Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 466: The water falls out
The news that Arthur had been driven out of the domestic market with heavy losses spread around the world overnight, with Hector's help, of course.
Hector watched the news reports coldly, his face still as calm as water as this fiasco was finally a victory.
When Marian walked in and saw him in this state, he couldn't help but admire the man before him a little.
What exactly does one have to go through to achieve a victory of this magnitude is not exciting at all.
As if sensing someone around him, Hector turned his head and spoke, "Find out?"
Marian nodded and handed the document in his hand to Hector.
"The prince guessed correctly, according to the investigation, Agnes has recently been seen near Stephen's headquarters."
Hector's hand holding the mouse couldn't help but pause for a moment.
Although he had guessed that the two were perhaps connected, he was still a little slowed down.
I didn't think it was really this woman.
"When did you get the news?"
"Just got that too, and Marian didn't dare delay once the news from abroad was sent back."
Marian has always been so efficient, which is one of the reasons why Hector values her.
At this Hector got up from his seat and went to the window and said solemnly, "Good, you go and deploy your men from abroad to track down Agnes, and also send someone from Customs to keep an eye on her." Since the presence is abroad, it must be most convenient to use foreign manpower.
But do it and Agnes will surely be aware of it and she will most likely return home.
Once Marian had left, Hector continued with the business at hand.
Comparing Rogers Group's stock movements with Stephens Group, it is clear that Stephen is now in a languishing position.
At the end of the day, Marian returned, looking a little worse for wear.
Arthur had already taken Agnes away before them and the foreigners were merely pouncing.
Hector looked at her somewhat unnatural expression and couldn't help but guess the outcome, waving his hand, "Think of something else."
Although Hector chose to forgive her, Marian always felt that she had done a bad job and fell to her knees.
"Don't worry, Prince, I will bring Agnes back to you."
Hector shook his head, "If Agnes had been alone, it would not have been unusual for you to bring her back. Now that she has been taken by Arthur, I'm afraid it will be difficult to replace her again, so I'll leave you to it." Arthur is not even in the same league as Agnes, and with Marian's current abilities, she just can't do that old fox Arthur.
Marian saw this and had to leave.
No sooner had she left than Thomas came in, a folder in hand, and handed it directly to Hector.
"This is the information on the woman who claims to be the young prince's mother. There was nothing wrong with it at first when we checked, but in the later stages, the breakdowns became more and more frequent." Thomas made a point of looking at Hector when he said this.
After seeing that he did not look different, then he continued, "Prince, look at the picture on the back page."
Hector nodded and his fingers then twisted the paper lightly and turned the page over.
On the photograph on that page, two figures appear in bold relief.
Although the image was blurred, Hector was able to guess who the two men were.
"This is the woman, isn't it?" He asked faintly.
Thomas nodded, "Good, the other woman was Agnes, we also found out by accident and then went to pull up the surveillance and to our surprise it was."
Hector caught sight of Agnes and couldn't help but tighten his grip.
This woman has repeatedly provoked his bottom line and has repeatedly hurt his Eloise.
If she falls into his hands, he will make her pay for what she has done!
"Where is Juana now?" Hector asked.
Thomas replied in a low voice, "She also disappeared after Arthur and Agnes were exposed one after the other."
It's no wonder, after all, they both have a bit of a background and even if something happens they can't shake the foundations.
But the woman couldn't, so she had to play along with the disappearance.
Hector's heart warmed at the sight of something being deliberately marked on the top of the information.
"Many thanks."
When he heard Hector's words, Thomas waved his hand, "Prince, that's not fair, it's my job to do your work."
This information is not simply for Hector, and if it were really for him, it would not have been necessary to put it together specifically.
Thomas did this just so Hector could take them back and show them to the Rogers family and to Eloise.
Hector thanked Thomas for his heart.
Rogers family, Mrs Matriarch saw this information and patted her chest heartily. "I didn't think it was going to be like this, I was almost fooled by her too, she made it sound so realistic, I was ... lucky she didn't get away with it." After listening to Mrs Matriarch's rant, Hector didn't say anything, instead Eloise said, "Mum, it's okay, it's over now, don't worry about it."
Mrs Matriarch was delighted to see how understanding her daughter-in-law was.
The matter involves Solomon and is closely linked to Hector.
It's not easy for Eloise to do this when her interests are at stake at all times.
Hector chewed on what Mrs Matriarch had said as he pondered.
He just couldn't figure out why Agnes knew so much about Solomon.
People who know these things can't be counted on one hand, but Agnes knows so much and is so detailed that it's hard not to suspect.
It looks like this Agnes is really something, and I kind of underestimated her at first.
In any case, he had to bring Agnes back for questioning; maybe she really did know who Solomon's real mother was.
Although this is a little unfair to Eloise, for Solomon, knowing the truth is the only way to make better choices in life.
Seeing that Hector was a bit distracted, Eloise asked, "What are you thinking about? So lost in thought." Hector sniffed and shook his head, "It's nothing, I just have too much going on and I'll be fine after a break." Hearing him say he was tired, Eloise was busy saying, "Then I'll come with you to wash up, it's getting late."
The two of them were getting mushy over here, and Solomon, who had been sitting watching TV on the other side, expressed his strong displeasure.
"Mommy and Daddy, don't you think it's still early enough in the morning that you need to read me a bedtime story?"
Mrs Matriarch, fearing that Solomon might interrupt the couple's time together, said, "Don't listen to him, go and get some rest. It's better if I can have a granddaughter next year."
Mrs Matriarch's words caused Eloise to walk away in immediate shame, Hector was a little embarrassed, and only Solomon stared at her with wide eyes and a curious look on his face.
