Love Comes To Me
Chapter 292: Estimated to have indigestion

Although Hector's mother requested it, Solomon did not comply and called Eloise Thompson Mummy as before.

At first Hector's mother hears it and reminds him, but Solomon doesn't listen.

After a long time, Hector's mother went along with him.

Consider Solomon a godmother.

Hector's mother thought so.

But Rupert Rogers mistook her acceptance of Eloise Thompson and happily said to Hector Rogers, "That's a good move, brother." "Hmm?"

"You let your sister-in-law stay at home. Mum is a hard-talker with a soft heart, and this will definitely change her attitude after spending time with her." Hector Rogers raised an eyebrow, "You think I did this on purpose?"

"Isn't it?"

"No." Hector Rogers returned blandly, "My intention was purely to have someone to look after Eloise and ..."

He paused, "Mom didn't acknowledge Eloise."

"How come? She's not..."

In Rupert Rogers' opinion, to acquiesce to Solomon shouting that much must be an admission.

"It's not that you don't know Solomon's personality; he has his own ideas like I do, so how can he change them so easily? Mum knows this too well, so she's given up." "Is that so?" Rupert Rogers wondered if it could be that his brother was overthinking things.

Hector Rogers narrowed his eyes, "It's not that easy to get Ma to admit it."

Just because he doesn't mind what happened in Eloise's past doesn't mean the rest of the Rogers family doesn't either.

It's especially hard to get the Rogers family to acknowledge Eloise when it's a matter of face!

Rupert Rogers thought for a moment and asked, "Brother, do you want to look into that matter of your sister-in-law?"

"No need." Even if he didn't explicitly say so, Hector Rogers knew which incident he was referring to, "Let bygones be bygones and don't bring it up again." "Oh." Rupert Rogers skimmed sarcastically.

"Any news from the police yet?" Hector Rogers asked.

One of Solomon's kidnappers is still at large, the same man who shot Eloise, and must be apprehended and put behind bars or his anger will not be assuaged. "No news yet. The other guy is a very good counter-detector, so I'm afraid it's going to take some time to catch him."

Hector Rogers nodded, "Let me know if you hear anything."

"Good."

...

Reeva's mother has not been to the Rogers family since she left them in a huff some time ago.

Reeva Lawson was so angry when she found out from her mother what Hector's mother meant that she couldn't eat her meal.

Since the last time Eloise Thompson was injured on the mountain, one could sense a change in Hector's mother's attitude towards her.

No longer as cordial as before, but rather a little cold.

How could they have been trying to set up Hector Rogers and that Synnove Fare if they hadn't changed their attitude?

But in spite of this, she said in front of herself that she was the most satisfactory choice for a daughter-in-law.

Reeva Lawson felt cheated and was even more upset.

So she and her mother went straight to the Rogers family, the first aim being to see that bitch Eloise Thompson, and only secondly to reconfirm Hector's mother's attitude. Hector's mother was neither warm nor cold in response to their arrival, just the right attitude, that is, treating them as if they were ordinary guests.

This made Reeva Lawson uncomfortable inside.

When she used to come to the Rogers family, Hector's mother would always take her by the hand and say something personal, and order the servants to prepare her favourite snacks. But what about now?

Reeva Lawson's gaze was sombre as she stared at the two cups of coffee on the coffee table and the cinnamon crisp next to it.

That was her most hated snack.

But Hector's mother seems to have forgotten.

It is also a good indication that she is no longer attached to herself.

At that thought, Reeva Lawson slowly squeezed her palms together, looked up, hid the gloom in her eyes, piled a smile on her face and asked, "Auntie, where's Eloise Thompson?" Hector's mother's eyes flashed slightly, "She's upstairs, what's wrong?"

"I heard she was injured and thought I'd come and see her."

Reeva Lawson is smiling as she says this and nothing looks wrong.

But Hector's mother was alert, "She's resting, so I'm afraid you won't see her today."

"Is that so? Then I've really come at a bad time. " Reeva Lawson gave a look of regret.

"You'll have to come back another day." Hector's mother said.

"Good."

Hector's mother was secretly relieved to see that she didn't push it.

I'm afraid that if she insists on seeing Eloise Thompson, something will go wrong.

She was now really scared of Reeva Lawson and the girls.

Reeva Lawson is here today specifically to see Eloise Thompson, so how can she just let it go?

So she said, "Auntie, I miss your cook's cooking, can I stay the night?"

"Huh?" Hector's mother didn't respond for a moment.

Reeva Lawson smiled shyly, "Aunty, I'm not going to lie, I really want to eat your chef's food, that's why I have the cheek to make such a request, don't laugh at me."

She said this in a way that would have made her look petty if she had not agreed.

Hector's mother smiled and said, "Stay if you want to."

How could she not see that Reeva Lawson's real reason for wanting to stay for dinner was to see Eloise Thompson?

It's true that I didn't see her clearly before and didn't know that her heart was so deep.

Reeva's mother smiled beside her and said, "Matriarch, I'll bother you tonight then."

Hector's mother smiled, a smile that didn't reach her eyes, "It won't."

...

Eloise Thompson woke up to a ringing mobile phone.

She closed her eyes and felt around beside her, felt the phone, picked it up and put it to her ear, "Hello."

"Still sleeping?"

A low, mellow voice rings in the ears.

She gave a slurred "mmm".

Hector Rogers couldn't help but curl his lips and say softly, "Don't sleep, it's time for dinner."

There was no hint of a response and she seemed to be asleep again.

He laughed helplessly, with a doting look on his face.

"I have to work late, so I won't go back for dinner tonight. You go downstairs by yourself, okay?"

Still dazed, Eloise Thompson scraped herself out of bed when she heard he wasn't coming back.

"You're not coming back?" She asked.

"Hmm. What's wrong?"

"I ..." She wanted to say that she would be uncomfortable eating alone with his parents if he didn't come back, but it was too exhausting to think that he was so busy at work and had to worry about himself that way. So the words came out as, "Not much. Just wanted to ask what time you'd be back."

"Around ten o'clock."

Eloise Thompson hung up the phone and scratched her hair in annoyance, staring up at the ceiling, she really didn't want to have dinner with Hector's parents alone.

Although Hector's parents treat her well, she is really uncomfortable and can be uncomfortable.

But there was no way to escape, so she had to go downstairs with a stiff upper lip.

But I didn't expect to see Reeva Lawson in the living room.

She froze, her gaze fixed straight on Reeva Lawson.

And the latter stood up with a smile on her face, "Miss Eloise, we meet again."

How did she get here?

Eloise Thompson was baffled.

Perhaps seeing her confusion, Hector's mother said, "Reeva is staying for dinner tonight."

Eloise Thompson raises her eyebrows in surprise, no way! She'd probably get indigestion if she had to eat with Reeva Lawson.
