Love Comes To Me
Chapter 561: You are the parents of the little girl, aren't you?

In his mind, Thomas said, "The President is too nice today, a little doll can change his decision.

For those who don't know, they think this little girl is Hector's own ...

He had a thunderstruck look on his face and was puzzled.

Finally, he shook his head and went to dismiss the executives who were hanging out in the conference room. Inside the office.

Hector put on his jacket and suddenly remembered that he didn't know the little girl's name yet.

He turned his head to meet the little girl's eyes and asked in a warm voice, "Little girl, what is your name?"

The tone of his voice unconsciously softened a few degrees.

The little girl was putting her hand over his face and touching it carelessly.

At that, she smiled, "My name is Sweety, Mummy gave me that name."

Hector nods, thinking the name still fits the image of the little girl.

She smiles Sweety's, talks sweetly and has a sweet tooth, her mummy really knows her daughter well.

After putting on his coat, Hector carried his little girl downstairs, intending to take her to the sweet shop near the office.

"Daddy, where are we going?" Sweety asked as she wrapped her arms around Hector's neck, as if she was afraid he would run away if she let go. Hector gave Sweety's fleshy cheeks a squeeze and said, "Take you to get some cake."

"Oh yeah!"

The little girl instantly smiled and made a scissors hand.

At the end, it twisted around and barfed on Hector's face.

The wet saliva stuck to his cheek and Hector reached up and touched it, not feeling disgusted, but smiling instead.

As they descended the stairs, the crowd looked in horror at the little group cowering in the arms of their own president, only to replace the image eerie. Was their president smiling? And his eyes are so gentle?

When did a tough guy with a cold face get soft?

More people were curious as to what this little girl was all about, that she was favoured by her boss.

The gossiping power of the masses is strong, and already some people are secretly speculating whether the little girl could be Hector's illegitimate child outside. But Hector didn't bother to explain, let them think what they will.

On the other hand, the Darlington family's slump continued for a long time.

A cloud of gloom hangs over the Darlington family until a phone call arrives to break the dreary environment.

The call was made directly to Rowson's mobile phone while the family was having breakfast.

Eloise had no appetite and ate just one bite, then stopped eating, with a sad face.

She hadn't slept all night and her spirits looked fragile.

The wind blows as if it were about to fall over and the eyes are empty.

The family was also afraid of irritating her, and no one dared to mention the little girl's affair, and everyone ate their breakfast in silence and with their heads down. The silence in the room was broken by the ringing of Rowson's mobile phone.

As soon as the call was answered, an unfamiliar voice rang out on the other end.

"Excuse me, it's Mr Rowson isn't it?"

Rowson stared and said politely, "Yes, you are?"

"I'm a police officer from the police station. I heard that your child is missing, right?"

Rowson sniffed and a sudden look of joy appeared on his face.

He got up from his chair and pressed the PA, "Yes, it's a little girl, she got lost near the square last night."

The family looked at Rowson in unison when they heard the sound.

Eloise nervously moved over to listen to the phone.

Breathing seemed to stop, and the heart pounded violently.

Listening to Rowson's words, the police had basically concluded in their minds that the little girl was probably the one lost by the Darlington family, and that the time and place were right.

A brief explanation, "Oh, yes, yesterday when I was on duty someone came in with a little girl and reported that she had found it. I forgot to mention it when I turned in for my shift, I'm really sorry." Eloise listened, covering her mouth in disbelief as a tear snapped down her face.

In the midst of a sea of despair, a glimmer of hope was finally seen, allowing her to surface and catch her breath.

Mrs Darlington's face also showed joy as she gestured with her hand to Rowson to hurry up and confirm if it was the little girl.

Rowson snapped out of his excitement and with a slight tremor in his voice he inquired, "Comrade police officer, may I ask you how old the child is?"

The police officer recalled for a moment and said, "Not very big, about two or three years old, with cute pigtails, in fact they came to the police station yesterday. We have CCTV footage over here, just come over and confirm if your parents are free."

The little girl's spooky look is very much in his memory.

"Free free free, we'll be there right away, thank you."

Rowson was pleasantly thanked and the lingering gloom lifted.

When they heard that the child was two or three years old, the crowd all showed expressions of relief.

A large part of a hanging heart has fallen.

Eloise's expression could no longer be restrained after the call hung up.

She slowly crouched down and cradled her head in her hands.

Wiping the corners of her eyes for a moment, she looked up at Rowson and asked him weakly, "Rowson, it really was Sweety they picked up, wasn't it?"

There was a bright light in that eager look, swaying in those clear eyes.

Rowson scowled at her, not daring to answer directly.

If it turns out not to be a maid, she will fall apart, so she has taken precautions in advance.

"That's not certain yet, so we need to go over there now to confirm it and see what happens." Eloise's eyes darkened suddenly.

She smiled reluctantly and nodded, getting up and ready to rush to the police station together. Mrs Darlington saw this and rushed to help Eloise.

And glared at Rowson, blaming him for speaking too directly.

At a time like this, when it was already 80% certain that it was the little girl, he still scared Eloise.

It's a rollercoaster ride, up and down.

What a mother needs most now is a firm answer, even if there is only a slim hope, even if it is a lie, to say yes.

My own son is just too wooden to understand the heart of a woman.

Eloise rushed to the police station with the Darlington family, mother and son.

On the way, she was unusually silent.

When they arrived at the police station, Eloise immediately went to the officer and asked for the CCTV footage.

The policeman rubbed the back of his head, looked over at the anxious Eloise and, with a little apology in his heart, hurriedly took them to see the playback on the monitor. "Ah, you're the parents of the little girl, right? The video is over here, come with me."

Rewind the clock to yesterday evening.

The video starts with this policeman beside them.

When it was time to leave work, he was preparing to pack up his things and go home from work.

At that moment, the door of the police station was pulled open.

First in walked a young boy, seven or eight years old.

He was also holding a female doll, and behind the two, there was a grown man, and they were saying something to the policeman.

"This is the child they picked up, so let me zoom in on the girl's face for you to see, and you can confirm it."

With those words, the police officer zoomed in on that image.
