Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 753: This Time and That Time
"If there are any new developments, let me know immediately." Hector commanded in a deep voice.
"Yes."
Almeida responded and turned to leave.
Hector looked in his departing direction with a growing frown.
Not long after, Thomas pushed open the door, "Hector, this is our new collaboration."
Hector signed his name with a general scan.
Thomas thought of Almeida's gloomy look when she left just now and couldn't help but ask, "Mr Hector, Miss Eloise she ..."
At that, Hector's mouth curled into a sneer, "Almeida can't either, but things are getting interesting."
He was smiling, but the coldness of it called out for a chill.
Thomas heard, "So what do we do next?"
Hector's bony fingers tapped slowly on the table, a hint of ruthlessness flashed in his eyes, "Since the other side wants to play this game with us, let's just play with him to the end."
Gathering his emotions, Hector lifted his eyes to look over and gave the order in a crisp, clear manner.
"You go and replace out about all the occasions Eloise has been in recently, the people she has been in contact with, and make a report for me, the more detailed the better, don't leave any details out, and remember, as soon as possible." Fearing a delay, Thomas hastened to enquire, "Mr Hector, when should we start checking?"
Hector's brow furrowed lightly, they were in the dark and had been very careful not to leave any evidence.
It shows that one must not act rashly and that every step is calculated just right so that one cannot replace a flaw.
It must not have been done in public, so it must have been indoors.
Again, in an unobtrusive place that is easily accessible and does not arouse Eloise's suspicion when injected... Thinking for a moment, Hector cut to the chase, "The hospital, that's definitely the problem."
"Yes."
Thomas received his orders and immediately went on his mission.
At this moment, inside a private villa on the outskirts of town, Rowson is on the phone.
The pool in the courtyard is clear and blue with sparkling waves.
"By the way, Hector already knows about the germ in Eloise's body, what do we do next?"
Rowson looks out over the crystal clear pool in the sunshine and plays with a perfectly formed jade pendant in his hands.
The rope unexpectedly snapped off when he wasn't paying attention and he threw the pendant hard into the pool with his hand. The clear water ripples and soon returns to calm.
"We'll talk about it when we meet."
At the end of the sentence, the other party hung up.
Looking at the already blacked out screen of his phone, Rowson couldn't help but clench his fists.
Ten minutes later, a black car pulled up in front of the villa.
A hotly dressed woman stepped out of the car, and it was Katerina, only today she was no longer in her nurse's uniform.
Rowson glanced over and beckoned to her, "Say, what's the solution now?"
Rowson half sits up, picks up the red wine from the table and pours it into a tall glass.
Katerina smiled and responded, "Hold your horses for a while, Hector has quite a crowd around him, so it looks like we need to keep an eye on him in the meantime. You shouldn't call me for anything important in future, lest Hector replace out and we'll all be left in the lurch."
After finishing her glass, Katerina got up to leave, but was stopped by Rowson with one hand.
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
Seeing the fire in his eyes, Katerina's mouth curled slightly and her tone rose considerably, "Oh? What else is going on?"
"Did you forget to give me the antidote."
With these words, Rowson placed the glass of red wine in his hand with a thud on the alabaster table.
Half of the red wine in the glass spilled out and the pure white table was suddenly a bright red.
"When I agreed to the deal I said I would make sure Eloise was safe! That was the premise of my promise to cooperate!"
Faced with an enraged Rowson, Katerina unconcernedly pinned her hair behind her ear, "This time, this time."
"There was a loud bang and a chair was kicked into the pool by Rowson, sending water splashing everywhere.
"The effects of that medicine are not even very clear to you, you clearly want to take her life!"
Out of anger, Rowson had lost his mind and the veins on his hands were rippling as if he was going to kill the woman opposite him in the next second.
In contrast to Rowson's fury, Katerina said calmly, "Don't be so harsh, it's scary to talk about death at every turn.
Halfway through the game, no one has to say quit, those who make it to the end are the winners, quit in the middle... of the game you know the result."
With that, she paused and looked at Rowson with a slightly playful meaning, "The antidote well ... I will give it, just, not at this time."
"And when do you want it for me?" Rowson asked with a sullen look.
Now he regrets for the millionth time that he agreed to work with this woman, who is even more terrifying than Marian.
While Marian still has a purpose, Katerina is a bystander like a spectator, dominating the game.
Katerina dusted off her clothes and said carelessly, "What's the hurry? Wouldn't it be more fun to give it to her when she has an attack?
Don't you want to deal with Hector? Here's your chance, do it while he's been worried about the antidote for the past two days, otherwise you, don't stand a chance."
Rowson took a deep breath before easing up a bit and said in a slow voice, "What's the point of getting killed all at once, it's the slow hanging that gives you the sense of achievement."
Seeing his confident look, Katerina said disdainfully, "I'm afraid you don't know that yet, do you? Last time with your Darlington Group winery, although he lost a lot of money, but Hector is Hector after all, that little shortfall, quickly made up, has not the slightest impact on his strength."
At that, Rowson sneered, "How can you make money when your reputation is already stinking."
"Fame? Heh."
Katerina gave a cold look to the cocky Rowson with mockery in the corner of her eye.
"It's the executives of the two companies that have ruined their reputations, so what does it have to do with Hector if they are replaced? The money is still being made."
"He's putting all the blame on the top brass?"
Rowson suddenly looked at her with a tight frown as he heard this.
"What company doesn't have a few assholes, take this opportunity just to get the police involved in the investigation, JS Group so cooperative not only left a good impression with the police department, by the way, also unearthed the assholes, to say the least, you still helped him out."
With that, Katerina took a sip of the rest of her red wine and looked at Rowson, who was silent, with the corners of her eyes raised.
Rowson gritted his teeth and punched the wall with red eyes, "Fine, he's good, he can lose a fortune, I don't believe he can afford to keep tossing and turning!"
