Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 527: Investigating Eloise's mother
Eloise froze and spoke up, "Yeah, not to mention you, I've never heard my mum mention it in all my life, I've vaguely heard a bit about it before. Seems my mum had a falling out with her family over marrying ..." In the quiet room, Eloise's voice carried a hint of sentimentality.
"It probably never occurred to my mother then that the person she had spent so much trying to follow her whole life would end up abandoning her."
Hector stroked Eloise's back one by one, silently comforting her.
Eloise tugged at the corner of her mouth and said slowly, "All these years, she didn't mention her grandparents to me and never said she wanted to go home, probably because she felt ashamed to see them." Maryam is soft on the outside but extremely strong on the inside.
Otherwise, it would not have been possible to raise Eloise alone for so many years without ever asking anyone for help.
Eloise believes that her mother would have made a career out of it if it hadn't been for her ill health.
She never said that she actually admired her mother.
"I don't know if it's just me, but I always felt that my mother should have come from a very good family and she should have had a very, very good life instead of living such a miserable life." Eloise's voice is full of regret as she remembers the past.
If it wasn't for Josh, her mother would never be where she is today.
Hector agreed, wrapping his arms around her and saying, "You can tell by looking at you that your mother-in-law is fine."
Eloise, caught off guard by the compliment, retorted a little sheepishly, "My mother is much better than me, I'm no match for her."
Hector decided that he would not argue with her.
In his mind anyway, there is no one like Eloise.
He is grateful to his mother-in-law, though, for raising Eloise so well.
Eloise quickly digressed from the subject herself and frowned: "I was quite distressed to see my mother in this state and I didn't dare to hope before.
It is still my hope that, in my lifetime, I can help her replace a family member, or at least, a loved one to come and visit with when she is ill."
Just the thought of her mother lying alone in the hospital for so long made her feel sick inside.
In the darkness, Hector's eyes flickered and he said nothing.
Noticing that Eloise's voice was getting lower, he looked down and gave her a kiss on the forehead and said, "Go to sleep."
The next day, after breakfast with the Godbold family, Eloise and the others were heading back.
Fletcher Godbold was reluctant and put his arm around Solomon and said, "There's nothing at home, what's the hurry to go back, stay another night."
Hector said calmly, "Grandpa, we'll see you next time."
Fletcher Godbold glared at him and said, "Every time it's the next time, it's always a long time before you come over, I'll remember that, don't give me the benefit of the doubt." Hector said hastily, "How dare I."
Fletcher Godbold was satisfied and said kindly to Eloise: "Eloise, that brat Hector knows how to work.
There aren't many days in the day when he comes over to see an old man like me, so if he doesn't come, forget it, you bring Solomon over and I'll get Auntie to cook you a nice meal." The disliked Hector: "..."
Eloise was a little amused and at the same time agnes in her heart.
She said seriously, "Yes, I'll be sure to bring Solomon over to see you often."
Solomon also rubbed up against the old man very nicely and said clingingly, "Grandpa, Solomon will miss you very much."
"Ouch, what a good Solomon for Grandma," Fletcher Godbold said with a wrinkled smile.
The family left the Godbold family in the car and drove far enough to see the old man waving from behind.
With a sour heart, Eloise decided that she would bring Solomon over more often.
After dropping Eloise off at their home, Hector moved on to the office, where he had a lot of business to attend to.
When he arrived at the office, he called Thomas to give orders.
"Go and replace out where Eloise's mother came from."
Thomas was a bit surprised that the prince was investigating his mother-in-law, had the two fallen out? Seeing the man in front of him stay still for a long time, Hector looked up and raised an eyebrow, "What?" Thomas carefully confirmed, "President, is this an investigation into the president's wife's mother?" Hector said calmly, "There's a problem?"
With a jolt, Thomas was busy saying, "I know, I'll check it out."
Having been ordered to do so, Thomas rushed out.
Hector rubbed his temples, thinking about what Eloise had said last night, a thoughtful glint in his eyes. Rogers family.
Eloise arrived home drowsy after a late night yesterday and a physically exhausted day of playing.
She said hello to Mrs Matriarch and went to her room to rest.
Having slept until noon, Eloise sat up with her back supported.
The door to the room was suddenly pushed open a little and a small head poked in.
"Mummy, Grandma says it's time for dinner." Solomon called out in a small whisper.
Eloise smiled and responded, "Yes, Mummy will be up in a minute."
Solomon ran over to her and with a puffy little bun face said, "Mummy, I'll help you."
He's still so young and can't help much at all.
And Eloise wasn't that weak, but not wanting to discourage Solomon, she cooperated by offering her hand to Solomon. Solomon happily helped her up and put her shoes away attentively, and Eloise's heart warmed by this Solomonbe gesture.
Eloise stroked his little head and complimented, "My Solomon is going to be a big warm man when he grows up."
Solomon asked cluelessly, "What's a warmonger?"
"It's about being very, very nice to the girls and not letting them down."
Eloise explained as she led him by the hand towards the stairs.
Solomon frowned a little, thought for a moment and solemnly said, "I want to be a warm man and not be nice to other girls, only to Mummy." "Wow, my Solomon Bay is so warm."
Eloise was moved to tears.
Solomon pursed his lips and said seriously, "I want to be good to Mummy for the rest of my life, not let anyone bully her, and be very good when I grow up."
Mrs Matriarch's eyes were all smiles as she heard the conversation between mother and son and greeted, "Come and eat, little warmer."
"Okay, Grandma."
Solomon said, but he was holding Eloise's hand tightly, afraid she would fall.
When you get to the table, you hold the chair with both hands and pull it away; he is small and struggles to do it.
Eloise reached over and pulled away, carrying Solomon to the chair and smiling, "When Mummy gets old, you take care of Mummy, for now let Mummy take care of you." Solomon smiled and nodded his head.
During the meal, Hector called over on the video phone.
When Eloise got through, she took a picture of the food on the table, and afterwards she told him in a showy way, "Look, this is what we're having, do you want to come back for more?" Hector would like to come back, but he is too busy to leave.
"No, you eat a bit more."
Hector gazed at Eloise's face, always concerned that she was too thin and not gaining any weight despite all the food she ate.
