Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1541: I'm glad you're okay.

The car drove into the center of town, weaving through the traffic, Mark keeping an eye out for the car following behind.

The car followed them everywhere and they couldn't shake it off.

Marcos' face grew darker and darker. If he had been the only one in the car, he wouldn't have had to deal with them so much, but Paulina was there and he had to protect her. "Driver, stop at the coffee shop up ahead."

The words were spoken, and in a few moments the car stopped in front of the coffee shop.

"What would you like to drink?" Marcos turned his head and asked Paulina.

Paulina frowned, "You won't be able to sleep at night if you drink coffee at this hour."

"It's okay."

Marcos patted her hand and opened the door to get out of the car.

Once out of the car, he glanced out of the corner of his eye at the car that had stopped right next to them, the night was too dark to see who was inside. Marcos strides into the coffee shop.

Paulina watched through the car window as Marcos pushed open the glass door of the coffee shop and entered.

After about ten minutes, Marcos came out with two cups of coffee and got into the car without any hurry. The driver looked at Marcos in the rearview mirror, "Prince, shall we continue shopping now or go back?".

Marcos looked at his watch, his eyes narrowed slightly and said, "Back."

On the way back, the other car was following close behind, the driver's nerves were tense and his grip on the steering wheel was getting harder and harder. Suddenly, two cars ran into traffic, and the strong lights shone on the car, the driver slammed on the brakes, but they inevitably crashed into each other! With a loud bang, Paulina also lunged forward, but luckily Marcos was able to catch her in time.

Paulina was taken aback and blushed a little, "What's going on..."

Marcos hugged her tightly, his stern gaze looking through the windshield at the two cars blocking the front of the car.

Paulina saw it too, and looked back to see two cars parked behind her as well.

It was instantly clear to her that this was not just any traffic accident, but that someone was trying to turn on them.

"Marcos ..." she looked worriedly at Marcos.

"I'm here, don't be afraid." Marcos gave her a reassuring smile.

Everyone else got out of the car and a dozen men surrounded them.

"Driver, are you okay?" asked Paulina worriedly, looking at the front row.

"Just a bump on my forehead, I should be fine."

The driver finished answering and asked, "Prince, what do we do?"

Marcos said unhurriedly, "No hurry."

As soon as his words left his mouth, the sound of brakes sounded from outside the car.

The people who had gathered around the car turned their heads, only to see several cars stop and a dozen men abruptly get out and run toward them. "Alfredo is here!"

Paulina shouted in surprise at the sight of a familiar figure.

Marcos was not surprised; he had sent a message to Alfredo to bring the men immediately.

Going downtown was nothing more than a delay.

The two sides clashed, but Marcos' men were very well trained and soon, cleanly, they finished each other off.

"Prince, are you all right?"

Alfredo walked over and knocked on the car window.

"We're fine, take everyone to the police station."

Marcos pushed the car door, got out and added, "Give me the car keys, I'll take Paulina home. By the way, go to the hospital with the driver again, he just hit his forehead." "Yes."

Alfredo replied as he handed her the car keys. Then, it was time to turn around and order the men to tie each other up.

Marcos finished his explanation, looked at Paulina who was following him out of the car and said softly, "Come on, we're going home." "Good."

After getting into Alfredo's car, Paulina was still in shock, her eyebrows furrowed with worry. "Are they going to be okay, Alfredo?".

"Vega is there, don't worry, they'll take care of it."

Paulina felt a slight relief that Vega was there.

"But who the hell did those people send? How did they replace out about our trip this afternoon?". Paulina was perplexed.

Marcos looked at the road in front of the car, his eyes cold, "Later Alfredo and the others will look into it. But I guess it has nothing to do with Rawlins' gang."

It was hard not to relate this to the Rawlins when there were cars following them as soon as they left the hotel.

"If it really is them, it's too much!" said Paulina indignantly, clenching her fists.

Marcos gave her a sidelong glance and whispered, "Don't be angry and don't worry, I'll protect you."

At that moment, Paulina looked up and met his dark, deep black eyes and smiled slightly, "Actually, I'd rather you protect yourself."

To her, he was more important than herself.

Marcos was in the same mood.

A small smile tugged at the corner of Marcos' lips and he nodded, "Good."

As soon as the words were out of his mouth, he saw a van pull out of the intersection diagonally in front of him and head straight for them as if it had lost control. Paulina's heart stopped from fright and she unconsciously shouted, "Marcos!".

Marcos' pupils flinched and he reacted quickly by jerking the steering wheel to dodge the truck. But there was no way around it, as the green belt was on the right hand side!

As the car was unable to brake for a while, Marcos made the decision to hit the steering wheel again to avoid going over the passenger side.

Bang...

Paulina leans forward, head blank for a moment, and looks at Marcos in horror.

Only to see stabbing blood running down his forehead.

"Marcos!" Paulina paled in fear and kept calling his name as she shakily reached for the phone.

Marcos struggled to open his eyes, relieved to see that she was okay, and said softly, "I'm glad you're okay."

With that, consciousness receded completely.

"Marcos ... Marcos!" cried Paulina, her hands so shaky she couldn't even hold the phone.

Several cars stopped around, some pulled up to check the situation, others helped call an ambulance.
