Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1534: Trying to protect mom well too
When Vega left, Marcos returned to the room.
"Vega's back?" asked Paulina with a smile when she saw him enter.
Immediately after, she noticed he didn't look too good and curbed her smile, "She told you everything, didn't she?"
"Yes." Marcos nodded.
"I didn't know Bergerian would suddenly show up either, in fact you know how much I hate him ..." Paulina hastened to explain fearing he might get the wrong idea. After all, last time Bergerian had mentioned something about getting a divorce.
"I'm not mad at you." Seeing the nervous expression on her face, a slight smile tugged at the corners of Mark's lips, "I was thinking about another very important matter." "What?" asked Paulina.
"Stay away from Blythe from now on."
Paulina was confused, "How did this get back to Blythe?"
"How did Bergerian know you were pregnant, who told him?"
Paulina froze for a moment, remembering her run-in with Blythe yesterday, and instantly replied, "You suspect Blythe told Bergerian?"
"Who else but her." said Marcos.
Paulina wrinkled her brow, "If Blythe and Bergerian are in cahoots, could Blythe be working with us for something else?"
She had never understood why Blythe had been so intent on working with the Leoz Group.
Now it seemed to make a little more sense.
He couldn't help but worry, "There's nothing wrong with that project the firm is working on with her, is there?"
The Leoz Group has had two major ups and downs in the past, and can't afford to lurch.
"Don't worry, I'll handle this." Marcos put his arm around her and his soft voice sounded above her head, "Don't worry about it, stay home with Esteban and Sweety."
Paulina reached out and wrapped her arms around his waist, nodding earnestly, "Yes. But if you have any worries, you can tell me. It's better to have one more person to share it with than to have to go through so much alone." Marcos let out a soft "hmm."
...
After this period of psychotherapy, Esteban was almost recovered and had no trauma left.
After therapy, Esteban became obsessed with computer programming and almost every day he would come home from school and spend an hour or so in his study fiddling with the computer. It was a total obsession..
But Marcos didn't say anything, instead he arranged for a master hacker from Shura to come and teach Esteban.
With his teacher teaching him, Esteban improved rapidly and even wrote a mini-game program for Sweety to play.
Paulina was proud of her son for being so good.
One day, she walked into the studio with fruit and saw Esteban's serious face, so she didn't call him.
Paulina sat quietly with her hand on her cheek and looked at her son's increasingly delicate face with tenderness in her eyes.
Esteban's frown looked more and more like Marcos', especially when he frowned, it was the same.
Paulina felt as if she was seeing Marcos as a child.
Esteban felt his mother's intense stare and his fingers tapping on the keyboard stopped and he turned his head, looking at Paulina with a somewhat helpless expression.
"Mom, I can't even concentrate with you looking at me like that."
At that, Paulina looked back and feigned disgust, "Are you resenting me?"
"No, Mom." Esteban turned around and said seriously, "I'm writing a program right now, and if you look at me, I'll get distracted and write badly."
She laughed and stroked Esteban's cheek, "Okay, then Mom will leave you alone. But you should eat some fruit afterwards and take a break, looking at the computer all the time is not good for your eyes." "Mom, I know." Esteban turned his head to look at her before diving back into typing on the program, his hands tapping rapidly on the keyboard.
Paulina sighed softly, exactly like her father, always so serious and focused on his work.
She turned and walked out, gently closing the door behind her.
Esteban looked back at the closed door and, with a flick of his fingers, switched to an interface and quickly entered his username and password to access a chat application.
This chat program was a virus that Esteban had accidentally cracked some time ago.
It contained a collection of elites from various fields.
When he found the program, Esteban was very excited.
What he enjoyed most was playing against all kinds of experts.
Esteban, whose codename is "E", opens a chat window and replaces a man whose codename is "Z".
It was the first person he had met on the chat application.
The other person seemed to be in the intelligence business and had a wide network.
Earlier, Esteban overheard a conversation between Marcos and Vega.
He remembered the name "Blythe."
So when he opened the chat window, he sent an open message, "Check two people for me."
"Boy, do you know how to be polite?"
The other party quickly replied.
E: Please check two people for me.
Z: That's right. Give me the names.
E: Blythe, Winston.
Z: Okay, I'll get them for you.
The main reason Z agreed to do it was because he and Esteban had a good talk and he liked Esteban very much.
Even though he didn't know who the other person was through the internet, that didn't stop Z from falling in love with Esteban.
Esteban came out of the chat, his nonchalant look identical to Marcos', with a maturity he shouldn't have at his age between his little eyebrows.
He knew that a lot had happened at the company during that time, that Mom was not well and that Dad was busy with the company and worried about Mom. Now that he was older, he wanted to protect his mom and didn't want anyone to hurt her again.
Thinking about this, Esteban's young face is cold and inappropriate for his age.
At that moment, Paulina was in Sweety's room, reading her a bedtime story, completely unaware that Esteban wanted to use his strength to protect her. "It's okay Sweety, it's bedtime when I finish the story." Paulina closed her storybook and turned her head to look at Sweety tenderly.
Sweety pouted, "But I haven't heard enough."
"You can only tell one story a night. Mom will get tired if you keep telling it to her."
"Then... well, don't let Mom get tired."
"Good boy." Paulina tucked her in, "Then Sweety be good and go to sleep."
Sweety closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.
Paulina gently got up and got out of bed, turning off the main light in the room, leaving only a sconce on, before leaving.
