Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 899: There's simply no way to repay
In the evening, the sky is magnificent with a haze of smoke staining a large area of the sky.
Hector returns to Rogers Villa and, not seeing Eloise in the living room, asks the maid. Knowing that Eloise was in the backyard, he took a step in the direction of the backyard.
Before he could walk out, he heard Eloise's voice coming from her chair, her back turned in his direction, and she appeared to be on the phone with someone.
He couldn't help but stand and lean against the glass door in the backyard, his brow mild as he watched Eloise's back.
Her long hair draped over her shoulders was a little disheveled by the wind, and her voice was sweet, "Grandpa, I know everything you said, don't worry. On the other hand, how is your health these days?"
It turned out to be a phone call with Grandpa Khan.
Eloise is particularly close to her new grandfather, probably because she, too, can feel Grandpa Khan's affection for her.
Probably because of the guilt she felt towards her mother and incidentally some sense of indebtedness to her.
However, Eloise doesn't care what it's because of; instead, she cherishes the happiness of having more loved ones.
Grandpa Khan knew she was concerned about her health and was busy saying, "I'm perfectly healthy! It's just that I miss Solomon and Sweety in particular, and I've been thinking about the two little ones for a few days now that they've been back ..."
The implication: I want to see my grandson and granddaughter!
Eloise felt a little cute as she listened to what her grandfather had to say.
"Grandpa, it's only been a few days?" Eloise stifled a laugh and deliberately joked.
Grandpa Khan grunted softly, "Haven't you ever heard of the saying, 'A day without seeing you is like three years without seeing you'?"
"Yes, yes, yes, you're right!"
Eloise echoed Grandpa Khan while laughing with pleasure.
She could sense that Grandpa Khan genuinely liked both children.
"Anyway, ah, I'll go to City J to see you guys when I can these days, otherwise it's always on my mind ...," the old man rambled on again.
And Eloise listened patiently, picking up a few words now and then, smiling without a trace of impatience.
Hector, who had watched behind her for a long time, his brow softened, and instead of making a sound to disturb, he turned with a smile and eased his steps away.
He went upstairs into his study and had just placed his mobile phone casually on the desk when it rang abruptly.
Hector glanced down absently at the call from Edgar.
He picked up the phone again, picked it up, and heard Edgar's very grateful voice come through.
"Cousin husband, today the three princes of the ji family, the Yun family and the Jing family, suddenly came to my door together to talk about cooperation. I know that it must be you who helped from this, thank you so much indeed." Hearing Edgar's grateful voice, Hector raised an eyebrow and smiled lightly, "We are all family, no need to be so polite. Their willingness to work with you also has to do with your own abilities, so make the most of your opportunity." With Hector's affirmation and encouragement, Edgar was a little excited and full of energy, "Well, I will!"
And then, after a few more brief moments of small talk, the two ended the call.
Edgar made a mental note of Hector's kindness and he made sure to return the favour in the future.
Hector bowed his head and began to work, and within a few moments there was an abrupt, small sound from the study door.
Looking up, I see Eloise with a fruit plate in her hands, heading in the direction of the desk.
She smiled Sweety's smile, her eyes curved up like crescent moons and bright as stars.
Hector watched Eloise step by step, where was the thought of work?
"You've been working since you got back from the office, are you tired? Take a break and have some fruit first." Eloise was a little distressed that Hector had been so busy these days and was still at work now that he was home. Hector smiled, his heart softening as he looked into Eloise's aching eyes.
Eloise walks over and puts the fruit plate in her hand on the table, picks up a fork, forks up a piece of orange and feeds it to Hector.
The smile in Hector's eyes deepened and he accepted it readily, taking her wrist in his hands and carrying her towards his arms.
Instantly the warm, soft fragrance of his arms filled his senses and Hector held Eloise a little tighter, his eyes darkening.
Eloise was caught off guard when she jumped into the man's arms, shy and embarrassed, but she didn't struggle, and wrapped her arms around his neck.
The study is quiet and the two enjoy this rare moment of leisure time that is theirs.
After a moment, the little woman in her arms spoke softly, "Honey, thank you for everything you've done for me and for the Khan family."
She knew about Hector helping the Khan family, and she knew in her heart that Hector was doing it for her.
Hector, however, just rubbed his chin against the soft top of her head and said, without much concern, "This little favour is nothing. Anyone who has been good to you, I will return them twice as much." Hector has simply taken the spirit of love for the house to the extreme.
Eloise rubbed the material on his chest, her nose a little sore.
Why was this man so good to her? So good that she felt she had nothing to offer in return.
Hector held her with a contented heart, the warmth of the moment that they had experienced so much for.
He held her so tightly that it was as if he wanted to rub her into his bones and blood.
Eloise buried her cheek in his embrace, her nostrils were filled with the scent she was so fond of, making her feel completely safe!
It seemed that no matter what happened, even if the sky fell, she could rest easy as long as this man was there.
Some time later, the butler's voice sounded at the door, "Prince, Miss Eloise, it's time for dinner."
Eloise poked Hector in the chest and the next moment, that hand was firmly in his grasp and she met the man's haunted eyes as soon as she raised them.
"Eat, eat up..." Eloise's cheeks were flushed as if she were a kitten.
Hector lost his smile and said, "Let's go."
This little woman can't stand to be teased at all.
Eloise and Hector came down and the family had a lovely dinner.
The light pouring down overhead, contrasting with the night outside the window, adds to the warmth of the atmosphere.
...
Arlice and Farabee were efficient and it only took a few days or so to prepare the quantities of herbs that Hector needed.
Hector called Pierce straight after he got the news.
"Mr Pierce, I have prepared the herbs you need on my side and I will personally deliver them to Italy in two days."
As soon as he said that, Pierce was heard to laugh: "Really? It seems that our decision to work with Mr Hector could not have been more correct. Well, I'll welcome you in Italy." And Eloise knew that Hector was going to Italy again.
There was more or less a shadow in her heart about that place, and when she heard that Hector was going, she couldn't help but start to worry.
After all, it's a foreign country and if something goes wrong, it's not as easy to fix as it would be at home.
Looking at the worry in Eloise's eyes, Hector took her into his arms and said softly, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
While saying this, he gently patted her back as if coaxing a child.
Eloise would be convinced and tightened her grip around his waist and said in a muffled voice, "Then be careful and make sure you come back safely..."
