Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1550: Uprooting

Marcos was very busy these two days, leaving early and coming back late every day.

Paulina could see how busy he was, so she tried not to bother him and stayed home with the kids every day.

That day, Paulina and Mrs. Gloria went to the hospital to take Bonita home.

"It's nothing serious, but you should still rest and try not to strain yourself when you come back." admonished the doctor.

Bonita smiled and nodded, "Good."

She then looked at Ms. Gloria and Paulina, "Finally we can leave the hospital, it was so hard being in the hospital, it was uncomfortable everywhere."

"Be careful from now on, you are not always lucky to have your sister-in-law around." said Mrs. Gloria in a rare moment of seriousness.

Bonita took her by the arm and leaned on her affectionately, "Don't worry, Mom, I'll be very, very careful from now on."

Alvaro gathered his things and walked over saying, "Come on, let's go home."

After dropping them off at home, Alvaro went straight to the office.

He had been at the hospital taking care of Bonita and had not had time to go to the office.

Still, he was very aware of what his brother was doing these days.

As soon as he arrived at the company, he went straight to the president's office.

"Brother, how is it going now?"

Marcos looked up with a slight frown, "Don't you know how to knock when you come in?"

Alvaro raised an eyebrow, unimpressed, "I'm not a stranger, why knock."

"In the future, knock first." Marcos lowered his eyes and continued to look at the papers in his hands.

"Okay, next time I'll remember to call." Alvaro walked over, took a closer look at the papers and wondered, "Isn't this an overseas project?"

Marcos gave a slight "hmm" and didn't say much.

"Brother, this isn't one of Chris's projects, is it?"

"Yes." Marcos raised his head, his handsome face unperturbed, and said, "He has good projects and I'd like to take over."

"Brother, are you crazy? If we take them over, won't everything be exposed as our doing?" Alvaro was a little anxious.

Marcos laughed softly, "I didn't say take over on behalf of the Leoz Group, you don't have to be so anxious." "Scared the hell out of me." Alvaro was instantly relieved.

"Eliazar will take care of this, we don't have to worry." Marcos closed the file and tapped his fingers over it, a sneer curved the corners of his lips. "Next, we'll take our time and enjoy how Chris was saved." Alvaro frowned and asked worriedly, "What if Chris and Rawlins replace out we did it, will it backfire on them?"

"That would only happen if Chris could save his energy, right now he's in no position to save himself, there's no time for a counter strike." Marcos was pale, "As for the Rawlins, there's nothing to fear." Alvaro laughed at the look of arrogance on his brother's face as he ignored the Rawlins. "Brother, you're back to your old self after all."

Marcos smiled and said nothing.

He lowered his head and stroked the wedding ring on his ring finger, his face slightly cold. "It's Bergerian I'd rather take care of right now." Bergerian had taken advantage of her memory loss and had had the audacity to even think about Paulina.

Where did he get the qualifications to love Paulina.

Paulina's health had gotten much worse because of him.

It was about time he settled the score with Bergerian!

"Bergerian's pharmaceutical company in D-Town is on the right track."

Alvaro snorted upon hearing this, "I can't believe he's managed to make it in the field as well, the truth is, it's a hell of a lot better."

Marcos remained thoughtful for a moment, then dialed the intercom and let Alfredo in.

"Prince, what are your orders?"

Alfredo hurried into the office.

"It must be something important." Alvaro smiled and went to sit on the couch next to him.

"Indeed, Bergerian's skills are not to be underestimated, but if he doesn't use any tricks behind the scenes, I really don't believe it." Marcos narrowed his eyes, giving a glimpse of a dangerous glint. Alvaro turned his head to look at him, "He must have used some means, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to gain a foothold in the country so quickly."

"Alfredo, investigate what the hell is going on here." Marcos smiled coldly.

Alfredo nodded, "Yes, I will look into it."

With those words, he turned and prepared to leave.

"Wait!" Marcos called out to him.

Alfredo hurriedly turned around and asked, "What else does the prince want?".

Marcos was silent for a few seconds before speaking, "Make an appointment for Joaquin Robles, I want to meet him."

Hearing the name "Joaquin Robles," Alfredo and Alvaro were startled.

"Prince, you ..."

Before Alfredo could finish the sentence, Marcos interrupted him, "Don't ask anything, do as I say."

He already said it, Alfredo how dare he ask more questions, hurriedly and quickly leaves.

"Brother, why are you suddenly thinking about Joaquin Robles?" Alvaro was curious.

Joaquin Robles seemed to have taken a liking to his sister-in-law, only to give her up willingly.

By all accounts, she was his brother's love interest.

"I need your help." Marcos said matter-of-factly, "Bergerian is a major criminal and he's still at large. For Paulina's safety, I need to replace a way to bring him to justice." Alvaro nodded, "And yes, it is in no one's best interest that a man as dangerous as Bergerian is not captured sooner."

"This time, not only do I want him brought to justice, but uproot all of his men overseas." A hint of cruelty appeared on Marcos' face.

Only by uprooting them would there be no worries later.

...

Marcos and Joaquin Robles made an appointment at a coffee shop near the office.

As soon as the two met, Joaquin Robles scoffed with a smile, "Mr. Marcos, I thought you never wanted to see me again in your life." Marcos rubbed his fingers over the rim of his coffee cup and said nothing.

Joaquin Robles was used to his cool demeanor and leaned back in his chair as he said, "You asked me out for something, didn't you?" "Bergerian is in D-Town," Marcos spoke slowly, "I guess you must have kept an eye on him."

Joaquin Robles picked up his coffee and took a sip, raising an eyebrow, "The coffee here doesn't taste so bad." Marcos didn't care that he had deliberately changed the subject, he just asked, "Don't you want to arrest Bergerian?"

"Yes, of course I do." Joaquin Robles raised his eyes and glared at him, "But he's too slick for Interpol, let alone me."

"You can work with me." Marcos said, "If we work together, I'm sure you'll have him arrested in no time."

Joaquin Robles looked at him and carefully considered his proposal.

He was sure that Marcos had the ability to help himself, since he had asked him to do so.

So he nodded, "Okay, we'll work together."
