Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 782: Who's Behind You
Even the bartender was stunned by his desperate drinking style; he hadn't seen many people who drank like that.
Sure enough, with one bite, Rowson coughed violently and looked even worse.
The strong wine in his throat was searing his stomach.
However, the physical pain was no match for the pain he felt in his heart.
The look in Eloise's eyes before she left was replayed all over her head.
It is full of alienation and strangeness.
A soft, boneless hand gently patted his back at this point.
The bartender cast her a look of awe; this woman was formidable and dared to provoke this King of Hell.
Rowson's stomach was coughing out in distress at the moment and he couldn't care less about the hand on his back.
"Good grief."
A soft sigh rang out from his ears, but to Rowson it was like a thunderclap in the noisy bar.
Rowson snapped his head up and looked at the woman through gritted teeth, "It's you again!"
The woman in front of him smiled delicately and sat down next to him, ruffling her hair flirtatiously.
"Naturally it's me, who do you think would still be here with you now, Eloise, don't dream, she abandoned you a long time ago, didn't she?"
At the mention of his taboo, Rowson burst into a rage, "Get out of my sight!"
Straight away she smashed the bottle in her hand, but Katerina didn't care and dodged his attack with a side-step.
Then, in the mood to ask the bartender for the wine he was blending in his hand, he held it in his hand and played with it repeatedly, playing with it: "What, am I right?
It's no use getting mad at me, the person who took Eloise is Hector, go after them if you can."
The name Hector was the last thing on Rowson's lips right now, so he looked a little darker and said angrily, "Don't mention his name in front of me!"
Katerina shrugged, "You're really good at fooling yourself, I told you this day would come, you're the one who's still drunk on the beautiful dream that Eloise would like you, heh."
In the face of Katerina's repeated provocations, Rowson's aura at this point was that of a shura from hell, as if he would kill someone in the next moment.
"Have you said enough? If you've said enough, get out! Katerina, don't you challenge me!"
Katerina smiled and said compassionately, "I don't think you can really compete with Hector in your current state, so give up while you can, no wonder even Eloise can't see you." With a thud, Rowson slammed a wine glass hard to the floor and looked at Katerina with eyes that almost spewed fire.
"Katerina!"
Seeing his irritated look, Katerina was in a good mood and continued to add fuel to the fire, "I'm serious, you're here drinking away your sorrows and people don't see you, you're probably with Hector right now." At this point Rowson's face was so grim that water could drip out of it.
Rowson, who had been provoked by Katerina's three words, had forgotten that Eloise was not his in the first place.
In terms of first come first served, it was Hector who came first too.
But he couldn't think about it now, all he could think about was the image of Hector fighting with him over Eloise.
Shifting all his anger onto Hector, Rowson was full of curses at the moment.
It's Hector, it's that damned sexagenarian, and if he hadn't shown up, Eloise would still be with him right now.
He hates it so much!
He's going to kill that man!
Tilting his head, he took another sip of strong wine down his throat.
Katerina's smile deepened at the sight of the intense hatred in Rowson's eyes.
Hate it, the more you hate it, the better.
However, Rowson's desperate drinking style is also oddly intimidating.
Snatching the bottle out of his hand, Katerina snapped, "You really want to drink yourself to death, this is strong wine, it can really kill you."
Rowson sulked and went to grab the bottle, "Give me that!"
Rowson was now a little drunk and couldn't help but look at the scene in front of him with a few more layers of redirection.
Tossing the bottle away from her, Katerina said good-naturedly, "Rowson, think about it, who cares if you drink yourself to death? Who could be hurt? No one can be hurt, instead it will be cheaper for the people who robbed you, so ..." She moved closer to Rowson, her red lips flicking open as she spat out the vicious words.
"All you have to do is get back with a vengeance!"
Rowson's stomach lurched and he vomited furiously.
"Vomit ..."
Katerina dodged Rowson in disgust and took a step back.
Looking hatefully at Rowson, who was hugging a bin and throwing up, he cursed under his breath, "Why are you so useless!"
After Rowson threw up, his whole body was much more awake.
Helped to sit in a corner by Katerina, she asked him for another glass of ice water.
Rowson's face was now ugly and his whole being radiated mourning.
Katerina didn't bother with that and threw out her own conditions.
"If you want to get back at him, I can provide you with the manpower."
Rowson tugged at his tie, lifted his eyes to look at Katerina and sneered, "Why do you want to help me? I take it you came here today with bad intentions."
Katerina is amazed at Rowson's perceptiveness, not realising that the man who was hurting one second is acting like nothing is wrong the next.
It seems she underestimated Rowson.
This man is in love and is brainless for the moment, but he won't stay brainless.
Just as he was about to speak, Rowson leaned forward, his face still hard, but his eyes had regained their clarity.
He said, word for word, "You want to bring down Hector, why? The man behind you, who is he?"
Katerina's heart panicked and her body instantly tightened, but only for a moment, laughing softly, "What are you talking about, I just can't stand to look at him."
She reached for Rowson's tie and pulled the man closer, her wintry eyes and red lips fluttering together.
"I hate how he's always all high and mighty, and frankly, I like you better, Mr. Rowson."
Rowson met her expressionlessly for a long moment, opened her hand and, disgusted, untied his tie and threw it in the bin.
The dislike in his eyes was unmistakable, and Katerina's teeth clenched with hatred.
This man, some days, is even more odious than Hector!
However, remembering her purpose, she struggled a little.
"Rowson, think carefully, after this village, there's no place for you ..."
Before she could finish, Rowson asked again, "Who is the man behind you?"
Katerina continued to talk tough, "I told you, there's no one behind this, I'm just trying to help you out because I don't like Hector." "Forget about it."
Rowson didn't bother to listen to her nonsense, this woman, she really thinks she is a fool.
He stood up and headed straight out.
Katerina tugged at his shirt and looked up at him, her eyes twinkling.
A look of wanting to say something but not doing so.
Rowson locked eyes with her for a long moment before pushing her hand away and turning to leave.
As he walks, he takes off his suit and throws it in the trash.
