Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 816: My Name is Bergerian
"Don't ask so many questions yet, just hurry up and help me replace someone!"
Rowson didn't sound very nice and had hung up before Katerina could answer.
Katerina, who had been inexplicably harassed, looked at the darkened screen and became a little angry.
Now even he dares to ride on his neck and spill the beans!
She wouldn't have stooped so low if she hadn't been constrained.
The panic in Hector's heart increased as the minutes ticked by.
He kept looking at the blacked out screen of his phone and nothing came in about Eloise.
Eloise, where the hell are you ...
And Eloise, no longer knowing where she had gone, looked out over the empty streets and couldn't help but feel a slight sense of heartache and exhaustion.
But she didn't dare stop in the slightest, she didn't want to go back to that claustrophobic little space.
My stomach rumbled at this point.
She rummaged through her upper pockets, which were empty.
She was not penniless when she escaped from inside the villa, she just fell at the entrance of the villa and presumably dropped her purse out, she was in a hurry and couldn't think about anything. As for the phone, it had long since been confiscated by Rowson, much to Eloise's distress.
In this place, she could not contact anyone and had no money, so she had to wander the streets.
Pain returned to her ankle and Eloise fought through the pain to keep going.
The late night wind was a little chilly and Eloise couldn't help but hug her arms tighter.
Because of hunger, her hearing and vision had dropped by a degree.
Not even aware that he had stepped out into the middle of the road.
A sudden honking of the siren, and the blinding light, pulled her thoughts back.
Seeing the car close at hand, Eloise was unable to avoid it and fell backwards in panic.
For a moment, I thought I was going to die for sure.
However, with a harsh braking sound, the car stopped in time, but still scraped her at the calf.
Looking at her bloodied calf, Eloise was annoyed that it had been such a bad night.
At that moment, the car door opened and a man came down.
He walked up to Eloise and enquired, "Are you all right, this young lady?"
Shadows loomed over Eloise's head as she struggled to get up.
Tilting her head just in time to meet the man's gaze, Eloise withdrew her gaze and waved her hand, "I'm fine, nothing's wrong."
She doesn't want to get into any trouble now.
Eloise said and was about to leave, but was pulled by the man's arm.
The man squatted down and looked at her bleeding calf with a serious look, "How can you call this okay, it's already bleeding, this time it's my responsibility and I'll be responsible to the end." "It's really fine ..."
"Miss, I'm not the kind of person who leaves when I get into trouble, please don't be turning me down, I'll take you to the hospital."
At that, Eloise pursed her lips and could not say anything more in rebuttal.
In fact, it is good to go to the hospital so that the wound does not become inflamed, which is even more troublesome when the time comes.
Once in the car, the man turned back and introduced himself, "My name is Bergerian, I'm English, I don't know what to call you? You seem to have an Oriental face to me."
Eloise hesitated and made one up off the top of her head, "My name is ... Sofía."
The strange man in front of her is not quite enough for Eloise to give her real name; after all, she must be careful in a foreign country.
After hearing her answer, Bergerian nodded, "Sofía, why are you out alone at this late hour?"
"I, I just got lost by accident so..."
Eloise lied casually; she couldn't tell him she'd escaped.
Bergerian nodded slightly and didn't ask any more questions.
The rest of the way was wordless.
On arrival at the emergency department of the hospital, the doctor gave Eloise's wound a simple treatment.
She only had a bruise, it wasn't serious.
The doctor twisted the ankle that he had sprained while running away, and it was much better after the pain of being caught off guard. The whole journey took less than twenty minutes.
Looking at Bergerian beside her, the doctor still cautioned, "She has a slight sprain in her ankle, remember not to bounce easily if you go back." "Good."
Before Eloise could say anything, Bergerian answered straight away.
Emerging from the hospital, Eloise looked out into the darkness of the night, a little bewildered.
She had no money, no mobile phone and no one she knew, so where did she go from here.
"Where do you live at home, let me take you back."
The Bergerian gentleman's query rang in his ears.
Eloise was stunned to hear that her home... was not even here.
Going back, where could she go back.
The sudden surge of sadness caused Eloise's voice to catch a little, "No, thank you."
Eloise tries to pretend that nothing is wrong, but the sadness in her eyes gives away the emotions in her heart.
Bergerian gazed at her for a long time, his eyes unusually focused, as if they could suck someone in, yet with a hint of evil.
Abruptly, he laughed, slightly teasingly, "It's a runaway, isn't it?"
A little embarrassed, Eloise gave a vague "hmm" before saying goodbye again and preparing to leave.
Seeing that Eloise seemed a little angry, Bergerian took a few steps up to her and said sincerely, "I'm sorry, I apologise, I shouldn't have presumed."
Eloise froze for a moment and was busy saying, "No, no, no, I've already taken up so much of your time, it's not good to bother you again."
"I drive, it's easy, instead you..."
Bergerian pondered for a moment and made a suggestion, "I'll take you to a hotel, get you a room and you can have a good night's rest as a token of my reparation, okay?" Although he knew he wasn't a nice guy, he was the one who hit the person anyway and deserved a favour.
Besides, it's just a handful.
Eloise sniffed and hastily refused.
She was not badly injured in the first place, and when they brought her to the hospital, they were already doing their best and were not obliged to help her replace a place to stay. Although she is, right now, really in need of help.
However, she did not want to get it that way, nor did she want to be in debt.
Bergerian, however, said seriously, "Why not? It's late and you'll be in trouble if you meet some more unsuspecting people."
Then he told Eloise that the street, at night, would be full of drunken drunks.
They are unscrupulous and will bully passers-by, especially single women.
Eloise listened with a shudder and subconsciously glanced around.
The more you look, the more you feel as if a demon could come out of those dark places at any moment.
Seeing this, a very faint smile tugged at the corners of Bergerian's mouth, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, but I was really a little worried, after all, anyone would be moved by a beautiful young lady like you." Needless to say, Eloise was a little shaken by his words.
Only, this man in front of her, although he helped her, was still a stranger in the end.
It's better to replace a 24-hour convenience store near you for the night, you should be fine.
