Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1480: To Each His Own

Sweety was very smart, as soon as she heard Paulina say this, she immediately went to hug Marcos' thighs and cuddled him. "Daddy, come wrestle with us, okay?". Marcos couldn't stand his daughter's cuddling, so he got up and hugged Sweety, saying softly, "It's okay, Daddy will join you."

Paulina was a little surprised and looked at him with a "are you sure?" face.

"It's rare that I get to spend this time with you and the kids, so as long as you're happy, I'll do anything."

At these words, Paulina's heart flowed like warm water and she stood on her tiptoes to give him a gentle hug, "Thank you."

An hour later, the puzzle was finished with the four of them working together.

It was a puzzle of a Disney princess.

Looking at the finished puzzle, Sweety smiled with a beautiful arched eyebrow.

"Does Sweety like it?" asked Paulina, taking the floor.

Sweety nodded vigorously, "Yes, I like it very much."

"Then let's hang it in this room, shall we?" asked Paulina again.

Sweety's little face scrunched up, "Can't we take it to our house?".

"You want to take him home?"

"Hmm."

Paulina smiled, "Okay then, then Mom will have him packed up and we'll take him home."

Sweety burst out laughing, "Thanks, Mommy."

Paulina looked and saw that it was after nine o'clock and said, "Go all of you get a bath and go to bed, tomorrow is Grandpa's birthday and we have to get up early." Esteban and Sweety said "yes" in unison and ran off together.

Paulina and Marcos were left alone in the room.

"Why were you out all day today?" asked Marcos.

Paulina smiled, "We also went to pick out dresses, so we were late."

Marcos lifted a hand to help her wrap the strands of hair around her cheeks behind her ears and asked softly, "Tired?"

"A little." Paulina bristled, "But it was fun."

"We have to get up early tomorrow, so we'll go to bed early too when the kids are in bed." Marcos said.

Paulina nodded, "Good."

...

The next day Paulina got up early.

When she came downstairs and saw Dulce busy, she was quick to ask, "Tia, can I help you?"

Dulce turned her head, "No, I don't think so. Go and have breakfast."

Paulina didn't insist and turned around and headed for the dining room.

When she entered the dining room, Edwina, who was setting the dishes, smiled at Dulce and said, "Mrs. Paulina, good morning."

"Good morning." Paulina looked at the small dishes still steaming on the table and guessed, "You didn't prepare them yourself, did you?" Edwina smiled softly.

Paulina looked at the appetizing breakfast on the table, "It really is, it looks and feels so good."

"Mistress Paulina, sit down and I'll help you with the porridge."

Paulina wanted to say she would, but before the words could get out, Edwina had already turned and walked into the kitchen.

She had to pull out a chair and sit down.

Just as she sat down, Esteban and Sweety came running in, followed by Marcos.

"Mom!" Sweety jumped onto Paulina's lap.

Paulina gently stroked his head and asked with a kind face, "Are you hungry?"

Sweety nodded her head.

"Then sit down with your brother and Mommy will go and serve you some porridge."

She was about to get up when suddenly a weight fell on her shoulders and she turned her head to see it was Mark.

"Sit down, I'll do it."

Four simple, straightforward words fell.

Marcos took a step toward the kitchen.

The corners of Paulina's mouth curved slowly, a sweet smile spread across her lips.

Edwina came out just in time to meet Marcos, she smiled and nodded, and Marcos nodded softly in return.

"It seems my cousin's husband only smiles when he's in front of you." Edwina said with a smile as she placed the porridge in front of Paulina. "Actually, he's quite good like that. When he's facing the outsiders, he's all cold and icy, like an iceberg."

"It's a good thing Edgar doesn't get so cold." Edwina felt inexplicably relieved.

If it were her, she wouldn't have had the courage to spend time with someone so cold.

Paulina laughed lightly, "To each his own."

As Sweety listened, she asked curiously, "Mom, what's love?"

Before Paulina could answer, she heard Esteban explain earnestly, "Mom means that Dad is Mom's love and Uncle is Auntie's love."

Paulina and Edwina looked at each other and both couldn't help but smile.

Edgar walked over and saw how happy the two were laughing and asked in amazement, "Are they in such a good mood this early in the morning?" "Uncle Junior is loved by his uncles!" shouted Sweety to Edgar.

"Huh?" Edgar looked confused.

He wanted to keep asking when he was pushed by Edwina to a chair, "Hurry up and eat breakfast, you have work later."

It was after nine o'clock when breakfast was over.

Paulina and the others gathered their things and hurried to the hotel.

The birthday banquet was being held at a well-known five-star hotel in Kyoto, and when Paulina arrived, the banquet venue was already set up.

It was very discreet and luxurious, with the crystal overhead lights emitting a dazzling glow.

Glancing at the busy hotel staff, Paulina's mouth curved, "I hope Grandpa has a happy birthday today."

Marcos slipped his arm around her shoulders, "I will."

As night fell, the lights came on.

The entrance to the hotel was lined with luxury cars, and in addition to relatives and business associates of The Khan Family, there were several of Grandpa Khan's friends from his youth, all now prominent figures in the world. Sitting in his wheelchair, the old man's face beamed and smiled with the signs of age.

Old friends came up to congratulate him and he was so happy to talk about his past that everyone laughed.

Paulina had worried that the old man's health could not stand, but now it seemed that she had worried too much.

"Paulina, come here."

At that moment Dulce's voice came.

She turned her head to look, only to see Dulce smiling and waving at her.

Before approaching, she glanced at Edgar, who was drinking with his guests, and frowned slightly.

"Marcos, I'm going to get my brother-in-law, you keep an eye on my cousin and don't let him drink too much." He said to Marcos who was standing next to him. Marcos nodded, "Yes, you go."

Paulina then walked towards Dulce with relief.

As soon as she approached, Dulce took her hand and introduced her to her sisters, "This is my niece, Paulina, and the eldest daughter-in-law of Ciudad JLa Leoz family." Some of the elegantly dressed wives looked Paulina up and down and one of them laughed, "The genes of The Khan family are really good, you are all beautiful."
