Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 468: Not close to the heart
In this way, everyone now knows that the president of the Rogers Group is having a big wedding.
Nowadays Eloise has to wear a mask or something like that when she goes out in case anyone recognises her as Eloise, otherwise she is sure to be caught and asked questions. Hector left work early as he didn't have much to do today.
A special visit was made to Eloise's department, and sure enough she was still there.
"What's going on here, it's not supposed to be a busy day, why aren't you off work now?"
Hector asked in a low voice, pretending as if he knew nothing.
Eloise glanced at him, "Thanks to you, I'm in a mess."
Seeing her sulky look, Hector couldn't help but laugh, "With that look on your face, why does it feel like I'm forcing the marriage?"
Despite Hector's light-hearted tone, Eloise winced and hurriedly said, "I didn't mean it like that, it's just that everything happened so fast that I was unprepared."
At these words Hector sat down and looked at her squarely and said, "You don't have to prepare anything, just wait and be the most beautiful bride for this grand wedding." Eloise smiled and snuggled into his arms.
He was right, they had already received a marriage licence and the wedding was just a matter of time.
Not to mention that there really is no need to prepare for anything when you marry him.
Thinking this way, she had no objection.
Seeing her frown relax, Hector held out a hand to Eloise and said with a smile, "Come on, let's go home."
As soon as the two arrived at the house, they saw Mrs Matriarch clutching a yellow calendar and reading it there.
Hector knew that he had been too hasty in this matter and had to say stiffly, "Mom, that ..."
Mrs Matriarch didn't mean to be blunt, but said cheerfully, "I've heard about your wedding, and I'm picking out a date for you."
Hector was quite surprised and asked, "Mum, you don't blame us for being hasty?"
Mrs Matriarch was busy shaking her head and hitting Hector.
"What's so hasty about it, I'm still too late for you to say anything, besides the date hasn't been set yet, so what opinion can I use. What's more, you've had your license for so long now, it's only a matter of time before you have a wedding." As she spoke, Mrs Matriarch had already looked at the date and pointed to it and said, "I think this is a good date, come and look at it too."
Hector nodded back.
"Three months will give plenty of time to prepare and not delay long enough to keep those who hear the news waiting, indeed."
After listening to Hector, Mrs Matriarch looked back to Eloise and asked, "Eloise, what do you think?"
Eloise smiled and looked at Hector with affection and said, "I'm all right with that, just listen to Hector."
Looking at Eloise's little feminine moody look, Hector hooked his lips into a smile.
His and Eloise's wedding, of course, has to be unique, so he will definitely prepare well and strive to throw a grand wedding.
With such a warm atmosphere, Eloise was surrounded by bubbles of happiness...
Solomon almost didn't jump when he saw such news and rushed to the living room saying, "Daddy and Mommy are having a wedding and you didn't tell me, that's too much!" Eloise hurriedly wrapped her arms around him, fearing he would fall, and explained, "It wouldn't have helped if we'd told you, you'd have had to go to class then."
Solomon's face fell as he listened, "Why do I have to go to school on such a big day, you guys are too insensitive."
Seeing that bitter look on his face, Hector instead held his tongue first.
"Your mummy teases you, how could she let you go to school, you, ah, just be around to witness daddy and mummy's happiness when the time comes."
"I don't." Hector had only just finished speaking when Solomon immediately denied it.
Hector froze for a moment and the atmosphere became noticeably awkward, who then said, "I'm not going to watch from the sidelines, I'm going to be the flower girl." Only when he heard this did Hector breathe a sigh of relief and stroked his head with a doting face, "Okay, you go and be the flower girl."
Meanwhile, Rupert, who is in hospital for a follow-up check-up, is completely sat up, surprised that he is not the first to know about his brother and sister-in-law's wedding.
After all, he was the one who organised the proposal in the first place, so of course he wanted to be there to help with the wedding now.
Aisly was also a little uncomfortable seeing him and telling him the truth about his condition.
"I ran into the dean yesterday and asked about your condition, and he said you just need to stay in tonight for observation. By that reckoning, you'll probably be able to leave tomorrow." Rupert could not help but rejoice at his words.
He had been recuperating at home for some time and was already used to living on the loose, so it was killing him to go back to hospital.
The next day, the dean came over to inform Rupert of his current situation, gave him a few words of advice and let him go.
He was met by Mr and Mrs Hector, as usual, and the couple smiled with relief to see Rupert back to normal.
"Congratulations to our Mr Rupert who is finally out of hospital." Eloise looked at him and smiled.
Rupert also took a long breath, "Yeah, finally, I'm out of the hospital, I went back for a trip to the last AGM and almost got caught back by the Dean, it was a scare." Hector also felt a little guilty about this and patted Rupert on the shoulder.
"Dean is also thinking of your health, and you had to go back to the last AGM because you had no choice."
"Well, well, now that we're all out of the hospital, let's not talk about those things."
Rupert, of course, knew what he was going to say and simply interrupted him.
Hector laughed helplessly and the three of them went to the office together.
As soon as he returned to the office, Rupert was surrounded by the women of the company and was showered with warmth.
After all, Rupert has been away for two months and a lot has happened in the company.
Mr Rupert was missed by many because of the seriousness with which Hector dealt with things, including his subordinates.
"Welcome home Mr Rupert."
"Mr Rupert we've missed you."
In contrast to Hector's indifference, Rupert is very enthusiastic.
Rupert accepted all the gifts and shouted, "To say thank you for thinking of me, all of you who came to pick me up today, go to dinner with me, I'll pay for that." "Wow, Mr Rupert is a big deal."
"It's a generous offer to marry."
...
These compliments went down well with Rupert.
Eloise hesitated for a moment, but asked one more question, "Are you sure you want to invite all of them?"
Rupert stretched his hands, "Not really, I'll just bring a few departments, but I'll definitely be calling on my sister-in-law's department, so she'll have to support me." Since he had said so, Eloise had no reason not to go, so she nodded.
