Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 315: One Dead, Three Wounded
With a start, Eloise rose from Hector and hurriedly turned her head, only to see Rupert on the floor, blood slowly seeping out from under him. "What's going on?"
Eloise's eyes were wide and full of panic and confusion.
"Eloise."
At the sound of a voice, Eloise turned around.
"Help me up." Hector was still a little unsettled from the fall on the hard ground he had just used as a meat cushion.
Eloise reacted to this and hurriedly helped him to his feet.
Hector took her by the hand and walked over to Rupert with a stern look on his face. Looking at the blood on the floor, Eloise subconsciously grabbed Hector's arm. What is this all about?
Rupert was taken to the resuscitation room.
It was only after Hector's statement that Eloise realised that the assailant had come over in his car to hit them.
It was Rupert who rushed up and pushed them away.
However, he himself was unable to dodge and was brushed by the car, which also crushed his leg.
At the time she was in a state of complete confusion and had no idea what was going on or that she was scared.
It was only now, after hearing what Hector had said, that she recoiled.
"Where are the thugs?" She asked.
"One dead, three wounded, all in hospital with police watching."
The incident occurred at a very high speed and the car veered off course after brushing against Rupert. The assailant tried to swerve too late and crashed directly into a street light pole on the side of the road. The driver died on the spot and the three remaining suffered minor and serious injuries.
Eloise couldn't help but feel a sigh of relief that the thug was still trying to escape with the money, not realising that Hector had already arranged with the police for a crew and they would never escape City J. "Is the man badly hurt?" Eloise was asking about the thug who was holding herself hostage.
"It's not heavy. Sanity is clear."
"And did he explain anything?" Eloise pressed anxiously.
She wanted to know if it was Agnes who was trying to harm her or not.
Reading her mind, Hector said in a quiet voice, "It's Agnes."
Eloise was still a little chilled by the indescribable feeling that came over her and the lack of a sneer between her eyebrows, "It's really her."
She slowly squeezed her palms together, her face a little sullen, just how many wrongs did Agnes have to do before she would give up? "Did she admit it?"
"She hasn't been confronted yet."
Eloise was silent for a moment, then said, "I'll come with you."
She must hear Agnes admit to what she has done with her own ears.
Hector nodded, "Good."
...
After an operation lasting several hours, Rupert was finally taken out of the operating theatre.
"Rupert!"
Hector's parents and Hector and Eloise all greeted them.
"The patient's anesthesia hasn't worn off yet." The doctor said.
"Doctor, how is my son? Is there anything wrong?" Hector's mother asked urgently.
"Apart from a leg injury and a little bleeding in the lungs, there's nothing serious anywhere else."
Hector's mother was still distraught and tears were falling down her face.
Eloise looked on and gagged.
Rupert was injured to save them, and in the end it was because of her.
The thought of it made her feel guilty and self-conscious.
It was as if she never did anything but cause them trouble.
Rupert was taken to the ward, with Hector's parents at his bedside.
Eloise tried to say something a few times, but when she saw Hector's mother wiping away her tears, she didn't have the courage to say anything. "You don't have to blame yourself." Hector squeezed the palm of her hand and whispered in her ear.
She turned her head to look at him in surprise, how did he know what she was thinking.
"It's written all over your heart."
Eloise's nostrils flared and she hurriedly turned her head sideways, taking a deep breath to hold back her tears.
Only then did he look at him again, "Do your parents blame me?"
"It won't be." Hector gave her a reassuring smile, "How could they blame you?"
His parents had had a hard time accepting her and she was really afraid of going back to the old attitude.
"Don't get your head in the clouds." Hector stroked her head.
Eloise nods her head.
...
On the other hand, Reeva learns that the assailant is injured and hospitalised, but in the meantime is under police control.
Her whole body felt like it had lost its strength as she dropped into a chair, muttering with a wooden expression, "It's over, it's really over."
Magen walked in, saw her like this and rushed up, asking anxiously, "Reeva, are you alright?"
At the sound of his voice, Reeva slowly looked up, "Magen ..."
Tears flowed down my face.
"What's wrong with you?" Magen instantly panicked, wiping her tears with his hands and feet as he said, "I told you, I'll help you, no matter what." "Magen!" said Reeva, suddenly grabbing his hand and saying sharply, "Take me abroad."
"Out of the country?" Magen frowned.
"Well, never come back."
Reeva thought that if she left City J, Hector would not deal with the Lawson family.
"This..." Magen hesitated; after all, the Gillim family's business is all at home.
"And you said you'd help me no matter what." Reeva shrugged off his hand in exasperation and looked away from him not wanting to look at him. Seeing this, Magen couldn't be bothered to think deeply and nodded, "Yes, I'll take you abroad."
Seeing him say yes, Reeva immediately beamed with joy and turned her head into his arms, "Magen, you're so sweet."
Magen is a little smoky when she is in the arms of a sweet and soft woman.
"As long as you're happy."
He didn't notice Reeva in his arms ticking up with a smug smile.
She will come back when she has escaped this time abroad.
She wouldn't just leave Eloise alone.
...
Meanwhile, Agnes is smiling, the corners of her mouth grinning from ear to ear.
"Agnes, you've been laughing for an hour or two, it's time to take a break."
Ela walked in with her dinner and, seeing her still laughing, couldn't help but speak up to persuade her.
Agnes turned her head to look at her, "Mum, do you think that bitch is crying out in pain right now? Is she devastated? Just the thought of her in pain makes me feel better physically and mentally, and all the pent up anger I've had for so many days has finally dissipated."
Putting the thermos down, Ela thought back on the situation and grimaced disdainfully, "That bitch said she didn't believe me, but in her heart she already did. If I hadn't been kicked out, I would have loved to see her in pain with my own eyes."
"Mum, why don't we all go and see her tomorrow." Agnes suggested.
She really wanted to see Eloise in pain with her own eyes.
Ela frowned, "But there are bouncers guarding the place, we can't even get in."
Agnes snorted coldly, "Hector kept her so well protected, and it wasn't because she knew the truth about the miscarriage."
What upset her the most was that Hector was so attached to that bitch Eloise. And what about her?
Robbie excused himself from visiting her because he was busy with work.
When she gets better, she will definitely come after him.
Ela knew what she was thinking and said, "Don't think too much about it, I've asked your dad and Robbie is really busy."
