Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 733: I'd do anything for you
"Indeed I do." Hector nodded with a straight face.
Eloise was relieved to see him say that, it was a normal partnership.
With those words, Hector added a small chop to Eloise's plate, adding, "It's better to wait until after dinner to talk about it back at the office, I don't want you to be distracted while you're eating." At that, Eloise said nothing more and ate in peace.
After the meal, the pair returned to the office where the secretary brought up coffee and Eloise decided it was time to get down to business.
However, before she could speak first, Hector said directly, "Regarding those conditions stated in your proposal, I think they are all very good, so I agree to all of them."
His words caused Eloise to freeze for a moment, staring blankly at Hector and asking rhetorically, "All yes? Are you sure there's no problem?"
Seeing her dumbfounded look, Hector only found it cute and nodded blandly, "Yes, all of them."
But Eloise wasn't the type to look out for her own interests either, and uncertainly asked again, "But, but don't you think ... you'd have nothing to add?"
"No, I can accept all the conditions above."
He sounded extremely serious, without a hint of joking, and Eloise was at a loss for words for a moment.
Seeing her still look of disbelief, Hector raised an eyebrow, "What, not satisfied?"
This...
What was in the proposal was a completely unequal treaty and Eloise only started with the Darlington Group's perspective.
It was intended that Hector would discuss it with her, but he surprisingly agreed to all of it.
"Hector, this is a collaborative project, not a child's play, and I don't want you to get any personal feelings mixed up in it."
This time she called out Hector's big name straight away and her expression was unmistakably serious.
She doesn't want Hector to make concessions to the Darlington Group because of her; after all, business is business, not a relationship.
"Darlington Group's wines are not well known yet, but they sell well every year, not to mention that I have got to know all the estates below the winery and I believe in the quality of Darlington Group.
I am always suspicious of my partners, you can rest assured of that, there are no problems with the programme, I have nothing to add."
At these words, Hector takes a sip of his coffee and looks at Eloise with interest.
His favourite thing about her was her seriousness at work, charming and charismatic.
Seeing him say that made Eloise cry a little.
"Is that how you do business with other people too? It's not like the iron-blooded emperor that's being bandied about, they all say no one is going to take a penny more out of your hand, is the one I heard a fake Hector?" "No, that's really me, I do business with other people, not like you."
Hector's voice suddenly trailed off, his eyes fixed on Eloise.
His earnest eyes were blazing and Eloise avoided his gaze and whispered, "What's the difference, everyone's a businessman."
At this point she paused, flipped through the plan with her hand and pointed to one of the items on it and said, "Look here, it's completely unhelpful to the Rogers Group, you're probably going to lose money if you keep this up, and you're okay with that?"
Hector didn't speak again, just leaned forward and moved a little closer to her.
The testosterone-filled breath sprayed across Eloise's face and she couldn't help but subconsciously hold her breath.
Confining Eloise all the way to his arms, Hector pressed into her ear and said, word for word, "You hold a place in my heart like no other, so I would do anything for you."
Eloise froze for a moment, her blush abruptly flushed with heat and burned a little.
Raising her eyes to meet the man's dark eyes, Eloise was not only a little lost in thought.
Seeing Eloise's reaction, the corner of Hector's mouth ticked lightly.
Suddenly, he got up and sat back in his seat.
Suddenly less aggressive, Eloise reacts that she just looked away ... Must be quite the dandy...
A glance at Hector revealed a meaningful smile on the man's face.
Eloise had to silently pick up her coffee cup and take a small sip. Pretend that nothing has happened.
The coffee would have tasted normal and slightly bitter.
Why did it feel a little sweet in her mouth now?
It must be a problem with her palate.
"I still hope you will think it over, after all, the amount of money required for this partnership is not insignificant."
Eloise settled down and looked straight at Hector.
Hector laughed softly, his eyes soft and loving, and nodded, "It's fine."
Seeing that he was still bent on doing what he wanted to do, Eloise frowned, "You're crazy, why do you have to do this when you can make money, the Darlington Group are businessmen and don't appreciate you." The way the little woman jumped up and down because of him made Hector's heart happy.
"It's nothing to do with the Darlington Group, I'm mostly here for you."
"Do what for me, it's not like I can make money for you." Eloise didn't have the good sense to give a blank look.
Hector didn't care, "It doesn't matter whether you make money or not, it's your happiness that matters most to me, and this company is named after you. I won't say a word even if you sell the company later." With a brush, Eloise was not only blushing, but even the roots of her ears were red.
She subconsciously went to touch her coffee cup again, but it was already empty and there was no way to hide it.
Looking at the man in front of him, his legs casually folded, his straight suit trousers framing his slender legs and his bow tie meticulously tied at the top of his shirt.
Eloise felt a little unbelievable that a man who was such a big player in the business would go to such lengths for her.
And one can't help but be extremely curious about what he and he once were.
Glancing at her glass, she saw that it was already empty.
Hector pressed the intercom and ordered, "Send in a glass of juice, no extra sugar."
Coffee is refreshing, but still not good for the stomach.
Eloise's heart was warmed by the fact that he was so attentive and knew that he didn't like anything too sweet.
A short while later, the secretary brought in the juice and accidentally glanced at Eloise's still crimson cheeks.
However, she did not dare to stay in the office for too long, put down her juice and went out.
Eloise's cheeks burned so badly that she dared not look up into Hector's eyes.
But she could feel Hector's eyes lingering on her body and for a moment sat a little uncomfortably.
Seeing Eloise's discomfort, Hector spoke up to break the awkwardness.
"That's it for the new wine partnership, I'll get Thomas to put the word out in a few minutes, you just need to arrange for the winery to interface with us."
At these words, Eloise breathed a long sigh of relief, picked up the plan and said, "Then I wish us every success in this collaboration."
With those words, she held out her hand, which Hector politely returned, not doing anything excessive.
