Love Comes To Me
Chapter 863: Ten years as one day

As soon as he walked into the house, he was quickly greeted by the old butler.

"Master, you're back."

"Hmm."

Master Khan nodded his head.

"Are these the ...?"

At the sight of a few people behind Master Khan, the old butler froze.

The old man gave some brief introductions and the butler hurriedly welcomed them inside with a smile.

Eloise took the child inside and surveyed the room.

The mansion, with its ancient flavour and antique decorations everywhere, is decorated with furniture, and there are many paintings and calligraphy on the walls. Very spacious, just a little less crowded.

When you count them, there are only the housekeeper and a handful of servants.

Edgar explained in a low voice by Eloise's side, "Grandpa doesn't like a lot of people and noise, so usually only he and the butler and the others live in the mansion." Eloise nods knowingly.

The group also followed Master Khan to the hall.

"You can arrange a room for them to stay later!"

Master Khan glanced at the large clock on the wall and instructed the old butler.

It's already too late today, so even if we want to have a good chat, we need to get a good night's rest first and wait until tomorrow.

The old butler answered and led the four members of Eloise's family to the first floor guest room.

Edgar's family would often return to the old Khan family home, so several of them had rooms here.

After thanking the old housekeeper, Eloise and Hector went back to their room to rest with a small child in one arm.

The following day, early in the morning.

Sweety and Solomon were the first to wake up.

When they woke up the two little ones laughed and played together until Eloise and Hector were also woken up. "Mummy, Daddy! Sweety is hungry!"

When the two opened their eyes, Sweety squeezed in between them without saying a word, shouting in a milky voice.

Solomon, on the other hand, looked like a little adult and frowned at Sweety, "Sweety, brother will take you down to breakfast, so don't disturb daddy and mummy in bed." "It's okay, Solomon, come here for a hug from Mummy."

Eloise's voice still raspy from her recent nap, she rubbed her eyes and waved at Solomon.

Solomon's little face flushed and he muttered that he was no longer a child as he leaned into Eloise's arms.

The family of four made a bit of a fuss, washed up and went downstairs in one piece.

In the hall on the ground floor, Edgar is sitting in front of the sofa, holding a newspaper and reading it.

Baggott and Shang Ying, on the other hand, sat at the dining table, eating breakfast in a harmonious atmosphere.

The old couple is both old and old, yet revealingly warm.

"Good morning cousin, my brother-in-law and aunt are up so early too."

As Eloise says good morning, Sweety pulls her brother Solomon along and trots over to Baggott and Shang Ying, looking on with bated breath.

Shang Ying's heart melted as she was looked at by the two little munchkins like this, "Just in time, your breakfast is all served, come and eat."

Immediately, he stood up, picked up the two little ones and placed them on the chair.

Eloise's eyes looked up and down the large living room and did not spot Master Khan.

"Where's Grandpa?"

Edgar took his eyes off the newspaper and returned, "Grandpa's gone to look after his precious medicinal fields, I'll show you when you've had breakfast!" Eloise nods and pulls Hector down to his seat.

The breakfast was very generous and Sweety and Solomon, both of them, ate with rounded little tummies.

Eloise and Hector had also finished eating, before Edgar led the family of four to a courtyard at the back of the mansion.

As far as the eye can see is a vast expanse of emerald green herbs and various exotic plants.

As soon as you get close, you can also smell a peculiarly fresh aroma of herbs, with a faint floral scent.

Hector fixed his eyes and took a closer look at the herb fields.

Most of them are precious herbs that are extremely difficult to grow, as well as a number of rare flower varieties.

These take effort and dedication to cultivate, otherwise it is difficult to make a difference.

And Master Khan not only planted it, he seems to have taken good care of it.

This shows how much he loved the herb category.

And in that emerald green field of medicine, Master Khan could be seen busy there.

"Can Grandpa take care of such a big area all by himself?"

Eloise looked a little stunned and muttered to herself.

Edgar smiled and looked at Elder Fang, who was busy in the medicinal field, and said, "This medicinal field is all Grandpa's treasure, which he and Grandma used to plant together." "It would have been a pain and a chore to look after such a large field of medicine, but Grandpa never let outsiders touch it."

Speaking of which, Edgar sighed and shook his head.

Eloise was dumbfounded and couldn't help but exclaim, "Grandpa is amazing."

Just looking at it, one can imagine how hard it must be to look after such a large field of medicine.

But not only has Master Khan stuck around for ten years, he has also taken such good care of it.

It's a paranoid fondness for medicine, I guess.

Perhaps, more than anything, it was a way for Grandpa to express his feelings for Grandma.

Eloise suddenly remembered Hector.

He had also always doted on her as he had done at the beginning, and although she did not remember many things, there was no deception in that genuine affection. Master Khan straightens his back after watering the patch of herbs in front of him and catching the pests away by the way.

He hammered his back, which was sore from being bent all the time, and turned his head to replace Eloise and the others standing a short distance away.

"Eloise, what brings you guys here? Have you had breakfast yet?"

Master Khan smiled as he put down the tools in his hands and walked over to them.

"I've eaten, Grandpa, but it's you who have been in the medicine field since you got up so early, so hard work."

Eloise took out the tissues she carried from her body and wiped the sweat from Master Khan's forehead.

At Eloise's thoughtful demeanour, Mr Fong nodded very happily.

The two children who came with them also called out to Master Khan in a very polite manner.

Sweety pointed to the nearest cluster of flowers in full bloom and asked, "Great-grandfather, what kind of flower is this? It's so beautiful!"

Master Khan looked up.

It was a small cluster of pale blue flowers, clustered together in small, tight clusters.

Elder Fang's gaze softened abruptly.

He knelt down and rubbed Sweety's head, answering patiently.

"It's called forget-me-not, and the flower's language is longing."

Edgar brought a pot of herbal tea while they were chatting.

Each poured a glass and distributed it to those present.

Master Khan was also thirsty after working for so long, and after downing a cup of herbal tea in one gulp he intended to continue tending to the medicinal fields. "Grandpa, do you need help?"

Looking out over a large field of herbs, Eloise couldn't help but smile out loud and ask.

Master Khan waved his hand with a smile as he picked up his tools and said, "No, no! I'm used to doing it myself, I'm not used to having people handle it! You just take the two little ones and have a good time!" Eloise could only nod her head as Master Khan had said so much.

"Grandpa, don't get tired."

She droned on.

Master Khan smilingly responded and then said to Edgar, "Ah Sum, you take Eloise and Hector for a stroll around the mansion, I'll be ready soon."

Eloise and Edgar nod their heads in response.

The two children said goodbye to Master Khan at Hector's gesture.

Several people walked out of the medicinal field and Edgar was ready to take them on a stroll around the mansion as well.
