Chapter 348: Hurry up and fight

This was the fastest punch in the face ever. Darline knew what it was like to mess with the Rogers family and looked to Dougal for help. Dougal walked stiffly up to Rupert and made amends, "Mr Rupert, it was an oversight on our part, and we ask that you can forgive us." Rupert grunted and ignored Dougal, much to his embarrassment.

Dougal had to pull Darline over behind him, signalling that she had caused her own trouble and would deal with it herself.

Woe betide the likes of Darline.

Darline was already shaking with fear when she heard it was the Rogers family, so how could she handle such a big scene when the aura emanating from Hector's mother alone already made her afraid to speak. How could she have ever imagined that Aisly, a bitch, would hook up with such a big shot?

When Dougal saw that she did not speak, he gave Darline another strong tug and said with a smile on his lips, "Mr Rupert, we really know that we were wrong, I will definitely keep her under control in the future, just please be generous and forgive us."

Darline followed suit, "Yes, yes, yes, Mr Rupert, it was my mistake to contradict you, and I hope you will not take it personally."

At their words, Rupert's anger, which had just gone down, flared up again and he looked at them with a sneer and a chill in his voice.

"You don't care? How about you slap yourself twice and I'll let you go when I'm satisfied?"

Rupert stared straight at Darline, his words full of intimidation.

Darline smiled, her face brushed white, since she was a child, she had been the jewel of the family, no one had ever hit her.

At this point Rupert actually offered such a punishment, which she naturally was unwilling and unable to do.

Seeing no movement from Darline, Rupert lazily added, "What, no? Don't blame me then, you should know what happens when you mess with me."

Rupert plays with the phone in his hand, his tone already revealing his impatient attitude.

Darline didn't know what would happen if he pissed off Rupert, so naturally he wasn't that afraid, but Dougal knew that Rupert wasn't to be messed with.

In business circles Rupert is known as the 'smiling tiger' and he will not rest until he has lost all his money.

By now Rupert was on the verge of fury, and Dougal didn't want to get caught in the crossfire, so he advised, "Do as Mr Rupert says and fight!"

"What did you say?!"

Hearing Dougal's words, Darline looked at Dougal with a disbelieving look on his face, very upset.

Usually this man has always been obedient to himself, but I never thought that he would say something like this today.

Looking at Darline's hesitation to make a move, Rupert became a little impatient.

He pointed at Dougal and said, "Since your girlfriend can't lay a hand on you, you do it."

When Darline heard this, she looked at Dougal even more in disbelief, she couldn't believe that this man would actually strike herself.

Just as Dougal hesitated, Rupert spoke again.

"My patience is limited, get a grip, if I'm late, I can't guarantee that your two companies will be okay."

When he heard this Dougal dared not hesitate to raise his hand and slap Darline twice.

'Slap' two crisp thuds rang through the jewellery shop and everyone in the room froze, Aisly didn't expect Dougal to actually hit Darline's body.

Darline was equally stunned that she had been so humiliated in front of so many people.

"AHHHH!!!"

Covering his already red cheeks, Darline broke down and shouted.

It was very hard for Dougal to hit Darline, but she knew that now was not the time to feel sorry for her, and that the main thing to do was to make that rightful owner take his anger off.

He turned to Rupert and inquired in a supplicating tone, "Mr Rupert, will you see that this is all right?"

Rupert didn't buy it at all. He said in a harsh voice, "Haven't you eaten? And you expect me to forgive you? Where is your sincerity?"

Dougal smiled and had to give Darline a few more slaps, which instantly swelled up her face, but she didn't dare say anything at all.

It was only then that she realised how terrible Rupert was, and she felt remorse in her heart, but this hatred was all directed at Aisly, the bitch who had humiliated her so much, and who she would not spare in the future. Seeing that Darline's face was already swollen, Rupert raised his hand and spoke, "Go away, and don't ever appear in my presence again, and don't mess with Aisly again, or I'll punish you every time I see you." Dougal sniffed and hastily assisted Darline out of the way.

After the pair left, the shop assistants hastened to wrap the jade bracelet, as they dared to neglect the god and could naturally see the place Aisly held in Mr Rupert's heart.

The manager personally handed over the jade bracelet to Aisly and offered to sell it to her at a low price.

After paying, Aisly went outside the shop and found the three waiting for her outside, she rushed over to Rupert and thanked him, "Rupert thank you."

At this point Rupert turned back into that foppish rich kid and waved his hand, "Thanks for nothing, it's just a hand up, I always hate people who are particularly arrogant when their mistress is on top." Hearing this, Aisly was a little embarrassed.

Eloise smiled at this and said, "Miss Aisly, we meet again, I didn't get to introduce myself last time, I'm Eloise."

Eloise's voice was soft and friendly as she held out her hand, Aisly was somewhat flattered to shake it as she politely replied, "Hi Sister Eloise, I'm Aisly."

She remembered that the last time Rupert had been hospitalised, this woman had visited him, accompanied by an even more handsome man, so she must be the sister-in-law Rupert had been talking about. Hector's mother sniffed at the little girl, not feeling much for her, after all, she was the one who had slept in her son's bed the last time.

"It's getting late, so I won't keep you from shopping, so I'll leave you to it."

Aisly is still a bit upset about disturbing people and plans to leave first.

But Eloise took her hand and said, "I don't suppose Miss Aisly has eaten yet, it's just about noon, we can have a meal together."

Eloise could tell from the look in Rupert's eyes that this little nurse should be more than a friend to him, so naturally she would set the two up and how she would let the little nurse go first. "This..."
