Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 446: Dating wild men
On this day, Eloise was busy at work when her mobile phone suddenly rang.
It's Egbert on the phone.
Eloise was a little surprised when she received his call and enquired, "Why is Alumni calling me out of the blue, is there something wrong?"
"It's my birthday and there's a party tonight, are you free to attend?" Egbert's nice voice came through.
"Of course I'm going to be there for Alumni's birthday, and I'm bringing you a present." Eloise said jokingly.
For Alumni, she has always been a great admirer.
What's more, Egbert was her saviour, and without him, she would certainly not be the person she is now. When Eloise said this, she didn't deliberately avoid Marian, so the call was overheard in its entirety.
Beside her Marian couldn't help but frown, even as she looked at Eloise with a bit of disdain in her eyes.
The eyes are so straightforward and revealing that it's hard to read them.
"Who was that on the phone with you just now? Don't you know you should avoid suspicion?" Marian clasped his hands to his chest and looked at Eloise condescendingly, as if he was trying to crush her in aura.
This smug remark made Eloise a little warm and angry, and her tone became a little cold, "What business is it of yours? Just do your job."
"Heh." Marian grunted, feeling that he had caught Eloise in the act.
She intensified: "You went out behind the prince's back to steal a man, what do you think would happen to him if I told him? Would he abandon you? Not to mention that you tried to go out and date wild men while he was away!" Marian opens and closes his mouth with a wild man to describe Egbert.
Eloise's anger followed suit and she wanted to just blow Marian out of the room.
"Even with Hector here, I'm still clean, and besides Egbert isn't the wild man you describe. Not to mention that my man doesn't even care about me, so who are you? Hector didn't send you here to talk about me."
At that, Marian even snorted coldly, "I was just trying to tell you that I hope you'll learn to respect yourself, trying to remind you nicely, and you actually scolded me!"
Eloise sneered, "Please, where am I not being self-respectful? Say it so I can correct it."
Marian's otherwise nimble mouth suddenly stuck, wanting to say something but unable to do so. There is really no such thing as a lack of self-respect, and Marian has nothing to say in response. Knowing that Marian is just looking at her herself, Eloise doesn't continue to hang around Marian. Straight back to the house.
Eloise was choosing clothes in her bedroom when a milky voice rang out, "Mummy."
Solomon came in from outside the house, staring wide-eyed at Eloise who was picking out her clothes, and asked, "Is Mummy going to Uncle Odd's party, Solomon wants to go too." Eloise felt a little funny when she heard Solomon say the title "weird uncle" and burst out laughing.
Seeing Eloise still smiling, Solomon jumped right into Eloise's arms and tugged on her skirt, his little milk voice making your heart melt.
"Mummy, just say yes to Solomon."
Solomon's pampering is most damaging to Eloise.
At first she didn't want Solomon to attend such occasions, which are, after all, full of all kinds of human interests.
But Solomon's pampering was too much for her to resist.
Within three rounds, Eloise was on her heels.
Picking up Solomon, who hadn't yet reached her waist, she gave him a hard kiss on his soft, sticky face.
"Who made you so cute, how could Mummy refuse you."
"Hee hee." Solomon laughed happily, both arms circling Eloise's neck.
"No, it's that Mummy is too beautiful and too kind to say no to Solomon."
A few hours later, Eloise brought Solomon to the location of the party.
Eloise steps out of the understated luxury black Rolls Royce, holding Solomon in her right hand.
The black gown that fit her body so tightly outlined her exquisite figure, and her fairy-like appearance.
Her long black hair was pulled up by her hairdresser in a more demure hairstyle to match her evening gown for the day.
Solomon also changed his look and wore his black suit with aplomb.
It seems even better looking than those adults, with a certain natural nobility in its boyishness.
The appearance of the two men was like dropping a stone on a calm lake, instantly causing waves.
The presence of Eloise and Solomon at the same time attracted many people's attention.
Egbert, who had heard the news, ran straight out from inside and, seeing the two men in costume, teased with a smile, "I'm afraid you're not here for the party, you're here to crash it?" Eloise smiled at him meaningfully and knelt down to help Solomon straighten his clothes.
Taking his hand, he pointed to Egbert and said, "This is the uncle I'm talking to you about today, Solomon call Uncle Lu hello quickly."
Although he is Eloise's Alumni, he is not that many years removed from Eloise.
The other children had addressed him as brother, and now that Solomon was calling him uncle, Egbert couldn't help but feel a little ...
On the contrary, Solomon was particularly cooperative with Eloise, showing his eight white teeth and saying in standard Mandarin, "Hello uncle, happy birthday uncle." And you can't be bothered with a small child.
Egbert relieved himself in this way, stepped forward and rubbed Solomon's head.
Egbert smiled and asked, "Why is Solomon so handsome today? Why did you come to Uncle's birthday party too?"
Solomon let out a "hee hee" and leaned in to Egbert's ear and said, "I complimented Mummy on her good looks and she brought me here."
Egbert oohed and aahed and gave Solomon's nose a gentle pinch, "You still know a lot about women here, uncle is not even as good as a little kid like you."
After messing around with Solomon for a while, Egbert had Solomon taken to play.
Solomon also fitted in easily with the circle and had a great time.
Egbert walks in Eloise's direction with a glass of wine and stands in front of her.
Noticing that her gaze was fixed on Solomon, she smiled slightly, "What made you think of bringing Solomon along today?"
"Solomon wanted to come and have a look, so I brought him over."
Eloise said, poured herself a glass of a lower strength wine, took a small sip and added, "Well, Alumni, just go and greet the guests, I don't need you to come over here specially." Eloise said and pushed Egbert aside, and Egbert had to laugh at the sight.
In fact, Eloise brought Solomon here today for another reason.
She is now, after all, a wife, and if she came to attend alone, she would inevitably be talked down to.
If you bring Solomon, the others won't say anything.
