Love Comes To Me
Chapter 581: Go and coax Solomon

The night is cool as a wash, and the evening breeze sweeps by, startling a little ripple.

Mrs Matriarch made a gesture and several musicians sitting to one side moved their fingers slightly.

The elegant sound of the cello flows away romantically, masking the wave of low emotions.

Aisly and Rupert finished toasting their elders and soon returned to the main table.

Hector's eyes kept falling seemingly to where Eloise had left them, something brewing in them, a deep look.

The Godbold family, who knew all about Eloise and Hector, were silent and did not dare to say anything.

The family all had slightly downcast eyes and a complicated look.

Fletcher Godbold gave a clear cough at this, and his withered fingertips flexed slightly.

placed on the desk in front of Hector tapped twice to get Hector's attention.

"Grandpa, what's wrong?"

Hector raised his eyes and asked bitterly.

Fletcher Godbold pointed to the figures of Rupert and Aisly, telling him to look over, and then gave him a whispered admonition, "O Hector, I hope you remembered what Grandfather said just now, and don't mess up this wedding feast." Love is important, but affection carries just as much weight.

If Hector keeps his heart in the palm of his hand, the Rogers family's hearts will be in his mood and no one will care about the engagement party.

That way, it would not be fair to Aisly and she would have a hard time marrying over later.

Naturally, Hector took the warning in Fletcher Godbold's words and, with a collected expression, he nodded at Fletcher Godbold.

"I know that, Grandpa, don't worry."

Hector's face was as good as new by the time Rupert came over.

An apology was dropped softly in Rupert and Aisly's ears as they added congratulatory remarks.

"It's okay, brother." Rupert put an arm around his shoulders and nodded understandingly.

Aisly smiled back warmly, not at all bothered.

As the atmosphere warmed up on the Rogers family side, the guests began to laugh and joke in the middle of the banquet.

Time passed between our fingers and the dinner drew to a close.

The Rogers family were busy greeting their guests and Hector was in his element, helping to see them off.

After all the guests had been sent away with great difficulty, the night had become much darker.

"Dad, it's late, you should go back and rest too."

Mrs Matriarch assisted Fletcher Godbold and persuaded him to go back with his relatives on the Godbold family side first, while the driver was still waiting outside. Fletcher Godbold's eyes then fell on Hector.

You can tell that the old man is still worried about Hector.

The two grandsons looked at each other, and Hector took the initiative and said to the old man, "Grandpa, you should go back first, I'll take care of my own business. We'll see you again when we get Eloise back."

By now Hector's face had calmed down considerably, not quite as demoralised as it had been earlier, and his brow was tinged with a renewed sense of intent.

The once-fallen star lit up as if once again.

Fletcher Godbold nodded back with relief at the sight.

He stopped insisting and followed the driver back first.

The Rogers family was soon the only family left in the large venue.

After dropping off Fletcher Godbold, Hector spoke to Mrs Matriarch and told them to go back first, while he himself went to replace Thomas.

"Go and investigate Rowson and the others immediately, see where they've gone and also focus on what happened to Eloise and what her relationship with Rowson really is?"

As he said this, Hector's face was taut and his eyes flashed a sharp edge.

He trusted his eyes and his heart, and he would have mistaken no one for Eloise.

Those eyes, that face, that smile, it was clearly Eloise.

For three years now, he has been dreaming every day, sketching Eloise's face into the marrow of his bones.

How could he let go of the person he had been thinking about day and night when she was right in front of him?

"Yes, Prince, I will order it down immediately, and I will also have someone keep an eye on their movements over the next few days and keep you informed."

Thomas' eyes flashed with a hint of concern as he gazed at Hector's expression and nodded his head in response.

This time, let's hope we don't get our hopes up.

Back at the Rogers family, as soon as we entered, we heard the sound of a child crying from upstairs.

Rupert happened to come down from upstairs and saw Hector and looked at him worriedly, "Brother, you're back, are you okay?"

Hector raised his eyes slightly and hmmed seemingly.

"What happened to Solomon?" Hector asked.

Rupert patted his tortured ears and explained, "In his room making a fuss about his mummy, Mum and Dad and Aisly were coaxing him and I couldn't stand his lion's roar any longer so I came down for shelter." The family is in a panic because of Eloise's presence.

Aisly was reassured and came back with her.

Solomon was devastated all night and didn't get over it.

At the party, she was understanding and kept her emotions in check, but when she got home, the emotions she was holding back exploded and she cried a lot at night.

No amount of talk from Mr Fletcher or Mrs Matriarch could bring him back from his grief.

I think Eloise's pushing him back just now hurt Solomon's already sensitive heart.

Surveying Hector's expression, Rupert frowned and carefully enquired, "Brother, why don't you go and coax Solomon?"

At the sound of Eloise's name, Hector's breathing stalled slightly.

The eyes are tainted with a few hazy points and a little lost.

He can totally relate to Solomon's feelings at the moment.

The fact that Eloise had forgotten everyone was as damaging as being struck by lightning.

Even Rupert couldn't come back to his senses immediately, let alone a small child.

Listening to the cries from upstairs, the corners of Hector's mouth curled up in a bitter hint.

He shook his head and replied tersely, "Let him be, he's tired of crying."

While Solomon can cry to let off steam, his thoughts are stuck in his heart, dull and dreary.

Having said that, Hector lowered his eyes and shuffled off in the direction of the study with a weary stride.

The tall, upright back looked forlorn and tinged with desolation.

Half a quarter of a second later, the study door slowly closed shut, isolating the outside world.

Rupert saw this and sighed wordlessly.

His brother doesn't seem to have taken any less of a beating than Solomon did.

Having pretended to be fine before, I can't suppress the sadness in my heart now.

He was worried, but he knew better than to bother Hector now, so he let him be. Pour a glass of warm water and return upstairs.

Mr Fletcher, Mrs Matriarch heard voices in the study and enquired, "Rupert is your brother back yet?"

Rupert nodded and said quietly, "Back, yes, but not in a good way, my brother locked himself in his study."

Seeing Mrs Matriarch's worried look, Mr Fletcher patted Mrs Matriarch's shoulder and said persuasively, "Let him be, he needs to digest this today on his own, so don't worry about it with him."
