Love Comes To Me
Chapter 897: I have a condition

"Mr Pierce is joking."

Hector's faint voice carried over and Pierce's laughter was heard the next second.

"Then I'll get down to business. I wonder if it would be convenient for you to transfer a batch of medicinal herbs recently, preferably a pint of red and strychnine. I'm returning to Italy in the near future, and I'll be bringing a batch back with me by the way."

How could Hector not know what he was up to?

It was to confirm Hector's sincerity before leaving.

Hector's dark eyes narrowed and his cheeks flashed a little in the moonlight, and he was silent for a moment before saying, "That's for sure, but it takes time to mix herbs..." Hector seemed a little embarrassed, but he said that on purpose.

Soon Pierce was heard to ask, somewhat uncertainly, "Mr Hector, this thing then?"

Hector looked up at the half-round moon hanging in the night sky and spoke nonchalantly, "How could I refuse Mr Pierce's request?

What do you think about this batch of herbs, which I will personally send to Italy when they are ready on my side?"

He said this with a lot of sincerity.

Pierce smiled with satisfaction as he listened and said with relief, "Still Mr Hector has thought of everything!"

I was just testing the waters, but I didn't expect Hector to be so up for it?

Hector talked to him a few more times before hanging up the phone.

Hector had a slightly complicated look on his face as he pondered for a moment before opening his address book.

Without hesitation, he dialed Arlice's mobile number and, after a few seconds, the caller was connected.

Arlice's somewhat surprised voice came over the phone, "Hello, Mr Hector, what's up?"

Hector said in a light voice, "There's one thing I need your help with, right now Pierce needs a shipment of pinks and strychnine, do you have a way to get them?" Arlice was a little surprised that Hector had asked for it?

At this juncture, whatever favour Arlice had to do, he nodded his head without hesitation and promised, "That's definitely manageable! Don't worry, I'll do whatever you need to do to help!" Arlice even changed his name in passing, and his eyes lit up as if he could already see the money beckoning him ahead!

Hector tugged lightly at the corners of his mouth and glanced back through the floor-to-ceiling window at Eloise in the living room, and at the children playing, not bothering to correct Arlice's close call. Arlice followed up by saying, "However, cousin husband, our project with SA Group, your side... is sure to participate, right?"

Arlice is jumping up and down with excitement, if this partnership comes to fruition, it will be no small amount!

In fact, that project is on hold and needs a large sum of money.

The only one who could save them at short notice now was Hector.

Arlice waited for Hector's reply with both anticipation and apprehension.

Still, the heart saw Eloise as the last straw.

Hector, for Eloise's sake, would have given him a few moments of face, right?

Fittingly, the next second, Arlice heard Hector say, "I can participate and allocate funds, but..."

Arlice was overjoyed, and before Hector could finish, he interrupted joyfully, "Thank you so much indeed! I'm sure my cousin would be delighted too if she knew you were looking after us so well!" "However, I have one condition."

Hector spoke out slowly and methodically, completely ignoring the nonsense he was talking about.

Conditions?

These two words seemed to pour cold water over Arlice's burning heart, cooling it in half.

Subconsciously, he felt that the conditions proposed by Hector could not be too simple.

He asked hesitantly, "Sh, what are the conditions?"

"I have a few changes to make to the contract, and if you don't agree, then there's no point in talking about it." Hector's voice was clear and cold.

Hector has the capital to pull out at any time, but for Arlice and his son, they are currently relying on the Rogers Group.

In Hector's case, they had no initiative at all and naturally had to agree to his demands.

Arlice gritted his teeth as he wondered what terms Hector was going to make.

However, the contract could not be smashed in his hands, so he had to agree, "Yes, then send me confirmation of what needs to be changed!"

There is a slight sense of hopelessness in Arlice's words.

After all, he didn't have the capital to negotiate with Hector.

Hector gave a satisfied "hmm", his eyes like dots of ink.

After finishing his call with Arlice, he called his assistant Thomas and explained: "You go to the office first thing in the morning and change the terms of that contract with the Farabee father and son. Firstly, this project follows on and we have full knowledge on our side.

Secondly, the Khan Group has a part of our involvement and decision-making power in making any plans and decisions related to the project.

Third, regular reporting on the use of funds, and the progress of the project ..."

Hector said several things in a clear and articulate manner, almost killing the possibility that Arlice and his son could do something sinister

Thomas listened as he replied respectfully, "Yes, Prince!"

It was then that Hector reached up and rubbed the spot on his brow, seemingly a little weary.

...

The next day, Farabee and Arlice, father and son, sat in their office with the documents that had just been transmitted to them.

The face is ugly!

Arlice frowned as he read through Hector's revised terms and conditions and said, somewhat incredulously, "Is this a bullying clause? It's unreasonable! Is he trying to manipulate us!" Arlice was in a tizzy!

How much anticipation there was yesterday, how much anger there is now.

Is it hard for Hector to be playing them?

Farabee looked embarrassed as she took her eyes off the contract in her hands and frowned, "Arlice, are you sure this is from Hector?"

Farabee was also furious in his mind and he was a little hesitant to say anything too soon, after all.

Only to hear, with some indignation, Arlice say, "So there's a lie?"

Farabee couldn't help but rub his chin as if he was thinking, he shook his head and said, "Son, don't jump to conclusions just yet ..."

Arlice's heart of injustice was temporarily silenced by Farabee and his whole body was on the edge of its seat.

After a while, Farabee said with certainty, "There is nothing wrong with Hector doing this, it is after all a multi-billion dollar project. It's only natural for him to be cautious. You, on the other hand, can't be too fussy about things!" Arlice blushed a little white at the reprimand, but still replied disgruntledly, "Aren't a few hundred million just a small amount to the Rogers Group?"
