Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 287: Idle Hands
Reeva Lawson's eyes flickered as her eyes swept over the gauze wrapped around Eloise Thompson's arm, then feigning concern, she asked, "Miss Eloise, I haven't seen you for so long, have you been anywhere?" Eloise Thompson's eyes coldened a few notches as she thought about what she had said to Solomon, and two words spilled out of her mouth indifferently, "Business trip." "So it was a business trip."
Reeva Lawson looked like she had a sudden realization, followed by a grin, "I thought you were having a falling out with Hector and splitting up."
Eloise Thompson's brow twitched and she suddenly smiled, "Was Miss Reeva disappointed?"
Reeva Lawson froze, then reacted with a little smile on her face.
It was meant to be an embarrassment, but I didn't expect her to be so articulate and know how to hit back.
"Of course not. It's just that all these days you've been away, Auntie Matriarch has been setting up Hector and Synnove Fare, and I just assumed it was over for you and Hector." She was mentioning it with a smile that gave no hint of intentionality, but she was.
Eloise Thompson smiles, "Miss Reeva, thank you for seeing me today, if there is nothing else, please go back. I'm tired and would like to rest."
Really don't want to waste my time with idle people, let alone unsuspecting idle people!
Reeva Lawson froze, perhaps not expecting her to give such a quick eviction, but quickly reacted and said sarcastically, "Since Miss Eloise wants to rest, I'll leave you to it." With those words, he turned and headed out the door.
Eloise Thompson raises her eyebrows in surprise, so quick to leave? Thought you'd be a deadbeat?
"Oh, yes!"
Nearing the door, Reeva Lawson paused, turned back, smiled and asked, "Miss Eloise, there's something I don't understand and I wonder if I could ask you about it?" "What is it?"
"I don't see how it's a bit of a coincidence that you've come back when Solomon's been kidnapped, isn't it?"
Eloise Thompson frowned, "So what? What are you trying to say?"
Reeva Lawson's smile deepened, "Nothing. Just thought it was odd."
"There's nothing strange about it."
A low voice sounded behind Reeva Lawson.
Frightened, she turned around and it was Hector Rogers.
Reeva Lawson's face lit up with joy and her eyes lit up, "Hector."
"What are you doing here?" Hector Rogers looked at her coldly, as if she was not welcome.
Reeva Lawson was resigned, but kept her smile and softly returned, "I heard Miss Eloise was injured and hospitalised and came to see her." "Finished reading?" Hector Rogers asked.
"Huh?" Reeva Lawson didn't respond.
Hector Rogers said with some impatience, "Just watch it and go back."
The smile faded from Reeva Lawson's face.
He's kicking her out too!
Reluctant!
Really not happy about it!
She gave Eloise Thompson a sidelong sidelong glance and gritted her teeth, she was not going to make it easy for her!
With a twinkle in her eye, she suddenly smiled and asked with feigned concern, "Hector, have you caught Solomon's kidnappers?"
"It's nothing for you to worry about." Hector Rogers' sword brows knitted up in some impatience.
He was thinking that if Reeva Lawson himself didn't have the sense to walk away, then he would have to use a rush.
Eloise Thompson is expressionless in her hospital bed, but she is not at peace with herself.
What is this Reeva Lawson trying to do?
Only to hear Reeva Lawson say, "Hector, I think this Solomon kidnapping is definitely not simple, someone must be behind it."
When she said this, her eyes were on Eloise Thompson.
Anyone who is not stupid can see what she means.
Eloise Thompson sneered, dare she say all that just to say that she had Solomon kidnapped?
Hector Rogers understood too, and his handsome face sank, his tone colder than a moment before, as cold as December frost, "Are you finished? When you're done, leave."
He had been reluctant to tear his face off because they had known each other for so many years and the Rogers and Lawson families were family friends, but the more he did so, the less she, Reeva Lawson, knew how to restrain herself. Even the incident of Solomon's kidnapping, she tried to throw dirt on Eloise.
"Hector ..."
Reeva Lawson tried to say something else, but was grabbed by Hector Rogers and pushed straight out of the ward.
"Bang!"
The door slammed heavily in front of Reeva Lawson.
Reeva Lawson was shaking with anger.
This is too much!
It's really too much!
How far could he really go for that bitch!
Reeva Lawson gritted her teeth and stared at the door with hatred spilling out of her eyes!
Since he was really unforgiving, she was willing to give it up!
She will never make it easy for that bitch Eloise Thompson.
Silence returned to the ward.
Solomon jumped out of bed and said happily, "Bad Auntie has finally gone."
Eloise Thompson, who had been a little distracted, couldn't help but laugh at his words, "Solomon, do you dislike Auntie Reeva that much?"
"Not like that!" Solomon shook his head, "She's like a toad croaking and making a lot of noise!"
Looking at his disgusted face, Eloise Thompson thought he was really too cute and would have really wanted to take him into her arms if she hadn't been hurt.
Hector Rogers walked over and put the packed lunch box on the bedside table, then looked at her with a particularly serious expression, "You don't have to put into print what Reeva Lawson said." The implication is that he believes him.
Eloise Thompson's heart warmed as she smiled and said, "I know, I won't."
For someone like Reeva Lawson to care about her would have to bore herself to death.
Hector Rogers was relieved to see that she didn't think much of it, fearing that she might think more and then take the bull by the horns and choose to leave him herself.
"Have some porridge."
Hector Rogers opens the lunch box and the aroma of porridge instantly spills out.
"Grrrrr!"
Eloise Thompson's stomach growled indefensibly.
Solomon heard it, cocked his head at her and said in a serious voice, "Mummy's tummy is screaming for hunger."
Eloise Thompson felt so humiliated that her face turned red with shame.
She saw the smirk pursed at the corners of Hector Rogers' mouth and couldn't help but be slightly annoyed, "Is that funny?"
Hector Rogers laughed, "No. It's the feeling that you're real and not just me dreaming."
At these words, Eloise Thompson's anger subsided and her heart snapped a little.
"I'm sorry." She said naggingly.
The two months he had been away had done far more damage to him than he had thought.
"Let's eat." Hector Rogers didn't say anything.
He ladled the porridge with a spoon and brought it to her mouth.
Eloise Thompson was busy saying, "I'll do it myself."
Hector Rogers raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure?"
His eyes went to the gauze on her shoulder.
"Not sure." Eloise Thompson skimmed her lips, then meekly opened her mouth.
Was really hungry.
With the help of Hector Rogers, she drank the whole bowl of porridge.
"Want some more?" Hector Rogers asked.
"No, I'm full."
As she spoke, Eloise Thompson couldn't help but hiccup.
Hector Rogers couldn't help but laugh and tease, "Looks like he's not fooling anyone, he's really full."
"Bugger!" Eloise Thompson gave him a disgruntled glare.
