Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 186: Do you still take your sister-in-law
In the restaurant, the assistant watched as Eloise Thompson and the others left, their president's face already sunken, but he remained in his seat impassively.
The assistant was puzzled until after Eloise Thompson had left and Hector Rogers was continuing to talk to the client.
Throughout the process, the client was on tenterhooks, fearful of offending Hector Rogers if he was not careful.
Once the meal broke up and they left the restaurant, Hector Rogers spoke up and instructed his assistant, "Go and replace out what's going on?"
Why did Eloise Thompson go on a blind date for no reason, was she forced to?
The assistant took orders, but couldn't resist asking, "Aren't you going to Miss Eloise, President?"
Just ask Eloise Thompson, maybe there's a misunderstanding!
"Not for a while." Hector Rogers pursed his lips and spoke.
The assistant wondered why the president didn't go when he clearly cared. But he looked at Hector Rogers' face and didn't dare ask any more questions and went straight to investigate.
After the assistant left, Hector Rogers pulled up to the block below Eloise Thompson's house, lit a cigarette and hesitated for half a second before going down.
After meeting Eloise Thompson, Hector Rogers didn't know what to do and asked her why she was going on a blind date. And for some reason, Hector Rogers was afraid of being like what he had in mind. Eloise Thompson wants to stay away from him again...
A cigarette burned out, and instead of going up to Eloise Thompson, Hector Rogers eventually drove off.
...
Eloise Thompson arrived home with mixed emotions, looking at her phone and feeling both lost and grateful that she had not heard anything from Hector Rogers or Solomon.
She wondered how she would face Hector Rogers if he approached her again now?
Eloise Thompson doesn't want to push him far away, doesn't want to see him and Solomon upset, but...
Sitting on the sofa, she opened a bottle of red wine and Eloise Thompson held in her hands the painting that Solomon had painted a few days earlier, looking at the few people on it and her eyes reddened involuntarily.
It took a glass of red wine to make Eloise Thompson feel slightly better and, not knowing how much she had drunk, she drifted off to sleep.
...
Rogers Group the following day.
The assistant quickly found out how Eloise Thompson had been matched and hesitated for a moment but spoke truthfully to Hector Rogers, "President, Miss Eloise registered her ID and information on a dating website yesterday and went on a blind date of her own accord."
The assistant was also surprised to replace out this result. He could not have imagined that Eloise Thompson was willing to go on a blind date of her own accord, without anyone forcing her or any misunderstanding.
Rupert Rogers happened to come in and heard this and the whole thing was a shock. "Sister-in-law going on a blind date? What are you talking about? Did I hear you right!"
"Yes, Mr Rupert," said the assistant, telling Rupert Rogers roughly what had happened yesterday. After hearing this, Rupert Rogers was a bit incredulous throughout... what kind of pace is this? "Brother, what's going on?"
Rupert Rogers thought that his mother had solved the problem and that the two of them were now moving in a good direction, and that it wouldn't be long before they could get married and give Solomon a brother or sister, but now ... seems to be a bit different from his own imagination. But now seems to be a bit different from what he imagined!
Hector Rogers was also frowning slightly, it was obvious to him recently that Eloise Thompson had opened up to him, everything had been fine the other day, so why the shift again? She had even taken the initiative to go on a blind date. "Brother, what now?"
Hector Rogers pursed his lips and there was a hint of a low tone in his voice.
"It has always been me who has approached towards her, and if she is not willing to approach, but instead repeatedly retreats, then it is useless for me to approach anyhow."
Good indeed, Eloise Thompson has avoided herself I don't know how many times since we met, and Hector Rogers has a vague suspicion that she went on a blind date to try and replace a shield.
He wasn't sure exactly what the reason was for Eloise Thompson avoiding him again... and wasn't sure what he should do now. After a pause, Hector Rogers instructed his assistant to look into Eloise Thompson's blind dates again, fearing that they had some sort of impure interest in Eloise Thompson with any impure intentions.
Rupert Rogers looked at his brother's helpless look and sighed, not knowing what to say for a moment, so he changed the subject.
"By the way, Grandpa's birthday is coming up, is there really nothing to be done?"
"Let him be, he won't let me get involved either."
"I don't know what Grandpa was thinking, to give a birthday party to someone he's only known for a few days to plan, I was thinking before that I'd leave it to my sister-in-law, how well she planned Sister-in-law Solomon's birthday party last time!"
Rupert Rogers was trying to change the subject, and for some reason, the tug got to Eloise Thompson, and then couldn't resist speaking up and asking.
"Brother, then when the time comes for Grandpa's birthday party, will you still take your sister-in-law there?"
Hector Rogers didn't say anything, naturally he wanted to take Eloise Thompson to meet his grandfather, but at the moment... whether Eloise Thompson would go or not was another story. Looking at his brother's expression, Rupert Rogers once again changed the subject to work and chatted for a while in the office about the project before Rupert Rogers left.
...
About the same time Eloise Thompson had almost finished planning Grandpa Fletcher's birthday party, and when she finished work in the evening, she went to the antique shop. "Grandpa Fletcher, the birthday party has been planned, see if there is anything you don't like, I'll take it back and amend it."
"So soon? You've got heart."
Grandpa Fletcher took the document and smiled with satisfaction as he read it.
"There is nothing bad about it, little girl, thank you so much, I told you this matter could be left to you, before my grandson said something about you being reliable or not."
A smile flashed in Eloise Thompson's eyes, "You're welcome Grandpa Fletcher."
The more contact we had, the more Grandpa Fletcher grew fond of Eloise Thompson and with a smile he said, "You'll have to come to the birthday party."
"Yes, definitely."
Eloise Thompson readily agreed, and then she made tea and chatted with the old man. Probably because so much had happened in the past few days, Eloise Thompson was not in the best of spirits and was a little distracted when she made the coffee.
After the old man saw this, he put down the tea set in his hand and spoke up and asked, "Little girl, is there something on your mind? You can't be so distracted as you are when making tea."
"Sorry about that! Grandpa." Eloise Thompson snapped back.
Grandpa Fletcher looked at her and smiled, "Thinking of a sweetheart?"
"No." Eloise Thompson spoke up.
"And you're trying to fool me!" Grandpa Fletcher saw right through it, he sighed and spoke again, "I was thinking of pairing you with that grandson of mine, but I didn't expect my grandson to have someone he likes, and you to have someone in mind, hey, what a pity."
At that, Eloise Thompson couldn't help but smile, this Grandpa Fletcher was thinking of introducing himself to his grandson!
