Love Comes To Me
Chapter 241: Making a public spectacle of yourself

Eloise Thompson is clearly just pissed off.

Layla Davidson looked on with concern and held her tongue for a long time before asking her, "I know you've always been careful, you wouldn't pass such an important document through other people's hands, why is this happening?" Eloise Thompson shook her head as she meditated and couldn't guess.

When, exactly, did Reeva Lawson steal her planning scheme.

Seemingly seeing that Eloise Thompson was too nervous, Layla Davidson had to sober up when she saw how angry she was again, "You and Reeva Lawson don't have a lot of access to each other, and I think it's likely that we have a mole in the company."

Eloise Thompson pondered for a moment, although this planning, which was done by her alone.

But on the last day, she had communicated with other colleagues and had also taken some good advice and made slight changes.

Her face clearly grimaced as she heard Layla Davidson say, "This time, go back and make sure you investigate. If there really is a mole, there will be no mercy."

Layla Davidson thought about it and followed up with, "Eloise, think about it too, have you shown the planner to anyone else?"

Eloise Thompson is silent and looks very serious.

She really didn't show the planning scheme, to anyone else.

Layla Davidson saw this and followed suit with a stony expression.

"We're not going to lose this time, are we?" Eloise Thompson was worried.

She had noticed before that Kevin and Reeva Lawson were in personal contact and seemed to be quite happy.

If Kevin is determined to defend Reeva Lawson, it won't matter how impeccable she is in explaining her design ideas.

Layla Davidson was equally apprehensive and was at a loss as to how to comfort Eloise Thompson.

"I've just gone to get two drinks." Egbert Chumley had walked up to them silently and unnoticed at some point.

He handed one of the glasses, to Eloise Thompson, "Eloise, you relax, this is your favourite drink."

Eloise Thompson took it, and being overly nervous inside and also genuinely a little thirsty, she immediately took a few sips.

"You don't have to worry too much, your planning scheme is perfect and I'm sure you'll never lose." Egbert Chumley was extremely appreciative of her planning ideas, which were not only novel but also very much suited to the respective needs of the two factions within Exley.

Eloise Thompson saw that he had a heart to comfort and didn't want to see him worrying about himself, so she just tugged at the corner of her mouth in a farcical way, "Thanks."

But there was still a deep concern in her eyes that she could not hide.

Egbert Chumley sighed helplessly and stood by her side, not leaving an inch.

After a long time, he seemed to have thought of something and opened his mouth once more, "I still know Kevin well as a person. Although he may have some small thoughts, when it comes to big matters, he definitely knows how to take his measure and will never act recklessly."

Fearing that Eloise Thompson still wasn't completely at ease, he added reassurance, "Or else there's me to keep an eye on him for you."

When Eloise Thompson heard this, she was somehow less worried and smiled even slightly.

She was so touched that she could not help but express her gratitude once more.

Time is tight, and those who are waiting, even more so.

In the blink of an eye, ten minutes had passed.

This time, Kevin was the only one who showed up, and behind him, no other Exley executives followed him out.

His face was expressionless as he simply announced solemnly, "I declare that the final winner of this project is JS Group Planning."

Eloise Thompson instantly screamed with excitement, she had never lost her temper in public like this again and again.

Layla Davidson even subconsciously gave her a silent high five, celebrating not only that they got the rights to the campaign, but also that Eloise Thompson's hard work was not disgustingly stolen from her bystanders.

"I told you so, Eloise, now you can rest easy." Layla Davidson couldn't hide the triumphant joy inside her.

And Reeva Lawson's face turned extremely grim when she saw Eloise Thompson was leaving.

In particular, there was a lot of whispering in the parlour, all of them reproaching the Lawson Group for doing such a disgraceful thing as plagiarism.

Reeva Lawson, with a fierce look in her eyes, took a few steps forward and stopped Eloise Thompson in her tracks, "Eloise Thompson, do you think you're going to get away with this today? I'm not going to let this go, just wait, our lawyers from the Lawson Group will be with you shortly."

Eloise Thompson merely looked at her, and Reeva Lawson's personal style has made her extremely disdainful, to the point of laziness.

At that exact moment, Kevin's assistant, who was with her, asked her and Layla Davidson to come over and talk.

It was only logical that Eloise Thompson should bypass Reeva Lawson, who was in the way, and walk towards Kevin.

"Thank you so much, Kevin, for being able to trust us." Eloise Thompson was grateful again and again.

Kevin, on the other hand, was completely converted to Eloise Thompson and couldn't help but compliment her, "I'm the one who should be grateful to be working with someone as talented as Miss Eloise."

He offered his hand, "I've seen what you can do, and I hope to work together in the future."

Eloise Thompson smiled and shook his hand.

Kevin again warmly invited them to join them for a dinner party afterwards.

Eloise Thompson and Layla Davidson, exchanged glances and naturally agreed readily.

In the future, they will be a partnership. We might as well take this opportunity to make more contacts.

Egbert Chumley watched them talk to each other, had a few words with his team and came over too.

He saw the worry in Eloise Thompson's eyes replaced by joy and was happy to see it in his heart.

Instead he turned to her again, sighed and said with the utmost humour, "Eloise, I can't believe I'm losing to you again."

Kevin smiled and joked, "Just be content, it's an honour to lose to such a beautiful and elegant lady."

Reeva Lawson's head was almost smoking as they climbed into the conversation.

She left the parlour through gritted teeth and made her way straight to the underground parking room. Damn! Eloise Thompson, what the hell is she capable of?

Reeva Lawson was outraged that she had made a public spectacle of herself because of Eloise Thompson.

She furiously dialed Kevin's number, and as soon as he picked up, she pressed furiously, "Tell me, why did you do this?"

Kevin hesitates for a moment and asks rhetorically, "What are you trying to say?"

"Kevin, you promised me that you would leave the opportunity to work together, to me." Reeva Lawson was so angry that she heaved out one word at a time.

Kevin just pretended he didn't understand her and inquired, "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean."

Reeva Lawson laughed in anger, well, since he was pretending he didn't understand, she said, "Didn't you say you wanted to give me the advertising rights? Don't you want to get Eloise Thompson?"

Kevin, who hadn't wanted to fully poke his nose in, instantly flipped out when he heard her say that, "Yes, I had promised. But, Miss Reeva, what have you done again?"

When Reeva Lawson didn't say anything, he continued, "Well, you probably don't know me, although I have a hard time resisting beauty, and some things, I have no limits, but I have one scale that I can't touch, and that is plagiarism, so you don't have a chance, and this is the end of our friendship in the past."

Reeva Lawson was so angry that she turned blue and slammed her phone on the floor in a fury.
