Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 662: No! door!
Mrs Matriarch gave Rupert a blank look at her words.
He really knew what to say.
Seeing Eloise's face not look so good, Hector suggested, "Mum, don't stand outside, I've got a room next door.
Eloise is just recovering a bit, so it's better not to keep her on her feet for long periods of time."
"Eh, good, good." Mrs Matriarch responded incoherently.
Back in the room, Sweety ran from one side to the other and into the arms of Mrs Matriarch.
A soft voice said, "Grandma."
Mrs Matriarch's heart melted at the sight of Sweety, who she had missed for so many days, and at the sight of her adorable face.
He hugged the little girl in a hug and gave her a good kiss.
Brushing away the sadness in her eyes, Mrs Matriarch said in a cheerful voice, "Our Sweety has grown up and become even more adorable, Grandma misses you so much."
The little girl was much more excited to hear Mrs Matriarch's words.
"Sweety misses Grandma too."
Sweety is lovely to look at, with big eyes that seem to shine like stars.
With a soft, sweet voice and a lively, clingy personality, it's not too much to say that she's a crowd pleaser.
Mrs Matriarch's heart melted as she hugged Sweety and asked her questions, making Rupert's eyes water.
He wanted to wait for Mrs Matriarch to finish before hugging Sweety, but Mrs Matriarch didn't stop there.
After waiting for more than half an hour there was no sign of Mrs Matriarch letting go of her hand.
Rupert couldn't help but sit back and look at Sweety's cute face and said, "Mum, you can let me hold Sweety too, I miss Sweety too."
Before Mrs Matriarch could say anything, Mr Fletcher flashed an eye slash without any intention of letting Rupert hold it.
There was a certain amount of smugness in his tone as he said, "Not for you, it's my turn when your mother finishes hugging." "Ah..."
Rupert turned bitter for a second, to the delight of Sweety, who laughed heartily.
He refused to give up and tried to fight for more, "Then it's my turn when you're done hugging, Dad."
Unexpectedly Mr Fletcher smirked and pointed to Aisly who was sitting next to Rupert.
The other man straightened up, hooked his lips and smiled smugly, "And Aisly, when Aisly is done hugging then it's your turn."
Rupert just feels abandoned by the world and his place at the bottom of the pecking order.
He poked Aisly, trying for a glimmer of hope saying, "How about we both ..."
Before Rupert could finish his sentence, Aisly guessed what he was going to say.
One pair of eyes smiled into a crescent moon and spoke without mercy, saying in one word, "No! The door!"
Rupert deflated and had to wait in line in silence.
Day 2.
The morning sun is warm and gentle, spreading through the white hospital curtains in the ward, a few rays of light shining on Eloise's white skin, her closed eyes trembling. A few moments later she opened her eyes in a trance, her body slightly stiff after a night's sleep on the edge of the bed.
She couldn't care less about her discomfort and those eyes were glued to the child on the bed.
With eyes full of sorrow and self-recrimination, he sighed with worry.
Unexpectedly, the next thing you hear is Solomon's soft murmur, "Mummy ... Mummy... Mummy, where are you ...
At this Eloise's eyes widened but she didn't dare move too much, she held Solomon's hand tightly.
With a few shivers in her voice, she said, "Mummy is here, Solomon don't be afraid, Mummy is here."
Solomon squinted slightly, as if it took all his strength to barely open his eyes.
With an extremely pale face and lips, she looked at Eloise by the bed and said, "Mummy ..."
Upon hearing Solomon's voice, Eloise was simply ecstatic.
Taking Solomon's hand in his afterlife, he tried to smile, but his eyes were red, and said gently, "Mummy's here."
Solomon smiled faintly and his eyes closed once more into unconsciousness.
Eloise's heart was a little relieved that Solomon now needed rest more than anything else.
She was content to wake up once to report to herself that she was safe.
She looked to Solomon's tiny hands, which had been clasped tightly in her left hand, despite the fact that he was now unconscious.
Eloise was distraught and secretly prayed that Solomon's health would recover quickly.
For several days Eloise stayed in the ward with Solomon, who was in a coma.
Since the last time Solomon woke up for a few moments, he has been in a coma since then.
But Eloise never gave up hope and stuck by Solomon.
However Mr. Darlington Sr and Mrs Darlington frowned as they vaguely noticed that something was not right.
It occurred to me that the last time Eloise came to see them was a few days ago, and there had been no sign of Eloise for the past few days.
Mrs Darlington had a vague suspicion and turned to Rowson, who was peeling an apple, and asked, "Why hasn't Eloise been here for a while? Is she busy with something?" Rowson paused in his apple peeling, a glint of loss in his eyes.
Raising her eyes to meet Mrs Darlington's, she smiled and said, "You don't have to think much about it, Mum, you are weak now and need to recuperate."
Mrs Darlington saw that he didn't look right and reinforced her inner thoughts by saying, "You don't have to worry about anything else, what exactly is Eloise up to these days." Seeing Mrs Darlington's firmness, Rowson could not digress any further and replied, "Solomon has been in a coma recently and Eloise is worried so she has been staying with Solomon." Mrs Darlington's face changed instantly, thinking that Eloise must have met with Mr Fletcher and Mrs Matriarch.
She frowned and twisted her head to take Rowson's hand, looking serious, "Rowson, you need to be clear that Eloise is the daughter-in-law of our Darlington family.
Not of the Rogers family! Even if Eloise has now agreed to be the Darlington family's daughter-in-law, you still can't take it lightly!"
Rowson opened his mouth slightly but couldn't say anything, so he nodded and replied, "Don't worry, Mum, I'll talk to Eloise about it."
Seeing Rowson say this, Mrs Darlington's brow was much relieved and she lay back in her hospital bed.
Rowson put down the apple he was peeling and walked out of the ward to Solomon's ward.
"Eloise, can you come out for a moment? I have something I want to talk to you about."
Eloise took one look at the unconscious Solomon and nodded as he walked out of the ward.
There was a certain quietness in the long corridor of the ward at this time with only Rowson and Eloise.
Eloise walked over to Rowson and asked, "What's up?"
"You've been busy with Solomon lately, Mum's a bit sensitive about it, she's been a bit frail lately and would like you to visit her more often." Rowson tried to put it as euphemistically as possible and Eloise opened her mouth to understand the meaning of his words.
When I think of how I have been living in the hospital cafeteria for the past few days, it is almost like a two o'clock life. Leaving everything else behind.
She pursed her lips and spoke apologetically, "I'm sorry... I was thinking too much, I didn't want to do this myself.
But I can't help worrying about Solomon whenever I'm away from him and I really don't have the heart to do anything else."
