Chapter 376: Kiss until you say so

Hector's mother laughed, "Obviously you were so engrossed that you didn't see me coming."

Of course Rupert could hear what Hector's mother was saying, but he didn't want to be upfront about it, so he just played it safe and passed. When he saw Hector's mother coming, Aisly made a casual excuse to go out, leaving them to talk about family matters in their minds.

As soon as Eloise came out, she saw Hector's anxious figure, and the sight of him made her feel that all her grievances were nothing at this moment. "Hector," she called out, and went straight to him.

Hector hurriedly reached out and wrapped his arms around her, holding her for a while before asking in a soft voice, "How are you, are you hurt?" Eloise just shook her head because she was tired and said, "I'm fine, it's good to see you."

Hector was relieved to hear her say that, and then even more distressed to hear her say it.

Hector's arms around her were noticeably stronger, wanting to rub her into his bones and blood.

Eloise shook her head, "No, I'm just startled."

Although she had heard that all of Hector's paths had not been smooth and he was often missed, she had always been well protected, and this time she was facing it all by herself, so naturally she still had palpitations. When he heard her say this, Hector was even more distressed. This was the person he had put at the top of his heart, how could she be scared by others for no reason.

Because he was afraid that she would be left with some kind of psychological shadow, Hector hurriedly promised, "It won't happen next time, don't be afraid, okay?"

Although Eloise should have been fine after hearing his words and assurances, she couldn't have been unsettled by Marian's words.

But for fear that Hector would think too much of it, she nodded.

Seeing Eloise's nod, Hector dragged her to the office.

Once she arrived at the office, Eloise went straight to the department and did not go to the office with Hector.

Hector looked at her back and felt uncomfortable.

She seemed... unhappy.

But Hector was too busy at the moment to take care of Eloise's feelings all the time, so he stepped out to ask her about it, but he was afraid it would take him a long time to get there and things would pile up in the office. Perhaps he was overthinking things.

In the evening, Hector looked at the unfinished paperwork in front of him and said to himself, "I'm afraid I'll have to work late again today. Thinking about it, he was afraid that Eloise would be waiting for him at the office, so he sent her a message to ask her to go home first. However, he did not receive a reply.

When Hector arrived home, he saw Eloise playing with Solomon while Hector's mother watched and occasionally exchanged words with them.

When she saw Hector coming home, Hector's mother said, "Hector, have you eaten yet? There are dishes left in the dining room."

Hearing Hector's mother ask, Hector felt a little hungry, so he nodded honestly and went straight to the dining room.

When he came out after eating, Eloise was no longer in the living room.

Puzzled, Hector rushed out to look for her, not realising that Eloise was actually in Solomon's room.

"And then the prince and the princess lived happily ever after." Eloise closed the book and looked at Solomon, who was already sleepy at the moment, and listened to her as if she was going to fall asleep the next moment. "Eloise," Hector called out, softly.

Eloise ignored him and instead tried to lift Solomon's blanket and sleep with him.

Seeing her act like this, Hector was sure that she was in a bad mood.

He just didn't understand why she was so scared after all they had been through together, just being tracked down.

As Eloise was about to sleep in Solomon's room, Hector couldn't stay calm any longer and went over to her, picked her up and carried her to his room.

Eloise struggled a little, but because she was afraid of waking Solomon up, she stopped struggling until she got back to her room and said, "I want to sleep with Solomon." Hector said with some resentment, "You've been with him for so long, can't you stay with me now?"

Eloise didn't say anything.

"Eloise, tell me the truth, what's going on?" Hector thought about everything that had happened today and still couldn't figure it out for himself, so he had to ask out loud. Eloise still didn't say anything.

Hector couldn't take it anymore, so he took Eloise's face and kissed her until she couldn't breathe, and then he said, "If you don't tell me today, I'll kiss you until you do." Dazed by his kiss, Eloise couldn't take it anymore and had to tell him exactly what she was thinking.

"I feel so useless, when it comes to things like this, there's nothing I can do."

Hearing her out, Hector's heart fluttered, he didn't expect her to be upset because of this problem, what a little fool.

He just gently put his arm around her, then whispered, "If you can handle it, what do you need me for? I got you for protection, don't worry, I won't let you get hurt." Eloise nestled in her arms and nodded gently.

But he seemed to be afraid that she would think too much and continued, "Let's make a pact, no one can break it. If you're going anywhere in the future, remember to keep me informed so that I know what you're doing at all times, so that if anything happens, I'll be the first to know. Something like Solomon being kidnapped and you being seriously injured before, I never want to see that again."

Seemingly sensing Hector's true feelings, Eloise also opened her heart and then nodded, "Then we have a deal."

Then Hector said with a wicked smile on his face, "Now that we've said our piece, let's finish what we need to do."

As soon as the words left her mouth, before Eloise could even react, Hector's kiss fell.

As the kiss deepened, Eloise felt her clothes being removed at some point.
