Love Comes To Me
Chapter 665: Who thought it was the real mother

Rupert just felt that his head was not enough, how metaphysical was it to think about this, was he overlooking something or else it was unrealistic to think about it in any way.

"I don't know." Hector said dryly, his expression unchanged.

"Okay."

Rupert pounds his head in some frustration.

After a moment, he jumped up again, "How is that possible, my sister-in-law seemed to be a surrogate for someone back then, who contacted her? Couldn't it be Mom and Dad and the others?" If it was Mum and Dad, it would make even less sense.

Because Mr Fletcher and Mrs Matriarch obviously didn't know Eloise before and, if it was really her surrogate child, Mum and Dad would have stopped them from getting together.

On the contrary, instead of stopping the two men, they quite liked the sister-in-law.

It always felt strange that no one else came out to stop it either.

Hector looked puzzled, unsure of what was on his mind.

These are questions that are destined to remain unresolved for the time being.

Rupert's brow was furrowed to death.

Aisly looks at Rupert with a head full of lawsuits and replaces it funny.

This fool, he doesn't know what happened back then, so what can he come up with if he thinks harder.

However, it was strange for her to hear the conversation between the brothers.

"I can't figure it out, brother, what's going on here?" Rupert muttered.

He wasn't the only one who couldn't figure it out, so was Hector.

"I don't think it was Mum and Dad, they had no reason to do it." Hector said as much.

At these words, Rupert nodded his head as if he had been pounded.

"I don't think it's likely either when I think about it. Brother, think back carefully about what happened a few years ago, did you meet your sister-in-law before?" Hearing his words, Hector looked at him with a look like a fool.

If he'd seen Eloise, it didn't make sense that he wouldn't be impressed.

The truth of the matter now is that he really doesn't know anything at all.

"That makes a bit of sense." Rupert scratched his hair and sighed bitterly.

The main thing is that it came so suddenly that they had no similar idea before.

Even if Solomon and Eloise were harmonious together, neither of them ever associated in this way.

I thought I was getting a stepmother, but it turned out to be the real one!

"By the way, I don't suppose my sister-in-law knows about it?"

Rupert looked at Eloise like he thought Solomon was his own son.

They reminisce about how the two of them usually get along, how to put it, just extraordinarily well, like a real mother and son, and how Solomon is happy to listen to Eloise.

If one were unaware of this, one would not really think that the two were not biological.

If there is a blood relationship, that would be a good explanation. It's amazing how blood is something that has to be believed.

"She... shouldn't know." Hector replied with an expressionless face and a complicated heart.

"Alas, how things have come to this, earlier in the year we were all looking for it, and just when we were giving up, God came back with a joke."

Said Rupert, tapping his head in confusion.

Hector didn't say anything, his eyes were set on the distance and he seemed to be contemplating something.

After a moment, Hector spoke, "Check it out."

"Check what?" Rupert wondered.

It's his brother's side or his sister-in-law's side, there's so much to check.

After a long silence, Hector said slowly, "Check Eloise."

"Sister-in-law?" Rupert cocked his head and looked over at Hector.

"Well, replace out how she got pregnant, where she gave birth and where the baby went?"

Hector gave a slow, word-for-word account.

He can't leave now to guard Solomon, otherwise he would like to unravel the mystery himself.

Rupert froze at his words, noticing that his brother's demeanour had become unchanged from his usual stoic appearance, so calm that he looked as if he could sit at the negotiating table at any moment. "Do we have to check all this, will my sister-in-law be angry if she knows?" Rupert scratched his head a little helplessly.

"Don't let her know yet, and finally replace out who reported the baby to the Rogers family and how it was carried."

The clenched hand slowly loosened and then tightened again as Hector's mind struggled.

It's a few years old and it's just a bit of work to replace out, not necessarily impossible.

"You think there's something wrong in the middle of this, brother?" Rupert probably guessed something.

"Hmm." Rupert nodded.

They didn't think much of it at the time, except to confirm that Solomon was a Rogers family child and then left it at that.

No one has been able to claim the back either.

After so many years, the question suddenly surfaced.

Who actually put Solomon on the doorstep of the Rogers family back in the day?

What was his purpose? Just to deliver a child to the Rogers family?

To say that there is no inside story in this, he would not believe it.

Rupert thought about it and decided that he really should check it out, but he could hold off, he had Solomon to keep him company. Solomon suffered so much at such a young age and he was so distraught that he didn't want to leave for a moment.

"Brother, it's something to look into, I'll go as soon as Solomon is better."

Hector, however, refused, "Solomon doesn't need your company."

A bolt from the blue!

"Brother?"

Rupert said incredulously, "I'm Solomon's own uncle, you can't dislike me like that, besides, Solomon likes me a lot."

Despite Rupert's pathetic performance, Hector was not having it at all.

"There's plenty of company for him now, he's not short of people."

Seeing that there was little room for reprieve, Rupert dropped his head, still undeterred, and said, "None of those men were his uncle."

"Solomon has only just woken up and I'm a bit unsure."

Rupert licked his lips and tried to convince his authoritarian and dictatorial brother.

At these words, Hector gave him a faint look.

"It's in the hospital and the doctor is watching it twenty-four hours a day."

All roads were blocked and Rupert scratched his hair; it seemed that his brother was determined to kick him out.

The investigation was actually important too, but naturally he cared more about Solomon than his well-being.

"Well, if Solomon wants to see me, you'll have to let me know immediately." Rupert instructed uneasily.

Hector nodded his head and said impatiently, "Get going, there's a lot of work waiting for you at the office, how long are you going to work overtime here?" "How can my visit to see my lovely nephew be considered a waste of time." Rupert resented.

Hector didn't bother with him and blasted him off with a few more words.

"I'm going to have a look at Solomon."

Aisly was dragged to the ward, but Solomon was asleep again and Rupert had to take Aisly and leave first.

Seeing his sad face, Aisly softly reassured him, "Don't worry, Solomon will be fine."

Rupert opened the car door and sat in, sighing, "I hope it's okay too."

After all, enough has happened these days.

First Solomon was hit and then there was the news from the doctor and the whole thing had them all a bit frazzled. Seeing that he was still sullen, Aisly thoughtfully handed him a bottle of water.

Rupert said gratefully, "Aisly, it's still you who cares for me."

Giving him a blank look, Aisly said with amusement, "Okay stop being poor, it's time to get down to business."
