Love Comes To Me
Chapter 298: Your Dad Almost Died

"Really like it?"

"Uh-huh."

Eloise Thompson nodded her head vigorously.

Hector Rogers smiled as he put his phone away and took her hand, "Let's go upstairs and have a look."

Eloise Thompson really loves the house, especially when she stands on the first floor terrace with the sea breeze blowing in her face and the vast expanse of the sea in her eyes, she is so happy that she can't stop smiling. "I really like it here." She turned her head, her beautiful eyes shining with a particular beauty as they were tinged with joy.

Hector Rogers smiled gently and lightly, "As long as you like it."

"Thank you."

Eloise Thompson rested her head on his shoulder, she felt so happy now.

Hector Rogers reached out and wrapped his arms around her, his voice gentle as he said, "If you like it, we'll move here as a family." "Moving here?"

"Hmm."

Eloise Thompson frowned; it was nice, but it was too far from the city.

How inconvenient it is for him to go to work every day and for Solomon to go to nursery.

"It's better to come and stay on the weekends." Eloise Thompson said.

Hector Rogers laughs, "All yours."

Eloise Thompson smiled at him before shifting her gaze back to the sea in the distance, tilting her face back and relaxing in the sea breeze.

It wasn't until after midnight that they headed back to the city with the intention of bringing Solomon along tomorrow weekend.

...

But plans can't catch up with change.

Hector Rogers had an impromptu meeting and asked the family driver to take Eloise Thompson and Solomon over to the beach house first. "Let's go play!"

Solomon cheered as soon as he heard he was going to the beach.

But it soon quietens down again.

He cocked his head and propped his chin on his little hand, thinking hard about something.

Eloise Thompson was packing for the next two days when she suddenly didn't hear Solomon's voice and looked up to see him deep in thought, and couldn't help but laugh, "What's on your mind?" "Mummy, can I bring my swimming costume? And also, I have to bring my tools for building sand, is that okay?"

Solomon rushed up to her, tilting his little face up and looking at her expectantly.

She touched his face and smiled, "Of course."

"Great!"

Solomon jumped for joy as he leaned over and gave her a heavy kiss on the cheek, "Thank you Mummy." Eloise Thompson instantly felt her heart melt.

Why is he so cute?

Solomon ran back to his room to get his swimming costume and the tools to build the sand, only to replace it missing. "Mummy Mummy, I've lost my swimming costume."

Solomon came running back in a hurry.

Eloise Thompson frowned, "Is it missing?"

"Well, it's gone. I can't swim at the beach anymore." Solomon's head drooped with loss.

"Mummy will help you look for it."

Unable to see him lose it, Eloise Thompson took him by the hand and walked out.

After searching the entire cloakroom, not even the corners, I still couldn't replace a Solomon swimming costume.

"Solomon, why don't we go and buy one." Eloise Thompson suggested.

Solomon's bleak little face instantly lit up, "Yes."

Eloise Thompson laughs, "Let's go then."

...

The driver drove them to the mall near City J's home.

Eloise Thompson and Solomon headed straight to the swimwear shop, thinking they'd hurry up and get their swimming costumes so they could go to the beach.

It took just ten minutes to pick out a swimming costume and pay for it.

But to my surprise, as soon as I walked out of the swimwear shop, I was with Agnes Thompson and Ela Turner.

As soon as Ela Turner saw her, she immediately rushed up in anger and raised her hand to hit her.

Luckily she reacted quickly and dodged to the side.

Seeing that she missed, Ela Turner pointed at her nose and snapped, "What are you doing back here, you little bitch? Is it because of you that your father almost died?" At that, Eloise Thompson's thin eyebrows furrowed fiercely, "What do you mean by that?"

How did her dad almost die?

Ela Turner smiled coldly, "Playing dumb?"

"I don't know anything, why am I playing dumb?"

Eloise Thompson took a deep breath and decided to ignore them, lest she make herself sick.

She took Solomon's hand and said, "Solomon, let's go."

Seeing her about to leave, Agnes Thompson rushed to stop her, "Eloise Thompson, you're not leaving today until you get your story straight."

It was only then that Eloise Thompson noticed that her stomach was already quite visible.

The hand holding Solomon involuntarily tightened, resentment and hatred welling up at the back of his mind.

She recalls the time when she was pregnant and a first-time mother looked forward to the birth of her child every day.

Even if it was for the money, she loved that child.

If it hadn't been for them back then, she wouldn't have had to be forced to separate from her children.

Agnes Thompson noticed her staring straight at her stomach with an unreadable emotion in her eyes and subconsciously turned sideways to keep her from looking. "Mummy, it hurts."

Solomon's hand was sore from the grip.

At the sound of the voice, Eloise Thompson snapped back to her senses and turned her head to look at Solomon before she realised she was holding her hand too tightly and hurriedly released it. "Solomon, I'm sorry."

Solomon shook his head, "Mummy, I'm fine."

"Mummy?" Agnes Thompson snorted out a laugh when she heard Solomon address Eloise Thompson, "Eloise Thompson, you don't want your own child but to be someone else's mother, you're really mean too." Her words immediately angered Eloise Thompson, "Agnes Thompson, you know best what happened back then."

"I'm clear about what?" Agnes Thompson put on an innocent face, "You mean about you being a surrogate for money?"

Eloise Thompson clenched her palms and stared at her with a deadly stare.

Agnes Thompson looked around at the onlookers and went on to say, "How could I have known when you were doing something so shameful? If I had known better, I would have stopped you then."

There was a lot of chatter from the crowd, all of it disparaging Eloise Thompson.

Hearing that in the past, she might have been so angry that she would have fought with Agnes Thompson.

But she has a change of heart now.

All energy mind should be wasted on people who deserve it, not some cats and dogs.

Eloise Thompson took a deep breath, raised her lips in a smile and asked, "Finished?"

Seeing her unmoved, Agnes Thompson frowned and stared at her suspiciously, why was this bitch so calm? How about not retorting a few times?

Eloise Thompson looked over at Ela Turner, "You better get your story straight, why did my dad almost die? And ..."

She shifted her gaze to Agnes Thompson and sneered, "Don't presume to irritate me with what happened back then, it's useless. I was scared before, so I tried to hide it. But now I'm not afraid, you can say what you want, whatever you want." Her greatest fear was that Hector Rogers would know about it, but he already knew and she had nothing to fear.

And she didn't steal or rob, she didn't do anything illegal, she was open and honest, she wasn't afraid of people talking behind her back.

"You!"

Seeing that she could not be influenced, Agnes Thompson's face turned hard and she gritted her teeth in anger.

"If there's nothing else, I'll leave you to it."

Eloise Thompson really didn't want to waste time with them and took Solomon in her stride.
