Love Comes To Me
Chapter 649: It's just ridiculous!

A familiar face came into view and Hector raised his eyebrows slightly as his eyes fell on Mr. Darlington Sr.

Mr. Darlington Sr's eyes changed slightly, and after a moment, his expression returned to normal.

He greeted Hector naturally, "Mr Hector, how are you, do you remember me?"

Not being the same as Mrs Darlington, Mr. Darlington Sr was very friendly towards Hector.

His own winery has a partnership with the JS Group and he naturally cannot afford to offend Hector.

And Mr. Darlington Sr makes a clear distinction between business and personal matters.

No anger towards Hector over Rowson and Eloise.

"Remember, we recently had a partnership with Mr. Rowson Winery."

Hector reached out to Mr. Darlington Sr and was quite even-faced.

After a few pleasantries, they exchanged business matters in a very calm manner.

On the subject of collaboration, Hector said little, but hit the nail on the head.

He was definitely at the forefront of thinking and strategic vision.

After a short conversation, Mr. Darlington Sr. was impressed by Hector's unique insights.

It is a sigh of relief that the wave that comes after the river pushes the wave that comes before it. Eloise calmed down in the bathroom.

Looking at myself in the mirror with a pale face, I sighed helplessly.

She held her forehead, rubbed it a few times and bowed her head in dismay.

Every time I see Hector I am so overwhelmed, is he some kind of flood?

He is also a living human being, no different from himself.

Patting her pale face, Eloise gave herself a pep talk.

Suggest to yourself that you should not be nervous and that there is nothing to fear from Hector.

After taking a deep breath and making sure she was in her element, she moved slowly towards the main hall again.

The thought was not to be afraid of Hector, and that he wasn't necessarily coming for her, and to keep herself from making a fool of herself.

But stepping outside to see Hector and Mr. Darlington Sr talking, she instantly wimped out again.

"Miss Eloise, Mr. Rowson is over there."

Someone saw her looking around and kindly pointed in the direction of Mr. Darlington Sr and Hector.

Eloise smiled awkwardly, "Well, thank you, I know."

After seeing the man off, Eloise's feet moved unconsciously towards the corner.

To avoid Hector, she sat down in a secluded nook and cranny, spreading her hair to her cheeks to half shield her face.

I asked for a glass of wine from the waiter and took a small sip.

I was bored when my mobile phone suddenly rang.

Eloise picked up and the little girl's soft voice rang out on the other end, "Mummy."

Her brow softened at the sound of Sweety's voice.

She smiled and responded, "Sweety, what's up?"

"Mummy where are you? When will you be back, Sweety misses you so much."

Eloise's heart softened as she listened to the little girl's adorable words.

She replied patiently, "Mummy's out working and it'll be a while before she gets back, and Mummy misses Sweety too."

In contrast to the dryness she displayed earlier, Eloise looks soft and supple.

A real smile spread across her lips as she gently coaxed the little girl on the other end of the line.

Mother and daughter chatted and laughed.

And the scene fell on Adeline's eyes.

From the beginning of the party, when she knew Eloise would be present, she had been deliberately looking for her.

At this point, Adeline looked at Eloise with a big smile on her face, and her fingertips made a harsh sound as they rubbed the glass in her hand with a slight effort.

At the party, Mr. Darlington Sr's announcement that Eloise was the Darlington family's daughter-in-law also reached Adeline's ears.

Jealousy burns in Adeline's heart at the thought that she should have been sitting in that seat.

Rowson would have been her husband if Eloise hadn't stepped in!

She had admired Rowson since she was a child, and even put aside her womanly reserve to beg her father to propose marriage to her.

In the end, however, it didn't work out and was rejected by Mr. Darlington Sr.

Since that incident, her self-esteem has been bruised and she has stopped stepping into the Darlington family so often that she is ashamed to even meet them.

But when she heard today that Eloise was to become a daughter-in-law of the Darlington family, she couldn't hold back any longer.

If it was another celebrity, a better one than her, who had taken Rowson, then forget it.

But Eloise, who is she?

Adeline smiled coldly and walked briskly towards Eloise.

"Miss Eloise, it's been a long time."

A shrill female voice reached the eardrums and sounded somewhat familiar.

A shadow fell over Eloise's face and she subconsciously looked up to see a woman in a black dress.

A tall glass of wine in her hand, the burgundy liquid swaying with her gentle shaking motion.

After a few seconds on the end, Eloise's brow furrowed slightly, recognising the hot drama she was greeting as Rowson's childhood friend.

The visitor was the daughter of the owner of a winery next door, and if she felt right, this childhood friend had a thing for Rowson.

"Hello, Adeline," Eloise responded kindly.

Instead, the other side snorted softly.

Her heart thudded, Eloise sensed that the caller was bad and quickly spoke to Sweety on the other end of the line, "Mummy has something to do, so I'll hang up now and I'll be back with you tonight." The way Eloise looked down at her little girl, Adeline saw it and became even more disgusted with Eloise.

It's ridiculous that a woman with an illegitimate daughter, who doesn't even know who the father of the child is, should marry her beloved!

With one arm across her chest, Adeline looked down on Eloise with a condescending look.

With a contemptuous hook in her brow, she cupped her throat and mocked grimly, "Miss Eloise, it's been a long time, but I didn't expect you to be even more skillful." There is a note of vitriol in the words.

This woman pretends to be harmless on the surface, but in reality, she is so deep in the city, right?

How dare she climb to the position of daughter-in-law of the Darlington family in just a few years! What a disgrace!

Eloise's brow furrowed and after putting her phone away, she looked up at Adeline with some displeasure, "What do you mean?"

The moment he raised his eyes, an icy chill flooded them, giving them a sense of inviolability.

Rather, it caused Adeline to freeze slightly.

But she quickly calmed down.

She has nothing to fear from Eloise!

"It doesn't mean anything, I just wanted to say congratulations."

Adeline hid the hostility on her face and brought a fake smile to the corners of her mouth.

Seeing this Eloise couldn't help but look at Adeline in bewilderment.

Congratulations to her on what?

"Aren't you getting married to Rowson? I just wanted to give you an early blessing."

With those words, Adeline reached out to beckon the waiter and snatched the champagne from his hands.

"I may not have sounded too good just now, don't get me wrong, so, to apologise, let's touch one."

She said, pouring herself a glass of wine from Eloise's glass on the table with one hand.
