Love Comes To Me
Chapter 305: She had a miscarriage

The black Land Rover sped down the road, running several red lights in quick succession, with the traffic police chasing after it. "Pull over the car in front of you!"

Outside the car, traffic police kept shouting, but Rupert ignored them.

His face was stony as he stared at the road ahead.

"Damn!"

He pulled off his Bluetooth headset and slammed it hard on the passenger seat.

His brother's phone has been out of order, even Thomas'.

What exactly is it that you are working on?

The grip on the steering wheel couldn't help but tighten, and his face became increasingly ugly.

Shouting -

The car pulled up in front of the hospital and Rupert opened the door and got out, the man was just about to walk towards the hospital.

The police car that was following him also stopped and two traffic policemen got out of it, who ran over and stopped him.

"Mr...."

No sooner had the other man spoken than Rupert interrupted him, "I'm in a hurry and I don't have time to listen to you. Here's my card, contact me later."

He pulled a business card out of his pocket and slipped it into the other man's hand before walking around them and moving forward.

The two traffic cops looked at the business card, then looked at each other and went after them again.

"Sir!"

Rupert could only stop again and turned his head, annoyed, and yelled at them, "My sister-in-law is in resuscitation, can't you be more accommodating?" The two traffic cops were frozen.

Rupert stopped paying attention to them and ran straight into the hospital.

Guided by the nurse, Rupert made his way to the door of the operating theatre.

"She fell down the stairs, hit her head on the wall and passed out."

The nurse told Rupert the situation and he listened with a fierce frown, "Is that serious?"

"Concussion, but not very serious. The more problematic thing now is that the baby in the injured person's stomach was not saved."

Rupert was relieved to hear that it wasn't serious, but the nurse's next words brought his heart to his throat.

"Wait, you ... re saying that my sister-in-law is pregnant."

"Well, it should be just over a month and the doctor is in the process of clearing her."

How did this happen?

Rupert was in shock and disbelief, and suddenly he didn't know what to tell his brother about it.

...

Late night.

Hector hasn't slept since he was awakened by a nightmare.

The heart is inexplicably flustered.

I don't know if it's because of the nightmares or if something is going on..

It is now daytime in the country.

Hector thought for a moment, then picked up his phone and called Eloise.

The line was quickly picked up.

"Brother, why does your phone keep ringing off the hook?"

An unexpected voice came over the receiver and his brow furrowed, "Where's Eloise?"

"Something's happened to my sister-in-law. I've been calling you and can't get through."

When he heard that something had happened to Eloise, Hector's face changed instantly and he didn't pay attention to what his brother said afterwards, asking hastily, "What happened?" Rupert told him the whole truth, and when he had heard it, his face was extremely ugly and sunken as if it were hardened with poison.

"Rupert, take care of her for me, I'll be right back."

"Good."

Hanging up the phone, Hector immediately went out and knocked on the door of the next room.

Not long after, the door opened and Thomas took a look at him and hurriedly lifted his spirits, "President."

"Book the fastest flight back home." Hector said.

Thomas was amazed, "Aren't things still unresolved? Why are we going back?"

"Something's happened to Eloise."

At those words, Thomas looked aghast, "Yes, I'll book a flight."

Hector went back to his room, packed his bags and sat down to wait for Thomas.

Ten minutes later, Thomas hurried in.

"President, six o'clock is the earliest flight and I've booked the tickets." Thomas glanced at his wristwatch and continued, "We'll leave for the airport now, just in time for ticket check." Hector got up, "Go."

...

"I heard the woman had a miscarriage."

Agnes hides in the toilet and calls Reeva.

"She's pregnant?" Reeva was a little surprised.

"Yeah. That's karma!" Agnes hated.

That bitch caused the loss of her baby and now her own, it really is payback.

"So what's the situation now?" Reeva asked.

"It's been taken to the ward, the person hasn't woken up yet."

At this point, a sinister glint surfaced in Agnes' eyes, "Why do you think she didn't just drop dead?"

Reeva on the other side of the phone sneered, "Bitch's life is just hard."

The last time I fell down the hill, I was only injured and I was fine.

Life really is hard enough.

"What do we do now?" Agnes asked.

"You delete all your phone records, don't contact me for a while, and if anyone from the Rogers family replaces you, just say you don't know anything about it."

In fact, Agnes knew how to do all this without Reeva explaining it.

She hung up the phone and sat on the toilet again for a while before getting up and opening the door to go out.

"Agnes, what's taking you so long to go to the bathroom?"

Ela watched her come out and asked with an uncomfortable frown.

Agnes went over and sat on the edge of the bed, looked at her and asked, "Mum, how's the bitch?"

"What else, the baby is gone and the man is still in a coma."

At this point, Ela couldn't help but laugh out loud, "Agnes, do you think the Lord couldn't see it coming and taught him a lesson for us?"

Agnes grunted, "This is retribution."

"Yes, it's retribution." Ela chimed in.

The thought of that bitch being miserable was a great relief to Ela, and the resentment of the past few days was relieved.

...

After the operation, Eloise was taken to the ward.

Her face was pale and her lips had no hint of blood, and if it weren't for the heartbeat and blood pressure displayed on the monitor, one could really mistake her for lifeless. Rupert stood beside the bed, his handsome face so dark it was dripping ink.

According to those who witnessed her sister-in-law's fall down the stairs, a man's voice was heard, but they went after her and did not see anyone.

That means it wasn't an accident, but someone trying to harm his sister-in-law.

The first thing he did was to have someone check the surveillance video of the hospital, but unfortunately, the surveillance had been tampered with and there was no sign of his sister-in-law other than the fact that she was seen coming into the hospital.

This proves that he was right to think.

Someone is trying to harm your sister-in-law!

But who is it?

"Mr Rupert," a man walked in, came over to Rupert and whispered something in his ear.

Rupert turned his head, "Is Agnes in this hospital too?"

"Hmm." The man nodded.

Rupert narrowed his eyes, a deep look in them. He had been wondering what his sister-in-law was doing in this hospital, but now it seemed that Agnes had something to do with it. "Where is she?"

"It's downstairs in the ward."

Rupert looked at Eloise on the hospital bed with the oxygen mask on and his brow furrowed slightly as he turned to the man, "You stay here and keep me informed."

"Yes." The man bowed his head respectfully.

Rupert turns and strides away.
