you really like it? The things in my shop are only sold to those who really love tea."

At that, Eloise Thompson snapped back to her senses and said, "Hello Grandpa, I bought this tea set for a friend who is very fond of tea, I don't know much about it myself, but I am very interested in it."

At the sight of the old man, for some reason, Eloise Thompson's original regretful heart grew a little more hopeful as she heard the old man before her ask, "Really? Then why do you see this tea set?"

Eloise Thompson laughed, "I'm not sure about that, maybe the tea set looks like it has a lot of charm! Anyway, I don't know why, but I quite liked it at first sight."

"Is that so? Then I heard you say earlier that you're quite interested in tea?"

As he spoke, the senior surveyed Eloise Thompson in front of him, a young girl with good looks and penetrating eyes, to the point of being very likeable.

Eloise Thompson nodded, "Yes Grandpa, but I was only introduced to the tea ceremony a few days ago."

"So what do you know about the tea ceremony?"

It was clear that the old man in front of him was interested in tea, and Eloise Thompson didn't expect to meet two people who loved the tea ceremony in just two days.

She had a good memory and thinking about what Paige Coldwell had told herself the other day about the tea ceremony, Eloise Thompson talked to the old man in front of her.

As they talked, Eloise Thompson and the old man actually got to talking. The old man noticed that the girl was really interested in tea and asked, "Little girl, do you know how to make tea?" Eloise Thompson responded truthfully, "I've never picked up on it, but the friend from two days ago did teach it a few times."

At the sound of her voice, she saw the old man before her greet her and come to the table.

"Come and try it."

Eloise Thompson smiles helplessly, the old man is quite the tea snob!

She didn't refuse, however, and thought about the tea-making technique Paige Coldwell had taught her the other day, but she was very rusty and seemed a bit clumsy. Eloise Thompson smiled shyly, "Grandpa, I'm sorry to make you laugh."

The old man didn't mind, but Eloise Thompson had a talent for making tea, even though she had no rules.

He looked at Eloise Thompson and then said, "Young lady, I can give you that tea set you were looking at."

At these words, Eloise Thompson's eyes flashed with surprise and she spoke with some disbelief, "Really? Grandpa."

"Of course it's true, but how about you promise me that you'll take an hour out of your day to come and make tea and chat with me, an old man, from now on?" "It's no problem, Grandpa, I'll be there."

Eloise Thompson found the old man to be a lovely, if imposing, man, and she was happy to spend an hour a day with him to chat and learn the tea ceremony.

Then, true to his word, the old man asked the clerk to pack the tea set for Eloise Thompson to take away.

"Thank you Grandpa, don't worry! I'll be sure to come by tomorrow." Eloise Thompson smiled at the door and said goodbye to the old man.

"Well, go on! See you tomorrow."

After Eloise Thompson left, the clerk looked at his back and asked in disbelief, "Didn't you like that tea set very much, Master? Why did you give it away without fearing that the girl would turn against you?"

The shop assistant was puzzled, if Eloise Thompson did not want to come over, there was a sea of people, where could the old man replace her, and the tea set would be given away for nothing.

The old man smiled, his eyes flashing with a hint of determination.

"That little girl is an honest person, I can't be wrong, she will definitely come over tomorrow, this old man of mine is usually bored by himself, this little girl is interesting, it's good to have her over to keep me company during the week." The shop assistant smiled at this and didn't say anything.

The old man was just about to walk through the door when he seemed to remember something and asked again, "By the way, isn't that kid Hector coming over? Why hasn't he arrived yet?"

The clerk was about to respond that he would call and ask around when he saw a figure walking slowly not far away.

Hector Rogers is dressed in a loungewear outfit, the man's normally high-strung demeanour has a touch more casualness to it and a handsome face still looks handsome.

The clerk hastened to smile, "Master, the young master is here."
