Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 313: Held hostage by thugs
A month or so pregnant?
Lost in the fall?
Eloise's heart felt like it was being gripped hard by an invisible hand, and subconsciously she reached for her flat stomach.
Somehow, she had a vague feeling that ... Ela was telling the truth.
"Wait!"
Eloise made a noise to stop the bouncer from dragging the man away and then walked up to Ela.
"You repeat what you just said."
Ela looked at her with pity, "Eloise, you're pathetic. I can't believe you don't even know you're without a baby, and pity the one that hasn't even taken shape for over a month." Eloise clenched her palms, pushed down the fear in her heart and tried to calm down, "Ela, do you think I believe your words?"
"Since you walked over here, don't you believe me?" Ela had a smug look on her face.
Eloise didn't make a sound, just stared at her for a while before ordering her bodyguard to remove her.
"Eloise, this is retribution, retribution! You caused Agnes to lose her baby, and now you've lost your own, isn't that painful? Hahahaha... great pleasure!"
Eloise turned and headed for the ward, Ela's shrill voice coming from behind her, her fingertips hanging at her side unable to stop trembling lightly, her face a little pale.
If Ela had made up the lie to provoke her on purpose, there was really no need to go to such lengths.
But... she couldn't accept that as true.
She was in the last hospital at the time and when Ela came to see her, she wanted to tell her about it, I guess.
Only Hector happened to speak up to stop her and shooed them away.
Think carefully.
Eloise's pace unconsciously quickened and she had to call and ask for Hector.
She needs to know the truth of the matter.
Just as she was about to turn into the room, a man suddenly sprang out and grabbed her hand.
She screamed out in terror and turned her head to see that it was the thug.
Fear instantly crawled across her palm-sized cheeks.
"Let me go! Let go of me!" Eloise struggled hard.
But the disparity in strength between men and women, coupled with the fact that her body had not yet recovered and was weak, made it impossible for her to break the other woman's shackles. The man dragged her into the ward and threw her hard to the ground.
"Ah!"
Eloise fell heavily to the ground.
But not caring about the pain, he hurriedly got up and rushed to the window while the man turned to lock the door.
The men saw it and rushed towards her with quick eyes.
Only Eloise was quick and had climbed up to the window as the men rushed over, one foot outside and one foot inside.
"If you come over here, I'll jump." She couldn't care less about her fear and threatened with feigned composure.
The man could only stop moving and stare at her with a grim face.
Slightly relieved that he didn't move on, Eloise then spoke up and asked, "What exactly do you want?"
Her question enraged the man and he yelled at her viciously, "Blame it on your bad luck!"
He said, rushing up to tug her again.
Eloise saw the man rushing towards her and turned to jump, but he was quicker and pulled her off the ledge with one hand. "Bang..."
At the same time, the two bodyguards who had heard Eloise's voice outside the door suddenly kicked in the door and, seeing Eloise pinned underneath the man, their faces flushed and they asked in a stern voice, "Who are you?" Unperturbed, the man climbed to his feet and pulled Eloise up as well, pulling a retractable fruit knife from his pocket and holding it to her neck.
The moment they saw the knife, the two bodyguards' faces fell.
"Get Hector here or I'll kill her!" The man yelled at the bouncer.
The bodyguard dared not delay for a moment and rushed to call Hector.
Hector took the lift to the underground car park and the phone rang just as the lift arrived.
When he picked up, the panicked voice of the bodyguard came through, "Mr Hector, Miss Eloise is being held hostage by that mugger who wants to see you!"
At that, Hector's face changed, he cut off the phone and ran towards the car.
Opening the door and getting into the car, starting it up, was a quick series of movements.
The car sped out of the underground car park.
A nearly twenty-minute drive from Rogers Group to the hospital took Hector only ten minutes to get there.
He ran wildly down the corridor, ignoring the strange looks cast around him.
Eloise will be fine.
Hector arrived to see Eloise with a knife to her neck, the hands that had fallen to her side clenched fiercely.
Suppressing the panic in his heart, he looked at the thug, his gaze was cold and his thin lips moved, "What is your request?"
The gangster didn't expect him to be so direct at first, he froze, then reacted with a few laughs, "Mr Hector sure is a quick one."
Hector stared straight at him without looking at Eloise for fear that if he did he would show panic and that would be tantamount to exposing his weakness to the thugs.
The moment the knife was first put to her neck, Eloise was scared and panicked, but quickly calmed down, not wanting to worry Hector by crying and whining.
She had to remain calm and reassure him to surround himself with thugs.
"I want you to let my brothers go immediately and give us a sum of money to leave City J."
The thugs made their demands.
"Okay, I promise." Hector agreed without saying a word.
Then he called the police in front of the thugs and asked them to let the kidnappers go.
He then contacted his assistant again and asked him to replace a way to get a million dollars in cash from the bank and bring it to the hospital.
Having done so, Hector looked to the outlaw and asked, expressionlessly, "Is that all right?"
The thug burst out laughing, "Mr Hector is quick. But the man will not be released until I see the man and the money. And get me a car, I want an SUV." "Good."
Hector still readily agreed.
After about half an hour or so, Thomas hurried into the ward with his case.
Startled by what he saw in front of him, Hector's assistant quickly calmed down and walked quickly to Hector's side, whispering, "President, the one million has been taken out." Hector didn't say anything, just gave him a wink.
Thomas took heart and carried the case a few steps away from the mugger, then opened it, "Here's a million."
The thug looked away, "Order it all over in front of me."
"This..." Thomas turned his head to Hector with difficulty.
Seeing this, the thug said in a vicious voice, "I don't believe you, who knows if this box is full of money or if the top layer is money and the bottom is full of scrap paper." "Point!"
On Hector's orders, Thomas put the boxes on the floor and took the money out in bundles and yarded them up.
"That's a hundred bundles, so look closely." Thomas yarded it and raised his eyes to the outlaw.
After counting silently, the thug said, "Load it up."
Thomas twitched his eyebrows and would have thrown the money in his face if he hadn't had Miss Eloise in his possession. What a bully!
After the money was loaded, Hector's mobile phone suddenly rang.
He stared soberly at the thugs before picking up the phone.
After listening to the person on the other end of the phone, he hung up and said, "The man has been released and is downstairs."
