Chapter 344: Can I come with you?

On the way back, Eloise looked a little downcast, and had no desire to continue playing because of what had just happened.

She tugged at Hector's sleeve and said, "Hector let's go back, I'm a bit tired."

"Good." Hector answered softly.

Knowing that what had just happened would affect Eloise to a greater or lesser extent, he slung Solomon over his shoulder and headed back to the hotel. Solomon still had some fun, but looking at Mummy who was indeed a little tired, he kept quiet, but it was the happiest day he had ever had.

Back at the hotel, Eloise briefly washed up Solomon and fell asleep in bed with him in her arms.

Hector went outside to buy pastries and returned, relieved to see the duo asleep.

Walking over to the bed, he carefully tucked the pair in and lay down beside Eloise to sleep.

The sleeping Eloise felt the heat around her and moved towards it, and Hector looked at her sleeping face as a child and held her tightly in his arms. "Knock, knock, knock."

I don't know how long I had been asleep when a knock came at the door and Eloise woke up very reluctantly from her slumber.

Eloise wanted to get out of bed and open the door, but the man's hands were gripping her waist and she had to push, and Hector looked at Eloise with sleepy eyes and a puzzled expression. "Hector, there's a knock on the door, I'm going to have a look."

"No go."

Hector, who had been woken up with a very ugly face, pouted like a small child and did not let go in the slightest.

But the knocking on the door continued, which put Eloise in a difficult position.

"Hector, I'm just going to check it out, I'll be back soon, just in case it really is something important, don't make a scene yet."

It was only after Eloise's gentle assault that Hector eased her out of bed.

When Eloise opened the door, she found the doctors from the previous hospital standing outside and was a little confused as to what they were doing over.

"Hello miss, it was our fault for disturbing your rest, but the girl who was brought in this afternoon woke up and has been clamouring to see you as a couple." One of the doctors said, rather apologetically. "No go." A cold voice came out, only to see Hector walking out with a bland look on his face.

Walking over to Eloise's side and shielding her, Hector had become extremely wary after so many years in the mall.

"Mr Hector, I know it's our fault for disturbing you, but the girl seems to have suffered a blow to the head and her memory is a bit disturbed, remembering only you and your wife.

Hearing the doctor's words, Hector got a little annoyed and said bluntly, "I said no, your hospital and the police contact her family."

The doctor was a little embarrassed after being rejected outright.

Eloise tugged on Hector's coat and said, "Let's just go and have a look, just as a good deed."

It was only after Eloise spoke that Hector's face softened considerably.

At the hospital, the pair were taken to the girl's ward, where she cowered timidly in the corner of the bed, looking around at the medical staff with a defensive look on her face.

At the sight of Eloise, the girls leaned towards them as if they had caught a lifeline.

She carefully grabbed Eloise's hand and said, "Sister, thank you for saving me."

Eloise couldn't help but frown when she caught her, she pulled out without a trace and said lightly, "No need to thank me, you need to cooperate with the doctor now, so if there's nothing else I'll leave you to it." Hearing that she was leaving, the girl quickly grabbed her sleeve and said, "Sister, I don't know anyone and I don't remember anything now, can I follow you first, I ... am afraid."

Eloise could not help but feel compassionate at the sight of her body shaking a little.

On second thought, they were returning home tomorrow, and bringing an unknown person back with them was bound to be less of a problem, not to mention that Eloise didn't want to cause Hector any trouble. I had to refuse straight away, "I'm sorry, I can't take you, I'm leaving soon, if you need anything the police will help you."

The girl's head dropped at her words, lost in thought.

Looking at her, Eloise couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed as she took out a piece of paper and wrote her number on it and handed it to the girl.

"Here's my number, you can call me if you have any problems."

The girl was delighted and thanked, "Thank you, sister!"

Eloise did not stay long and left the hospital with Hector.

She did not take it to heart and treated it as a minor incident of her trip.

The next day, the family got on an early flight home.

"Grandma!"

Once out of the car, Solomon darted into the arms of Hector's mother.

"Eww my Solomon beyo!" Hector's mother took Solomon straight into her arms and couldn't let go.

"How was it, Eloise, did you have a good time the last few days?" Hector's mother asked with concern.

"Auntie, we had a great time." Eloise replied sweetly.

"I say brother, sister-in-law you guys are too ungrateful to go out and play by yourselves, completely forgetting about me as a brother?"

As we speak, Rupert's voice comes in and he hears that after the trio got off the plane today, Rupert could no longer stay in the hospital and was discharged straight away.

Looking at him limping, Eloise couldn't help but laugh, "Sure, next time you take your girlfriend and we'll go out together."

"Good idea." Hector's mother chimed in.

Hearing the duo's words, Rupert hastened to wail, "Sister-in-law, be kind, don't be a matchmaker like Mum, I don't want to go to my grave so early."

The words were followed by a few giggles.

Watching them play, Hector couldn't help but feel a lot more relaxed, and thinking that there must be a lot of things for him to take care of at the company, he inquired, "Dad, how is the company going now?" Hector's father thought for a moment and said, "The company is running fine, but there are still some documents that need your personal signature."

"Good, then I'll finish tonight."

Although the company is being run by Hector's father these days, the president is ultimately Hector, and naturally it is not up to him.

After dinner, Hector dove into his study and Eloise, knowing that he must have a lot to do, consciously stayed out of the way.

Rupert entered the study on crutches after the meal, and seeing Rupert, Hector inquired, without looking up, "What is it?"

"Brother, the news came back from the research institute abroad, saying that the chip that was developed earlier is almost finished, and the perfected information has been sent to my email, but it seems that someone wants to snatch it." Rupert said with some seriousness.
