Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1514: Such a rich private life.
"Who the hell did this?"
Blythe held her coffee with one hand and dragged the mouse gently with the other, the corners of her mouth turned ever upward as her eyes fell on the computer comments cursing the Leoz Group and Paulina. Winston reached over and rested his hands on the back of his chair, leaned toward her ear and curved his lips, "Anyway, whoever did this really made a big deal out of it this time."
Blythe took a sip of her coffee and raised a thin eyebrow, "Yes it's a big deal now that the Leoz Group is discredited and Paulina's reputation is worse."
"But that's not enough." Winston straightened up.
"What do you mean?" Blythe turned her head to look at him.
Winston's eyes narrowed, "To the tail, of course."
Blythe was curious, "How do you plan to do that?"
"Since the reputation is so bad, it won't hurt to be worse."
Looking at him confidently, Blythe lifted his coffee and took a sip, looking thoughtful.
Earlier that day, a video went viral on the Internet of a former Leoz Group employee crying about the Leoz Group's harshness toward him.
In the video, the employee, whose voice was Mosaic, cried and told how she had been a domestic employee at the Leoz Group, in charge of cleaning the entire floor of the president's office.
But because she once broke a vase, the president's wife scolded her and docked her salary for a month.
There was a lot of crying, mostly because of Paulina's harsh treatment of her staff.
When this video came to light, Paulina was scolded even more.
...
"What the hell is going on here?"
Bergerian saw the video of Paulina's beating on the Internet and her face was especially ugly, her eyes were grim and frightening.
Carl cautiously told Bergerian what had happened today.
"This father just died and he's itching to cause trouble at the Leoz Group, and that woman is good." Bergerian had sarcasm between his eyebrows.
Carl kept his head down, not daring to say anything.
Bergerian narrowed his eyes, "Looks like the Leoz Group got into trouble this time."
He wasn't stupid, he immediately realized that someone was targeting the Leoz Group, but the strength of the Leoz Group was there, and whoever could calculate it to such an extent shouldn't be simple either. Thinking about this, he ordered, "Carl, investigate, I want to see who is targeting the Leoz Group."
"Yes." Carl replied respectfully.
In the evening, when Bergerian returned to the hotel, Lisa, who had been sitting on the couch watching TV, got up and greeted him as soon as he entered the room.
"You're back." Lisa smiled and seemed to be in a good mood.
Bergerian looks at her thoughtfully for a moment, takes off his jacket and asks, pretending not to think about it, "Have you been at the hotel all day? You haven't been out and about?"
Lisa takes off her coat and returns Dulce's smile, "No, there's not much to do here. I'm just at the hotel watching TV and surfing the net."
"Is that so?" Bergerian gave her a sidelong glance.
Lisa was a smart person and instantly understood what he meant by that look.
He was doubting her.
"You can ask the people at the hotel if you don't believe me." Lisa hung up her jacket and followed him into the living room and sat down.
"I don't disbelieve." said Bergerian lightly as he removed his tie.
Lisa didn't answer again, just asked, "Have you had dinner yet, should I ask the hotel to bring it up for you?"
"No." Bergerian squeezed his aching temples and closed his eyes at the image of Paulina's pounding.
Lisa noticed he wasn't in a good mood and asked worriedly, "Did something happen?"
Bergerian opened his eyes and turned his head to look at her, "Nothing, I'm just tired from work."
"Get some rest if you're tired." Lisa got up, "I'm going to put the bath on you."
Watching Lisa enter the room, Bergerian's face slowly sank, he was acting normal, there wasn't a hint of anything wrong.
But the more he did it, the more he felt something was wrong.
The woman who had caused the trouble had obviously been ordered to fight the Leoz Group.
So who had ordered her to do it?
Was it Lisa?
Or was it someone else?
Lisa came out of the room and saw Bergerian with a thoughtful look on his face, wondering what he was thinking.
So she approached him and timidly asked, "What are you thinking?"
At the sound of her voice, Bergerian looked up and spoke slowly, "I'm thinking about what happened today at the Leoz Group." Lisa's eyes flickered, feigning bewilderment, and she asked, "What happened at the Leoz Group?"
Bergerian narrows her eyes and asks instead of answering, "You don't know?"
"I don't know." Lisa shakes her head.
Bergerian stares at her for a moment, then stands up and says as he heads to his room, "I'm tired and want to rest."
Lisa turns and watches him enter the room, relieved that he hadn't found anything, right?
During the night, Lisa had fallen asleep when Bergerian quietly got up and left the room.
She went to the balcony and called Carl.
"Check for me on Lisa's whereabouts lately, and also replace out if it has anything to do with the woman who caused the trouble."
Hanging up the phone, he looked up at the ink-pale sky with a somber look on his face.
...
Soon, at dawn, Bergerian received Carl's replaceings.
Carl had sent him surveillance video of Lisa and Juanetta.
Bergerian was furious.
Lisa was implicated.
She hadn't given up. She was still trying to get to Paulina.
It seemed that everything he had told her hadn't worked.
"Sir, are we going to help Mrs. Paulina?" Carl had also seen the abusive comments about Paulina on the Internet, which were very hard to hear, and he couldn't help but feel some sympathy for Paulina as well. Help?
Bergerian hesitated.
On the one hand, he didn't want to help Marcos, but on the other, he didn't want to see Paulina caught up in such a spiral.
Paulina was the most innocent person in the whole affair.
But she was also the most wronged.
"Go on, replace out who Juanetta is!"
Whether it helped or not, Bergerian had to get to the bottom of the situation first.
"Yeah."
Carl took the lead and continued to investigate, and the more he investigated, the more alarmed he became.
Things were not at all what he had expected.
When he found out more about Juanetta, Carl was the first to brief Bergerian.
"Sir, here's the information on that Juanetta."
Bergerian took the investigation report Carl handed him, looked down and flipped through it.
"The man who died was not Juanetta's father at all, but a distant relative of hers who did not treat her well." said Carl.
"Didn't treat her well?"
Bergerian was more surprised by this than by the fact that he wasn't Juanetta's father.
If he wasn't good, and Juanetta cried so much, it was too bad she wasn't going to be an actress!
Carl was silent for a few seconds before adding, "Juanetta also worked as an escort at a club. According to her escorts, Juanetta was a big spender, didn't seem to be short of money, and used to go to the casino and date Prince." Bergerian closed the information and snorted coldly, "What a rich private life."
