Love Comes To Me
Chapter 617: Something Happens to Solomon

Rowson couldn't help but clench the glass in his hand at the thought that Eloise would lie to him about this man. Did he not even have the right to know who she was with now?

Now Eloise and Hector are getting closer, and that's not good for him.

The two had a previous relationship and with more contact, Eloise soon developed a liking for Hector.

When that happens, he won't stand a chance.

Hector is a despicable person who has repeatedly taken advantage of Eloise's feelings for Solomon.

Knowing she wouldn't say no to Solomon, that's why she repeatedly got her way.

The sound of a door closing downstairs came and Rowson walked to the stairway to wait for Eloise.

Changing her shoes in the foyer, Eloise prepares to go upstairs.

At this point, Rowson suddenly spoke up, seemingly casually, "Why are you back so late? Did you come back on your own?"

The sudden sound that came out scared Eloise's hand and the gift from Solomon rolled straight to the floor.

Eloise scrambled to pick it up and reinsert it inside the box.

After settling down, Eloise was able to answer Rowson's question.

"Had a chat with a friend and took a bit of time."

Knowing that Eloise was avoiding something, Rowson didn't press the issue.

"It's good to be back, and remember to let me pick you up if you're back this late in the future."

Leaving a breezy message, he went upstairs.

It was only after watching him enter the room that Eloise took a long breath.

It's a really bad feeling to have a weak heart.

Back in her room, Eloise handed Solomon's gift to Sweety, instructing, "This is something your brother made especially for you, even Mummy doesn't have this honour." Sweety sniffed and hugged the box tightly, as if she was afraid Eloise would grab it.

Looking at Eloise with a defensive face, the little adult said, "This is a gift from brother to Sweety, so Sweety can't share it with mummy, Sweety sleeps by herself tonight, good night mummy." With those words, the little girl went back to her little room with her gift in her arms.

Sweety's room is nothing more than a toy she bought online earlier. It's not big, but it's more than enough to accommodate a little two-year-old doll.

Looking at the little girl's tightly closed room, Eloise couldn't help but smile softly.

The little girl who used to say that she would never sleep by herself was so abnormal today.

It seems that Solomon is still very much on her mind.

After washing away the day's fatigue, Eloise lay down on her bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.

On the other side, Solomon and Hector returned home. Hector held Solomon on his lap and said seriously, "Solomon, Daddy won't know how many days he'll be back from this trip.

So remember to go to Mummy if you need anything, and don't care if your classmates get into any trouble, or you'll be the one who suffers, got it?"

Solomon nodded his head and assured, "Don't worry Daddy, I'll be good and won't get into any trouble, I'll go to Mummy if I need anything, you be safe and come back early too." "Good, go and rest."

Hector got up and went to the study.

Solomon shouted from behind Hector, "Good night Daddy!"

He then went back to his small room, took a shower and lay down on the bed.

In no time at all he was in dreamland, where Mummy remembered him and they lived together as a family of four happily.

It was an extremely good night's sleep for Solomon.

It was late in the evening when Hector had put together the materials he would need for the next few days.

Looking at the time, I realised he should have gone to bed.

After briefly packing a few pieces of clothing in the suitcase, it was closed.

Sitting on the edge of the bed looking at the boxes standing on the floor, Hector's eyes could not help but see Eloise's busy figure. She used to be the one who was always on the go on every trip, so I wonder if she'll be organising Rowson's bags now too. But none of that matters much now.

Lifting the covers up, Hector lay down in bed with his clothes and just fell asleep.

The next day, Hector went to the airport early and edited a message to Eloise before taking off.

By the time Eloise woke up, it was sunrise.

Habitually picking up her phone, Eloise looked at the name of the person displayed on it and couldn't help but stare. "Eloise, I'm off, Solomon please help look after Hector."

After staring at the content of the message for a long time, Eloise got up from the bed.

As usual, the day passed quickly as we did the work in hand.

It's just that Eloise is a little distracted throughout.

Every now and then, Solomon comes to mind.

His smiling face, his good manners, his quick wit.

Every aspect of Solomon is firmly in her mind.

I don't know if he is eating properly or studying properly now.

But she resisted the urge to contact Solomon; after all, Hector had just left.

If Rowson had found out, he would have had a long explanation to give.

For the past three days in a row, Eloise has had a hard time every day.

Solomon, on the other side, was equally tormented, knowing that Mummy had her difficulties.

So it has been a painful wait and I don't dare to disturb her easily.

This day Eloise was at work reconciling statements when somehow the numbers in front of her turned out to be Solomon's.

In condemning why she did not go to see him, the look was very pathetic.

Eloise was about to reach out and touch him when she heard the assistant shout.

"Miss Eloise? Miss Eloise?"

The assistant's hand waved in front of Eloise's eyes several times before Eloise snapped back to attention.

"Huh? What's going on?"

Seeing her lost in thought, the assistant couldn't help but say, "Miss Eloise, have you not had a good rest, I've called you so many times and you've ignored me." Eloise shook her head to put the distractions out of her mind and enquired, "No, there was just thinking about things, what was it."

"Here's the new partnership, look at it for any mistakes."

The assistant said and handed a document to Eloise.

After a few sweeping glances, Eloise felt she just couldn't look away and was inexplicably annoyed.

Turning to the assistant, he said, "This document will be dealt with when I return, I need to leave for a while now for something."

With those words, he left the office straight away.

When I look at my phone, it's still early and Solomon should not be out of school yet.

After a trip to the shop to buy a few of Solomon's favourite snacks, it was off to Solomon's school.

I didn't expect to hear the sad news just as I arrived at school.

When the school teacher saw Eloise, she called her aside and said, "What's wrong with you parents? Do you know that Solomon is in hospital?"

Startled by the teacher's words, Eloise looked at him blankly and asked with a bewildered look on her face, "Is it true that you are talking about Solomon, teacher?"
