Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1519: Retribution

Bergerian hadn't expected the person who raided his house to be sent by Marcos. Other than the past, he didn't seem to have angered Marcos anywhere, did he?

Suddenly, he thought of something and his eyebrows closed slightly, "Is it because of my encounter with Paulina?".

At the sound of Paulina's name, Carl's eyes sparkled and he spoke cautiously, "Sir, Ms. Paulina was in a car accident on her way back from her meeting with you." At these words, Bergerian's pupils tensed, "What did he say?"

"There was a car that ran a red light and hit her directly."

Almost instantly, a terrible thought flashed through Bergerian's mind.

But he wasn't sure about getting off.

"How is the person, is there something wrong, and has the perpetrator been caught?"

At Bergerian's repeated questions, Carl methodically replied, "I hear the person is fine, but the perpetrator hasn't been caught yet, it was a black hit-and-run car." A black car?

A hit and run?

Looks like the other party really did it on purpose!

Bergerian clenched his fists, his expression growing darker and darker.

He was silent for a while before slowly asking, "Where's Lisa?"

"She hasn't been back since she left this morning." Carl replied.

"Did she say where she was going?"

"No."

Bergerian laughed softly, a smile that didn't reach his cold eyes, "Paulina was in a car accident and Lisa is nowhere to be seen, what kind of coincidence is that?" Carl was surprised to hear this, "Sir, you suspect ..."

"Check!" Said Bergerian in a stern voice, "Get to the bottom of this, and replace Lisa and bring her to me, I want to ask her myself!"

"Yes!" Carl turned and hurried away.

Bergerian's face was as dark as ink and his eyes were cold.

If Paulina's car accident had anything to do with Lisa, he couldn't escape blame.

From the beginning, when he had chased Lisa to J-town, he should have done everything he could to bring her back home.

As he thought about this, he leaned back in his chair and looked up at the ceiling, remorse surfacing in his heart.

...

Carl was ordered to investigate Lisa's whereabouts, but after a night of searching, he was unable to replace her.

Although J-town was a big place, with his means it was not difficult to replace a person.

Unless the person was hiding on purpose.

And Lisa did, leading her men to hide in a dilapidated residential building on the outskirts of the city.

Her men came to her and informed her that Bergerian was looking for her.

She merely grimaced and said nothing.

She had lost all hope in Bergerian since she had seen him with Paulina.

All that talk of remarrying, of doing what was best for her, was just a lie.

Everything Bergerian had done was for Paulina's sake.

With that thought, Lisa angrily raised her hand and all the things on the table fell to the floor.

Her hands clenched into fists, her knuckles turned white, her eyes exploded with hatred and she gritted her teeth, drawing out the words between them, "Paulina, I'm going to kill you!" She would make everyone who had wronged her suffer for the rest of their lives, including Bergerian.

And what would make Bergerian suffer would be Paulina's death!

With this in mind, Lisa threw her head back and laughed, a slightly raucous laugh, as if she had gone mad.

Before she could do anything, however, Paulina's health suddenly plummeted, throwing a high fever in the middle of the night, and she even became short of breath.

Marcos knew it had to do with the return of the virus and took Paulina to the hospital while alerting Sener and Almeida to come.

Sener and Almeida arrived in a hurry and immediately examined Paulina's body, both looked at each other with heavy faces.

"Prince, the virus in Paulina's body has settled." Sener reported as he stood in front of Marcos with his head bowed.

The results he had already guessed were confirmed and the hands that fell to his sides slowly tightened, Marcos' face was extremely hard.

"Can we keep it suppressed?" asked Marcos in a deep voice.

"Almeida is injecting Paulina with the latest drug we have developed, but the effect is not as fast and depends on Paulina's own willpower." "Don't ever fail me." Marcos looked at Sener with a sullen look.

Sener ducked his head in fear, "Prince, don't worry, we will do our best to save Paulina."

Marcos closed his eyes to hide the weariness under them, "Go in and help Almeida."

"Yes." Sener turned and walked into the intensive care unit.

A stony silence surrounded them again and Mark opened his eyes, his gaze falling through the glass window of the ICU on Paulina in the bed inside.

Seeing her lying motionless, he felt as if his heart had been crushed so hard it was hard to breathe.

How he wished he could be there in her place.

Throughout the night, Almeida and Sener tried to replace a way to bring Paulina's fever down.

It was getting light and both Almeida and Sener were a little pale with exhaustion.

However, their efforts were not in vain, as Paulina's fever had gone down a little and her body temperature was not as high.

But she was still unconscious and would not wake up.

...

Blythe and Winston have been following a lot of what has been going on with the Leoz Group in the last few days, and seeing the Leoz Group being called so badly on the internet really hurt them both too much. "Winston, do you think Grupo Leoz can still turn around this time?" Blythe was afraid that Grupo Leoz would hit rock bottom, not that it hasn't happened before.

"If we're afraid, then we're going to stomp so hard again that it will never turn around." Winston had a sinister look on his face.

Blythe frowned, "Just like my brother?"

She had seen what Rawlins had said in a media interview the other day and it did have an effect on the Leoz Group.

"No." Winston shook his head, "You probably don't know that something more serious has happened to The Leoz family." "What?"

"Paulina was in a car accident and I hear she's still in the ICU in a coma."

"Really!" Blythe sounded so excited, it was the most delightful news she had ever heard in her life.

"It's true."

"Great!" Blythe burst out laughing.

Then, after a moment's thought, she said, "What kind of stir do you think it would cause on the Internet if we put it out there? Would people on the Internet take pity on Paulina or report her?" Winston raised an eyebrow, "I'd opt for the latter."

The two men looked at each other and smiled with equal amusement.

The story of Paulina's unconscious car accident spread and the Internet was once again abuzz, with most applauding and saying it was the revenge of the Leoz Group!
